I feel like the consensus was that The Real World changed after the Vegas season.
Yes, Vegas is known as the season that changed RW. Chicago is viewed as the final season of the OG type shows. Moving forward it became more about the casts attraction to one another than racism, sexism, homophobia etc.
I think Paris is seen as final OG, besides a little bit of Philly. After that three things happen... The type of people cast changed to more looks focused, the type of people applying changed, drinking culture increased in America for people in their 20s, and people on shows got more comfortable with what they did on TV regarding sex and alcohol as reality TV became more common.
Vegas wasn't a bad season. I just would rather see an earlier season than Vegas. I wouldn't be surprised if they're next though and Frank agreed to do this
I personally want one of the seasons before 10. I would pay to see a San Fran season happen, where they honor Pedro, but I doubt that would ever happen because of Puck and Rachel.
Philly was the worst Real World season. I feel like Paris was a season that was underrated. It was a great season after Vegas and before San Diego. We needed it
Philly was irrelevant as a season ultimately even if it was the first and perhaps only season with two out gay guys
I think it's considered the "forgotten" season of the franchise because it's so irrelevant. There are people who legit forget or don't even know it was ever a season
Vegas was the season that changed RW. It's always been known as that. Paris was supposed to be another hookup season, with a mostly hot cast again, but they turned out to be pretty boring in that department.
I actually never liked that season. Ever. But that's me. I know people who love Paris. I watched but found it mostly boring.
They debuted Philly while they were still shooting it. They rushed that season out.
Brooklyn was the "back to basics" season that went for a few seasons before Vegas 2 added new life to the show and saved it from being canceled.
Mohammed became such a non-entity on SF. He was around the first few episodes then you would go a few episodes without ever seeing him. I think he was always at his GFs.
Season 5 is when they started being more strict about stuff like that I believe.

80% of the season was Shavonda arguing on the phone in the smoking lounge. Karamo would still be a draw, and Landon would be known to Challenge fans.
Philly did decently in the ratings. Paris did so badly and was so boring, and Road Rules had such a good season with South Pacific that Road Rules South Pacific sometimes outrated Real World in the weekly ratings, which was very rare.

South Pacific was the last good RR season. That season did well in ratings and was just good. X-Treme ratings plummeted and the show went on hiatus after.
I remember the letdown Paris was to MTV. They followed the shows highest rated season ever and started off ok but the ratings dropped as the season went, the opposite of Vegas and Chicago, where the ratings were going up as the season played out.

This cast just feels wack to me. Maybe also a lil entitled/pretentious. I wish I could watch this bullshit season on paramount- to come up with my verdict.
They were whack the first time around. The diva demands make it seem like they're still whack. I'll watch to give it a shot since this is a season I watched in its original run. Not overly excited for it tho. I also saw that Gamer tweet that said Vegas was next.

PinkRose did they contact San Fran cast members?
I would’ve loved a San Francisco homecoming yo
Puck does not seem like he would pass all necessary qualifications.
Puck would be a nightmare to deal with for the producers.
I wouldn't be surprised if Philly is high up on the list solely to bring in an audience through Karamo.
Maybe they can just Zoom him in from his crackhead trailer park to talk with the cast for an episode

San Francisco would never happen. Puck's a huge liability for production. He's too much of a loose cannon
He would just keep trying to start fights with them.
I think Judd and Pam hate him. I think Rachel and Sean are too scared to do the shows.
San Fran aint happening and that is fine. It's not needed.

Maybe Judd, Pam, Cory, Jo, and Mohamed can have a nice dinner and it can be filmed for YouTube.

See I don't find Paris to be boring at all. No, it wasn't Vegas, but it was better than Philly and Austin. I would love to see a Paris homecoming

Oh it was much better than Philly but Austin? No way. I mean you're entitled to your opinion. I'm just blown away lol.
The Danny/Melinda story really had people captivated. The reunion was all about them. Nehemiah was over it and Danny's ego.
Austin was okay. The whole cast was weird, imo. The only one I liked was Johanna
X-Treme was a misfire in so many ways.
I liked X-Treme lol, crazy though it was the largest Road Rules cast and not one of them was black.
I noticed this even as a teen. It was weird they didn't put a single black person in that RV that season.
it was an entertaining but messy season in every way.
I noticed this too and I was literally 11
Which season had Chris, the cute white Christian boy who had naturally gray hair? He was a hottie.
I only want Vegas to see Arissa, Alton, & Irulan lol
I want Steven back on my TV. He could still get it.
south pacific
someone mentioned Xtreme being the season with the most amount of cast members because it had 3 replacements but South Pacific was the same
South Pacific had: Chris, Tina, Jeremy who replaced Abram, Cara, and Donnell
Xtreme had:Nick, Angela, Jillian who replaced Danny, Kina, and Ibis
