Beth was amazing. I remember back when Gauntlet 2 was airing I was on the edge of my seat the episode she went up against Montana in the Gauntlet. I also agree that that season was her best. See the Veterans looks on their faces when they she beat Ruthie is one of my favorite challenge moments ever. She really was one of the best shit starterst this show has ever seen. Noone comes close to her.
So far he's only appeared on one challenge and that's Rivals 2. He had a good showing there IMO. He competed well alongside Jordan, got into some Drama with Knight and Hooked up with a guy(why did they not show this?) AND a girl. I really wish they would've gotten to that final challenge because I think they would've had a good shot to win.
But yeah..Marlon overall was cool for the most part and I wouldn't mind seeing him back.
I think the consensus on Wes is that you either love him or hate him. ****, you may even be tired of seeing him lately. But personally, I always liked Wes even on seasons where he was given bad edits (Fresh Meat 1 and Fresh Meat 2). The thing I like most about Wes is that he's the only player these days that consistently stands up to Backpack and isn't a sheep. Rivals was the only season where he was in the same alliance but that's because his partner was Kenny. He also doesn't talk down to his partners like a lot of the current competitors do (Zach, Reilly for example). Casey was the only exception because come on she was so useless.
Wes is also pretty hilarious and sarcastic at times. It was funny seeing Simone trying to get with him on Rivals 3 and he straight up says "I never say I had feelings for you." Then Simone melts down and walks away. And let's not forget when he got into it with Backpack on the Ruins and gets in his face causing Backpack to spill water. And he tops it off with "I CAN'T WAIT TO BEAT THE SHIT OUT OF YOU!!"
The Duel is still Wes's best showing as well. The Duel between him and Derrick is still one of the most intense eliminations ever. Plus him calling out CT after he lost in the Duel was classic. And he ended up winning the whole thing. He was mostly chill that season even though he still had an alliance and that alliance lasted all the way until the end of the season. He went on a mini retirement after the challenges and he only came back after Kenny and Johanna hooked up on the Island.
I thought the Kenny/Wes rivalry was so overrated but Wes was the most entertaining part of the Ruins until he was eliminated. It was great seeing up get in JEK's faces while the rest of the team was acting like pathetic sheep. Wes really didn't get to shine again until Rivals 2 and when he was partnered with CT. And I was fine that they won the whole thing and feel like they developed a good friendship after the show.
That's not to say I didn't get tired of Wes sometimes, but that's only because of the fake rivalries he had with everyone including Backpack, but I hate Backpack so I enjoy anytime someone let's him hear it. Oh, and considering how annoying Cara Maria turned out to be, I don't hate Wes for picking on her during Rivals. Laurel looked much worse when she attacked Paula too.
Wes and Theresa should have won Battle of the Exes 2 by the way and I loved he and Nany as a team in Rivals 3. Wes was kind of a flop on this challenge but I'll give him a pass because he doesn't seem to care much about winning on these shows as Backpack who's life depends on it. And come on, who didn't love the way he called out "people pleaser" Sarah and exposed her for the coward she really is?
Wes is someone who I don't mind seeing retiring at this point, but also won't mind if he keeps coming back. He's refreshing because he doesn't need to act like an ******* to everyone to be noticed on camera.
Oh and **** Johanna. I despise her forever for the way she treated Wes on the Ruins.
I've hated Wes for the longest time because I thought he was an *******. I started to come around to him towards Exes 2. I now like him honestly. Because like you said he stands up to Backpack and on top of that we actually get a ******* BREAK from him. He doesn't do every single challenge so we get a chance to miss him and anticipate him coming back. He's also one of the few people to actually think in a strategic way when it comes to this game.
Another polarizing figure. People either love him or hate him. I guess I was always in the middle but I never hated him. I think watching his Real World season puts in better context why he's so ultra competitive and an ******* sometimes so I never really had a problem with him. But I actually loved his presence on the Challenges. As foolish of a move it turned out being, I liked that he wasn't up Backpack's *** and wasn't afraid to face him on Free Agents. Plus he and Marlon were beasts as a rookie pair in Rivals 2 and I really wanted to see them win. He's one of the newer competitors that I think could hold up against the male competitors in the golden era of challenges.
I would like Jordan to come back but I respect that he doesn't make these things his life like others do.

