Oh, thats really nice to know. I saw Isaac post a picture of Ace lately so I knew they were all still connected. Isaac's tribute to her was so geniune and sweet, it broke my heart as well. All of them have been breaking my heart. Were Ace and Diem ever on a challenge together ? I am slowly going back to the old challenges to refresh my memories of who was on what.
No--the only ones they could have done together were Fresh Meat (no Ace), The Duel (no Ace) and Inferno III (no Diem)....Ace never did any after that.
They never did a challenge together but they hung out outside the show because they are friends with the same people from the show.

This from US Weekly: "Brown's indomitable warmth and fight to survive left a lasting impact on her loved ones. Many of her fellow MTV stars, including her longtime love Chris "CT" Tamburello, Evan Starkman, Kenny Santucci, Mark Long, Johanna Botta, Ace Amerson, Paula Meronek, KellyAnne Judd, Ruthie Alcaide, Aneesa Ferriera, Laurel Stuckey, Cara Maria Sorbello, and Johnny "Bananas" Devenanzio, were in attendance at Tuesday's service."
I notice her ex boyfriend was a pall bearer. He is in all the group pictures with the family also. They dated for a number of years, more than her and CT. They must have had a very special relationship as well.
I believe he's still friends with Alicia and her husband, so that somewhat makes sense too that there was still a closeness. But I did want to know who was there, though I am not too sure why it makes such a difference.
I would like to know about Derrick. Anything about or from him? He went sort of MIA I guess - would have loved to hear from him.
Happy to see so many went out to support Diem's homegoing service. Im still in denial but its toching that she was so highly favored and that she will rest eternally alongside her mother.
I recently was upset with an article that claimed that CT had revealed his final words to Diem. It was bogus and a scheming way to get people to read the article.
Im really sad though. I cant belive it. She has sinced passed over but now she is really gone.

That's awful. I tell ya, the online world really does reveal the lowest common denominator! People are sick!
I know what you mean about still being in denial. It's hard to believe and it seems as if there are unanswered questions, not that we are owed answers or anything but just saying that certain things are confusing to me.
Another article on Diem's service today in NYC. She looks beautiful on the cover of the program. Hopefully today was a healing day for her loved ones and family.

That one made me smile - Diem loveeeed Katie Couric, idolized her even! I have had enough of people making this all about how sad they are, what they want to know, asking her family, CT & cast mates incessant questions. Diem chose to share her life, her fight with the world... not her friends lives, her family or her relationship (or lack thereof...whichever the case may be) I get that we all want to know how CT is, who was there, who said what... but goodness put yourself in thier shoes. This isn't someone they are fan of from a tv show... this is a dear friend, a part of their family and they are suffering right now... I don't know if anyone here has done any of that ~ if not... ignore me & my soapbox. If you have please consider losing someone you love & having a constant barrage of well meaning strangers asking you questions all day for several days. Please give them space, let them heal.
And to all of us (me included) when you feel like crying - she wouldn't want to be the cause of all these tears, put on something upbeat and dance it out

Yasssss girl! Seeing that picture put a fire under my behind! It still hurts but what's more Diem than dancing like your life depends on it?

