This might be an unpopular opinion but i feel like Bananas is a lot better at eliminations than his record suggests. Besides losing to CT and Derrick as far as i can remember all his other elimination losses were either not his fault (pairs), puzzles or chancy eliminations. He only just lost to Darrell and Derrick who are two of the best ever in eliminations.
I don't think you can brush off puzzle eliminations, especially when Bananas also isn't good at puzzles in finals. Or perhaps regular challenges. While I think that Derrick and Darrell are good at eliminations, I don't think they've had enough to be considered the best ever. Darrell won the Gauntlet, Inferno, and Inferno 2 without ever going in. Darrell beat Derrick in Fresh Meat, beat Danny (who was 0/6 in eliminations) and Cohutta in the Ruins, lost to Jill/Pete (with Cara Maria) in FM2, and then he beat Zach and Bananas in Invasion before losing to CT. That would put Darrell at 5-2 all time. Derrick didn't see an elimination in the Inferno 2, went 4-1 in the Gauntlet 2 (I forgot about this challenge so that probably threw off my numbers), lost to Darrell in Fresh Meat, beat Tyler but lost to Wes in the Duel, beat Davis in the Inferno 3, didn't go in the Ruins, beat Brandon but lost to Tyler in Cutthroat, and beat Bananas in Dirty Thirty. I believe that makes him 8-4. Bananas...oh Bananas, lost to Tyler in the Duel, lost to Tyler again in Cutthroat, didn't see one in the Inferno 3, lost to Evan in the Gauntlet 3, beat Dunbar in the Ruins, beat Adam & CT in Rivals (did Adam throw that?), beat Mark and Robin in Exes, didn't see one in Rivals II, beat Isaac, Jordan, and CT in Free Agents, lost to Leroy twice in Exes 2, lost to Cara Maria & Jamie in Bloodlines, beat Dario & Nicole in Rivals 3, lost to Darrell in Invasion and lost to Derrick in Dirty Thirty. I won't count his loss in 31 since we don't know if he had any wins. I also feel like I should count his loss against Wes in Champs vs. Pros. That puts him at 7-9 (with a 10th loss on the way). Although he does have the chance to add to his wins with Champs vs. Stars and the first half of Vendettas.

That loss to Tyler in the Duel was kinda a dodgy elimination imo, and so was his loss to Wes. Also everyone on his team was helping Evan in that sliders game (that's why i mentioned puzzles because they are can be kinda dodgy/chancy too when you have other people helping, which shouldn't be allowed imo) and he lost to Leroy once because of Nany. Other than that he has lost to all good competitors, Darrell, CT, Derrick, Leroy and with the exception of CT they have all been close. I also feel like a lot of puzzles have an element of chance and people sometimes stumble across the answer (like fitting all the puzzle pieces into a shape etc), although there are a lot of puzzles that have skill aswell like to sudoku type ones.
Zach has horrible endurance. Why are people so sure he wins?
So does Leroy and Tony so that levels the playing field. And i don't think his cardio was the issue as much as his size/muscle was, the more muscle you have to more lactic acid you create. Also Zach has slimed down a lot since Free Agents, so i can see him being better at long distance and not getting muscle cramps/spasms.
Zach completed the BOTS final comfortably, but burnt out on Free Agents because the final was run at a much faster pace and there was no Sam and Devyn slowing everyone down. He couldn't keep up with the pace of Laurel and Bananas etc and crashed. But i don't think Leroy and Tony will be running a fast race either so i don't think he will have too much trouble.
Also i'm so happy the last 3 challenges have been individual, even if they have to be paired and teamed up a certain points. Anything beats pairs, which they have absolutley ran into the ground over the last 5 years. I hope they do a team challenge next though.
