I've been seeing alot of that in the fandom nowadays. People seem to not care anymore and I don't blame them. With the direction this show is going it's really just getting stale and boring. It's like there's nothing new, interesting, or anything to keep you hooked anymore. It's just the same bland Cookie Cutter BS.
The show died for me from Bloodlines to FR, WOTW1 brought me back but then the skull twist killed the show. Then I have BB which only BB20 has been worth a damn lately lmao
It was definitely on life support during Bloodlines and Rivals 3. Invasion and Dirty 30 really brought new life into the show. Vendettas and Final Reckoning were solid despite some of the worst episode editing the show has ever seen (meaning the endless TBCs in FR). WOTW1 to me was one of the best seasons ever, WOTW2 was extremely solid imo too.
Total Madness and DA have really, really been tough to get through. The dailies are overproduced and all for show but I feel like there's very little actual competition happening. The overall vibe is dreary and not fun. The theme is god awful and cringey. The gameplay is dead because of the skull twist. These 2 seasons will probably go down as top 5 worst seasons ever imo.
Sounds like 37 is going to be more of the same. It's kind of strange though cause even though casuals were in love with the skull twist at first, i see a lot of people opening their eyes and turning against it. I feel like producers generally take SOME notes when things are complained about enough so not sure why they're still trying to force the skull twist
couldn't agree more, deeper! I hope they're done with this ******* skull twist, film somewhere warm where people actually have fun, and cast more messy young rookies. they can retire CT, Darrell, Aneesa, and Nany too kthx

A lot more people are turning on the skull twist so I do hope they take notes of that. It was popular at first but it died this season

It feels like Nany is done but idk. CT and Darrell wont retire since both will always be contenders to win
I will stand firm that bloodlines wasn't a bad season at all just the funky *** two team format.
I would rather rewatch bloodlines than watch Total Madness or double agents again.
1000% with you and if Abram/Mike had been on since beginning, Marie/sis didnt drop out, and Nia/her sis did it, it really could have become an elite season IMO

The problem was that any co-ed pair should have thrown every team mission when it wasn't their gender's day. If they would have stayed in pairs the whole time it would have been better. The casting wasn't great but there's been worse casts.

Bloodlines to me was probably the most poorly executed format, maybe ever? I like the show as a balance of drama and competition and just felt like there was no competition until they got rid of the two team thing. Also your Bloodline not competing and getting sent home if you lose was wack lol it was just overall hard to watch from a gameplay perspective, but it did have its moments drama-wise so there's that

I think Nany just did an interview and said she's never retiring basically (unfortunately lol)

I mean I've given up on them retiring those people and accepted we're going to have to watch CT nearing 50 still doing these lol
Agreed on all other points though. Last place into elimination, straight-forward dailies, no skull twist, maybe have a twist where you can't be sent into elim twice in a row to prevent floating, a warm climate with a pool, and younger rookies who aren't pro athletes and we'd have a fantastic season. It's really not that hard lol.
id love to see a team challenge again and with that id love to see the gauntlet type of rules again, more specifically the Gauntlet 3 elimination voting rules...i always loved how you could kind of screw the other team over by saving one of their players from elim
Why do they love boring people? Even if they are going the cheesy family friend/preteen route at least give us funny and charismatic people. The wet rags they got competiting now aint it.
it's REALLY not that hard. Invasion had some messy formatting issues, but the casting was top-notch. all these young hotheaded people - the underdogs - who were going to become the new guard. we had that on War of the Worlds 1 as well, but then so many of them stopped.
Bayleigh, Kaycee, Fessy, Jay, and Asaf are definitely the right direction. a little more personality instead of elite competition (so more Bayleigh and Gabby instead of Fessy and Kaycee), but they're on the right track.
honestly, the Double Agents cast is strong, but all the DQs/quits really hurt it. hope to see the people like Brehanna, Mark, Analyse, Morgan, Asaf, and Connor in the future. so much better than Mechie, Lio, Nam, and Lolo.

THIS. Except they need to learn the art of sitting people out to keep the missions fair.
i also miss when people genuinely hated each other, we just dont get those moments anymore and i feel like the last little bit we got with that was with Laurel on WOTW2

I'm along the same lines except WOTW1-2 was a loss for me - it got wayyy to dark and phoney. I actually love the format of Double Agents but the skull twist is what killed it for me. Invasion/Dirty 30 def brought the show some new life it needed.

Laurel was the only part of that season I liked lol. That and Ashley flip flopping from Cara Maria's alliance to Laurel to Cara Maria's with no one saying a word lol
The thing is if the cast is meh but the format is lit then its easily one of the top 20 seasons.
