if they would give us people who are exciting then I'd be a bit more open to it. I've like Melissa, Jenny, and Amazing Race Jenn were the random show people that have been decent and not super over the top this last season. Imo lol
also I would take a wallpaper old school person over any of the new people acting for camera time.
Who brought the fun: Veronica and Trishelle were the stars of their seasons they were on (Marie more so on Vendettas and FR but still Veronica was one of the few I was rooting for). Both came back and slayed in their first season back. Veronica WAS Dirty 30 and Trishelle performed well and was hilarious on Seasons. Shane brought it and made invasion (and 90% can't said a word, I was rereading his thread the other day cause I wanna bored and ya'll were singing his praises loke like no other). Brad, love him or hate him he created some drama. Darrell was great on invasion, and the stupid format made us lose him on Dirty 30 (and his tie with Nelson should have sent Nelson home on vendettas since he didn't beat him imo). Derrick didn't bring any drama, but the guy can compete well and knocked out bananas and thankfully showed how ridiculous Nelson is and got Nelson to kick himself off.
All of them have had amazing returns and added a lot to their seasons. Not to mention it gives us someone to root for lol <3
No those 2 girls weren't the stars of Battle of the seasons and dirty 30/vendettas/FR . I can name like 5 people gender from those seasons that brought more than them lmaoooo

Completely disagree about Trishelle. She was awful every second during her return. Shane, Darrell, Brad and Veronica all were useful additions although Veronica shouldn't have done 3 in a row.

Veronica brought all the fun for me. She slayed Aneesa in emanation, the Leroy moment was the best part of that season, and she made dirty 30 100%. That season would have a been a dud without her. I just rewatched it a month or two ago, and I'll stand by that opinion. I'm 100% biased cause in my opinion they made good tv <3 lol
Trishelle's commentary was just funny, she created drama, she openly admitted to just pretending to care during challenges and made second place with the only two person team.

Good news is that depending on when filming starts, like in September, Cara might not be on because Jamie's wedding is then sometime. I still think she might not do it at all if Paulie wasn't on at this point. Small hope there.

The problem with the oldschool cast is there arent many who can compete and bring drama. People ask for coral back all the time like she wouldn't be getting purged first or the first one sent home.

Ehhh...the purge on XXX was weird so anyone could have survived or left early. And I think she would have beat Nicole Ramos on Vendettas. It would be interesting to see how she would have performed on XXX or Free Agents but I'll still take her back even if it's just one episode of confessionals.

Im here for an old schooler coming back here and there especially if they look as shredded as darrell did when he returned. I would hate for someone to return after a long hiatus and then get sent home early because of lack of connections or lack of being in shape. An old schooler coming back has big pressure because if they flop no way they will get another chance to return.

I really do make an effort to understand the opinions of others on here, I really do, but there is a pattern on here of people ignoring facts and not giving credit where credit is due when it comes to OG competitors. I've exhausted all other arguments so I'll turn to the numbers where there is no way to argue against.
Trishelle on Battle of the Seasons: Trishelle WAS a star of that show, this is not bias, this is not nostalgia, that is a fact. I'm not going to list of the great moments she contributed but I will list these two things.
1. She had the 3rd most confessionals out of any player on that season (There were 32 btw)
2. She had the most confessionals out of every woman, making her the breakout female star of the season, beating out certified confessional ***** Sarah
Veronica on Dirty 30: Not THE star, but A star, safely in the top 10 most relevant competitors of that season; (Jordan, Tori, Camila, CM, Tony, CT, Kailah, Jenna, Hunter, V) I again will not go over her iconic moments of this season, but will offer this;
1. In addition to a high confessional count, Veronica recieved more confessionals than anybody else for two episodes, meaning for those two episdoes she was the STAR and her story carried the most weight. To put that achievement into perspective, Jordan & Kailah only recieved the most confessionals for one episode a piece, something favorites like Banana, CT, Jenna, and Tony can't even claim. Veronica was more relevant on that seasons then Bananas and CT, that again is not bias, that is a cold hard fact. Also just to add, Darrell was the confessional king for the one episode he was in the main house.
2. From a competition standpoint, statistically Veronica was the 4th strongest female competitor of the season, only performing worse than the 3 ladies that made the final
I know I'm a broken record, but to be dismissive and deliberatly obtuse about what these "dinosaurs" have brought to the show is maddening. I get that I am clearly biased, but I also know that the majority of these people that talk out against OGs have not watched their original shows and have not been given the opportunity to become attached. Without that crucial context, arguments against them getting cast are largely unsupported. I also understand those that don't want people of a certain age on the show, thats fine, but then I expect those same people to call for CT & Bananas to retire b/c they are part of the same age bracket. You then can't make the argument "well, CT & Bananas are more relevant", if you hold FR and Vendettas against Veronica, I expect people to hold XXX and War of the Worlds against Bananas and CT.
