My dislike of Cara aside, I feel like she took everything during AS4 in jest.
It's her stans that keep her with that "victim" rep, and at this point, I don't think Cara even wants that.
I do think Cara took it in stride. She clearly thought Nicole coming at her was funny, because she was smiling as she went to respond. She was smiling when Laurel was screaming at her too. I think Cara is done with Laurel after what happened on this season. Her interviews since that have said as much. I don't think she will be friendly with Laurel moving forward even if Laurel was decent to her like she sometimes pretends to be. Cara will never swing because she doesn't want to risk her job, and yes she looks at the challenge as her job/life. I do think she needs therapy and to cut toxic people out of her life. Abused women tend to get into further abusive relationships, because it is what they know and are familiar with. It is a cycle, and only they can break the cycle. We saw what it took for her to break the cycle with Abram. We will see what it takes for her to break the cycle with Laurel. And using abuse as a weapon as Laurel did is abusive. Do not blame the victim. Blame the perpetrator and hope that the victim can heal.
I'm a Laurel fan, but I hope Cara is done with her. I would have cut a friend off like Laurel long-time ago. Laurel realizing that Cara is finally getting off their rollercoaster friendship is exactly what Laurel needs to understand that her behavior is not acceptable. You can't repeatedly snap at people then expect them to forgive you. Mind you, I'm still not gonna treat Cara like a child that can't defend herself and Laurel like the big bad bully.
I love my job and when coworkers talk smack about my job I get annoyed too. So I get being loyal and protective of people you respect. I wish Veronica did this season cause I know she'd throw a fit over the conditions so it'd be interesting to see Rachel go against her on it. I did hear the conditions and house were REALLY bad this season. It's from three people who respect the show and would never say it publically but it was baaaad. I think Rachel could defend the job and still ask for better conditions.
I think the conditions when Rachel was doing the show back-in-the-day was worse than what they received on 40. That's why she's saying the new school kids are being babies and high-maintenance. Idk, I don't really blame her. But I also respect Jordan for calling out the house conditions. It's just a different perspective.

Because she is calling them babies for asking for having a decent living & to be as fair as possible with everyone. Jordan is just asking for regular human treatment, like a house with an actual kitchen, cast members getting shoes that are their actual size, and for metal pieces to be assemble properly so it wouldn't break during challenges so they wouldn’t hit another cast members on the face, ending with stitches. Also, for them to be fair and not give sketchy calls for puzzles that are not correct during challenges and eliminations.
Plus, Jordan has been doing more recent challenge to know how shitty the conditions vs Rachel that just came back last spinoff. Even her best friend Tina has been complaining about the condition on and off the show.