I agree, too many questions being asked directly to friends and family of Diem and privacy not always respected enough. Totally agree. BUT, I also think many people mean well....well some crazies online don't, but the majority of people do mean well and supporters online are just reacting out of their shock about the whole thing.....everyone reacts in their own ways to this kind of thing....sometimes on a hair trigger without thinking enough about what is posted (I have been guilty of that too)....but as long as it's not directed too much at CT, the family, Alicia or anyone else close to them (as to be bothersome to them), I think we have to kind of allow people to express things the way they need to express them without judging too much....as long as it's not disrespectful. We can't assume everyone has bad intentions. Some people ask how they can help and it doesn't mean they are going to show up on someone's doorstep, it means how can they help in a respectful way where boundaries are respected....like people giving to MedGift.com for example.
Having said that....there are some people online where it's very easy to see that we can and should assume they have bad intentions, so it's just a judgment call but not everyone. I've seen a lot of wonderful posts and a lot of warm-heartedness and the best in human nature come out of posters on this board and Twitter and a lot of other places over Diem's passing and it's been beautiful to see. I wish there was more of that on social media all the time, not just in situations like this. Now where there is beauty there is also ugly, but we can't focus on a few bad apples too much.
I think asking some of the questions rhetorically (by the way the questions could be positive, not necessarily negative) without directing them to anyone close to the friends or family and not necessarily expecting anyone to answer that question might be fine as long as it's not the same poster on here posting the same question over and over again and as long as Diem or anyone in her family are not being attacked or blamed for anything. I will say this though, if someone were reacting out of this situation and all they were doing was asking questions only and giving no general comments, that could get annoying too. I think people just need to use common sense to know where the boundaries are, while also expressing things the way they need to express them.
I also don't think every person who posts about this situation wants a specific response from someone else, it's more just they are trying to just get something out in a cathartic kind of way so they can then move on. Sometimes this is a good thing to do (if it's well thought out) and sometimes not so much but I do think that is where people could be coming from.
I think the family members, CT, Alicia and MTV cast members are hurting most of all, way more than the fans, but the fans were part of Diem's extended family too so I understand the fans having all kind of different various reactions because no one responds to grief in the same way, so I try to keep an open mind that people mean no harm and also have empathy for those fans who are feeling sad right now and the reactions are coming from that. Having said that, I can also understand being protective of CT, Alicia and the family as well, so as to make sure we don't have weirdos bothering them too much.

Evelyn was there, too.
There were many, many, many more members of the MTV family in attendace. 32 year olds are not suppossed to leave us. May Diem Rest In Peace
Yay - he is going to be ok! Like those orange glasses they don't really go with her rosary though
Aww he was wearing her rosasry? What a sweet gesture.
And yes many others guests from the MTV family were there just not named. Ashley Kelsy, Ibis Del Mar, Ryan Knight, Camila N. and Sarah Rice to name a few.

Yes thats Ct wearing the rosary and Aneesa on the right of the picture
We don't know for sure it's hers though do we ? I mean, I think we may assume since AQ spoke about her dying with her rosaries.... but just wanted to know if that was confirmed somewhere.
Yesssss I know that party was turnt! Best way to celebrate her life! They should do that for her one year anniversary, host like a big party for friends, family, and fans I would so go! #DanceForDiem

May I suggest that Diem would really love for each of us to celebrate our potential rather than look backwards to her life?
One the most telling moments into Diem's character for me was her reaction to the negative comments from those reacting to her portrayal in Exes. Even though she was not happy to read the comments--infact she was deeply hurt by them, she wanted to learn something from each one, even those that were especially hateful. She saw each of one those people as someone to win over. She refused to accept my view that some people's lives were simply so pathetic that being negative about anything or anyone on the Internet was their only outlet. I remember telling her that she was sounding a bit like Mother Theresa with her profound belief in everyone's good. Her reply: "Did she dance?"
Wholeheartedly agree, V1 man. I was always amazed by Diem but what really won me over was her responses to commenters on the People blog, especially during Rivals 2. Some people were just downright nasty and Diem always showed grace and maturity in her responses. She would always end each and every response with "Cheer, Diem". I found myself getting frustrated and trying to defend Diem but seeing her remain so cool and collected was a great lesson for me. It's so easy to get defensive and spew out whatever hurtful thing you can think of to counteract the abuse but Diem never allowed herself to stoop so low.
They never did a challenge together but they hung out outside the show because they are friends with the same people from the show.
Right--I was just answering the question
Some comments from some MTV members who attended her fneral.

Bananas comment killed me
Aww Banana's comment I loved their friendship. Even though CT/Banana's had a rivarly, Diem always remained close to both of them.
