Anyways... Georgia deleted it all together. So she ain’t sorry one bit

Nah non black people don't get to tell black people how to feel about black face lmao

Thats such a poor response though, doesnt help anything :(

Uh

Anyways... Georgia deleted it all together. So she ain’t sorry one bit

She still explained in detail on the podcast what happened and that she was sorry for it, she probably only tweeted that cause she wanted people off her back.

Uh

It just feels like they're saying 'even though it's been misinterpreted, blown out of proportion and comes from ignorance not hate, it's my right to be annoyed so there'  What good comes from that?

Because everytime we try to have a so called discussion about the subject, y'all suddenly try to act dumb as if you don't understand what it said, and you try to deflect about something else, that it has nothing to do with racism, but more to do with our sensitivity.

Thus, why bother having a discussion, especially when the controversy came from a woman ???

Ya'll? Not me, I was trying to have an open discussion, anytime this subject has been brought up I do. But the typical response is simply along the lines of I'm offended and you have no right to even broach the subject. Racism and white privilege is very prevalent everywhere, to argue that this wasnt intentionally racist isn't condoning anything else.

And what do you mean by it came from a woman?

"You" was a general statement, I didn't meant you specifically.

You know damn well what I meant. If Georgia were a man, there would have been no kind of sympathy for him. AT ALL.

First off calm down. And generalising statements seem a bit contradictory. And I personally would feel exactly the same if it were a man, given the context. Im assuming you're male? That sounds like defensive male privilege to match my white privilege I guess.

True same with men dressing as women in theatre. I'm not condoning her behaviour, but I'm not condemning it either. Its a small issue in the grand scheme of things and racism, why get your knickers in a twist over the small things. She wasnt intentionally racist just ignorant. The over reactive offense some people have is a bigger issue and cause of anger and hatred than the initial act. But everyone wants to be angry and offended. Racism is an appalling issue, this is not quite it, just something for people to jump on and spread anger.

You claim youre trying to have an open minded conversation but your first post doesnt feel like it... You started off by trying to compare crossdressing in a play to someone doint blackface lol... Someone who is open minded doesnt tell a group of people who are offended (about an issue that you clearly lack understanding of) that they are over reacting. You then went on to call it a small issue so lmao. How you gonna say blackface isnt racism. Intentionally or unintentionally its still racist.... Someones intentions does not change their actions. And that goes for anything in life

Male privilege ??? Lmao

I'm a Black male, I have no privilege WHATSOEVER. Even a dog is more humanized than me, (and I'm not trolling) while we Black men supposed to be actual human.

If you wanna have a conversation about why blackface is wrong ok we can explain it, but don’t tell black people is and isn’t offensive to them