Wes has always been one of my favorite characters and your analysis was pretty spot on however I don't agree with what you said about that CM/Laurel vs Wes/Paula bit. Paula deserved every bit of that, it gets to a point where you just need to give someone a good roast to remind them that they ain't shit.
Oh, and Johanna was trash during the Ruins. She always acted like she was a solid competitor on these shows when she only lasted as long as she did because she aligns herself with the main alliance. Also, threatening to sell Wes' house was ******* childish.
Oh I think Paula was asking for it too and it showed how much of a sheep she was trying to bully someone who wasn't in her alliance and she never liked Wes before Rivals or at least wasn't on his side on Fresh Meat 2.
i just think what Wes did to Cara was more harmless than what Laurel did to Paula.
Another classic Wes moment was on Fresh Meat 2 and after Cara Maria had one of many meltdowns for being sent into Exile and Wes when referring to Darrell: "PAYBACK'S A *****... *****."
and his "f you, f you, f you, you're cool, f you" from this challenge. Lol. I still wonder who was the one person he was referring to.
I really like Wes calling out Sarah Twoface this season.
Yeah. He just calmly dragged her and I was here for it.
Devin called her out as well. One of the main reasons why I loved Ryan from Brooklyn was because he saw through Sarah's bullshit as well and called her out on it too. That was when we had the classic JD smashing the table moment.

Yeah..They both read her for filth way before Wes did. Can you imagine if they put Ryan with Sarah on this challenge? That would've been everything.
May have to rewatch Brooklyn to see this. Kinda in the middle of watching Las Vegas 2002 lol.
How do you like it?
I can see how some people love this season and how some that love the oldest seasons, hate this season. I am personally enjoying it myself. Trashelle gonna Trashelle.
Okay so I already talked about Landon in here but I didn't think the entry I made before really showed why Landon is one of the best people to ever be on the challenge.
I dont think he's all that interesting as a character but he's super likeable. He stays humble even though he could brag about his success. He stays calm and is an elite competitor.
He started out on the Inferno 2 which was probably the most interesting he's been on all of his appearances. He came in as a rookie but arguably could have been the best competitor there and that was with the Miz, Darrell, Brad, CT, Abe, and Derrick being on the same challenge as him. He got into it with Derrick even though it was playful but Derrick had a bleeding ear out of it and Derrick got his revenge by giving Landon the funniest looking haircut and it was a classic moment.
He came back on the Gauntlet 2 and mostly was in the background but **** he still won back to back challenges and didn't have to prove himself in that challenge.
He would take a break for a while and then he came back on the Duel 2. I'm still ****** he was screwed over by the other guys and honestly he should have beaten Brad. He dominated that entire challenge too. Had a kinda sorta thing with Brittini and he also had a dream about Ryan lol.
Fresh Meat 2 cemented his legacy for me because he took the worst statistically girl and not only was he 100% supportive of her, he carried her up a mountain and won the whole challenge. And considering how guys like Zach, Reilly, and Frank would verbally abuse their teammates, Landon was refreshing because he stayed patient and it actually paid off for him.
I wish Landon did more challenges because he's always guaranteed to show up competition wise. But that's the other reason why I respect Landon. He has little challenge appearances but is recognized as one of the best ever. Go Landon!!
Why would I be? Lol. I know we're the two most active people in this thread and agree on almost everything but I like being able to bring up past competitors and reminisce in this thread.

Not sure why but I hate that photo of Landon lol
But yes, Landon is one of the GOATs. Fresh Meat 2 finale was so refreshing and I loved seeing Kenny get second on that challenge yet again because he is such an annoying POS. Also seeing Jill again and her placing was also refreshing because she is such a sweet heart.
johanna was solid as a competitor. not great by any means but OK...even frank admitted so on gauntlet 3 in spite of his personal feelings towards her
Yes but I feel like who else was really on that team though that was worth a ****? I'll give Janelle a slight edge cause she won the Inferno 3 but the rest? Especially Brooke? Johanna will of course look decent compared to them lol
Top two girls were Jill and Tori (sadly).. I guess Johanna gets third by default.
Beth was great to watch.

Marlon, your rap career is going no where. Please return to the challenge.
Hey Debut Album are you still planning to be in the Vevmo Games?
So far...yes.
MARLON! I've been wanting to see him back so badly.

I think Jordan is one castmember that could rival the golden era challengers honestly. Competitive wise and Character wise as well.
If Debut becomes Leroy2.0 on VG4 after tearing apart Leroy...
