Wow this feels like a dream, I hope it does well cause I can think of some iconic reunions. Honestly I feel bad for all the bad things I said about MtV over the years, they are gonna feed us 2021

thank the president of the network whose a big fan of the franchise the previous almost killed it.

I wonder how many of the good seasons can they actually get all the cast to do it to actually get a green light to film for it?

I feel like one of the hardest one would be the San Francisco one.

I can only see Vegas I & II maybe Los Angeles if they can get Tami & David to be in the same room.

Aaron and Dominic would never do it so LA is out

That's fine. Just throw Tami, Beth, David, and Jon in there and we are good.

TBH though, I'm shocked that Julie and Kevin did this.

Julie did a previous reunion with Norman and Heather. Kevin is by far the most surprising

So a week of filming is like 2-3 episodes?

Money talks!

Season 1 one is probably one of the easiest ones to convice to do it

I feel like money talk and they can get anyone that is second guessing and if they simply can't get someone then they could combine other seasons to live together like if somebody from NY couldn't attend then throw on somebody from Los Angeles.

Nvm

If they can't get the whole cast of 2, 3 or 4 together it would be cool to get as many as they can from those three seasons! But even if it's a one and done I'm so stoked

I like that idea too.  Like a "Real World All Stars" with well known ones instead of a room full of Aarons and Glenns lmao

Interesting.. i mean this aired in 1990... the people who watched this are like 42-60 years old.. i get the nostalgia but I'm not sure this will ring in many viewers lol.

they should have started with like Back to New York. I'm 30 and I started watching with Chicago

I want to see Chicago reunite the most! I feel like it's such an underrated season!

I started with Vegas and only because I saw 3 black people lol

Started with Austin and then forced myself to go back and watch past seasons. I wanna see Chicago & Hawaii in full every other season I've seen.

Im 30 and started with back to New York and even went out and bought the linkin park hybrid theory album without knowing anything about it just because Mike went to their concert. Started watching the challenge just bc of mike and Coral on battle of the seasons. I wish I could easily (and for free) go back and watch some of the old seasons, like I don't remember B2NY because I was so young other than the racial division and Rachel being too young to go out and party with them

Why are people saying if they do other season Aaron (LA) and Frank (Vegas) wouldn't do it? What's the inside info?

Frank is 85-90% likely done doing challenges. I think something like this might work for him though.

The LA cast confirmed on multiple occasions that Aaron distanced himself from the show and only spoke with Dom.  Aaron went to work in public accounting with D&T and thought the show was bad for his image (hence the drama over the calendar photos) and has since progressed to CEO of a few companies (last I heard anyway).  I can't foresee any way that he'd consider this but money does talk even though he's apparently very well off.   And it has been almost 30 years.

I'm not sure why Frank wouldn't do it unless he's still angry about not being cast after G3

Wonder how much Kyle Brandt would need to be paid to show up?  lol

MTV is producing, so It will first be on the Network then eventually to CBS all access -- also why it's in NY.  They have a stable of employees they need to keep busy (employed) while businesses in NYC shutter.

Why do you assume this is a singular taping?   A couple of cast members from other seasons have gone public with their skepticism for a variety of reasons.  To the lay person this should suggest MTV has a particular near-term plan.

Agreed. I started at Vegas and personally have no interest to watch this. Doubt that age group would tune into MTV for this but we'll see.

I doubt I was one of the youngest watching--plus, back in the day they reshowed those seasons.  I'm saying anyone mid 30s and older would be interested.   Plus Eric Nies and Heather B have their own fan bases.  Not saying they''ll bring in millions or anything crazy but I'd be shocked if people won't watch.   Especially this is a reunion of the orginiality of reality TV or at least that's how they'll sell it

lol it's just the ageists on here thinking anything that is currently airing won't work on tv - with the original season being so iconic and starting reality tv I feel like this was the smart season to start with this. I was way to young to see this season when it aired but watched it a few years ago and it was excellent.

Right?  Didn't they have it on Facebook Live or something too?

Also, "old" people in their 30s and older tend to watch more live TV anyways  lol

New York & LA are the only RW seasons I haven't seen, but I'm stoked to see this happening & will definitely go & watch those seasons soon.

this would do well if they release the original season on Netflix or start showing the reruns on MTV before hand. I have seen this season just as a reality TV addict but I doubt most people still watching MTV today have

They should have Dave Holmes host this.

They should film it on an outdoor set like America's Got Talent for covid safety.

They need to do this with reuniting early Challenge seasons too.
