The Challenge: All Stars 4- Episode Discussion Thread

I feel like the editing is off this season, so I did some digging. Episode 1 of season one of all stars had 5 editors. 4 of them went all the way back to prime real world days.

this most recent episode had 3 main editors- one whose first season working with challenge production was in 2022. The second one edited 2 champs vs stars eps, and season 2 of all stars. The third whose earliest editing is season 34 and that real world atl that flopped. There are 5 additional editing credits, and two of those have been editing random challenge episodes on and off since 2008.

basically what I am saying is that it doesnt seem like its just the OG casts being done away with.

But Nicole and Cara do not **** with each other since post-Vendettas, by their own admittance.

I swear we saw them sort of talking/joking an episode or two ago. Not that I thought they were working together, just mean they seemingly can get along and do have some friends in common.

This is the first episode where we found out they get to pick their own partners, but it seems teams are still randomly selected?

There was another pair or team daily where they chose partners because I remember Kam and Leroy intentionally being on separate teams.

Kam is just a much less entertaining version of Coral. Both are average competitors who people drastically overrate. Both think other people should do their bidding and whine when people don't. At least Coral was funny and could back up her mouth better than so called "killa" Kam.

This the one. Long live Queen Coral!!

Why did Kam wanna go against Tina? I'm over that b****

Because she doesn't play scared lmao

So I LOVE Kefla and Flora, but it was basically a miracle and the format that allowed/allows them to make it 6 episodes. Neither are embarrassing competitors, but they are so far past their primes.

If they were to come back in a standard double-elimination format where someone like Kam isn't taking early shots at contenders, it would be a miracle for either of them to survive three episodes (whether through injury or elimination).

Because she's aligned with Jasmine and Veronica has a star. She wanted an easy win AND to steal Cara's star.

it looks like in the middle of deliberation flora and cara were in an argument but they randomly just cut it out

They are leaving too much of Flora in the editing room!

Flora and Ace winning the idgaf war lmao.

I love when things get longer on average!

Anyway these episodes all need to be at least 48 minutes, but more so 50+ minutes would be nice. There is too much fun stuff not being shown.

Still not sure why Steve didn't just give the star to Adam, surely nobody would've been upset by that.

Lol Brad keeps messing up every challenge.

The challenge was kind of dumb.  So you just exhaust a bunch of people for several rounds, only for them to have just a 30 second advantage?  Like Laurel and Brad ironically had a huge advantage.I either felt like it needed to be the last couple standing in the musical chairs that gets top spot.

Veronica's move was amazing.  Totally shouldn't be legal, but that was amazing, that was even better than the Leroy vote.

The second stage was definitely lame. I loved the first part, but yes either the winner should have been determined there, or you just purge the first few pairs out and then the rest advance to the final part.

That Laurel/Brad scene cracked me up oh Laurel the mother you are

I also feel like this is justice because production should have totally allowed Jamie Murray to give his lifeshiled to Veronica on Battle of the Sexes, she wasn't allowed to keep it only because Jamie told Johnny Mosley off-camera before hand that he was giving it to Blair

Justice for Veronica.   She would have absolutely been in the final 3.....but then she probably would not have been the icon she was on the next few

Veronica Jasmine and Flora all dragging KKKara this episode had me wet maybe I understand the Flora hype a little bit now

Dragging with no ground to stand on lmao. Jasmine went out, and Veronica and Flora ain't winning anything.

I love Flora, though, and want to see more of her!

Can someone explain to me why Nicole switched to going against Jasmine? Ok Veronica told her she's not working with Cara, but Jasmine definitely wasn't working with Cara so what was the switch really about?

Derek should have made a plan with Jasmine that he would go to a section that was just a little bit away from the correct seats.   Everyone was following him and would have sat in the wrong row initially.

When Jasmine got close he could quickly move and have her get a seat

Ok you're smart and have "ho" in your name. Should we align?

Kam's mind really can't keep up with Cara! Cara still has her star, got revenge on Jasmine, and kept Kam from getting a star. Like, Cara is playing this game masterfully despite 2/3 of the house being against her. Kam is reeling!

Well let's hope she wins after all this work otherwise she did all this for nothing giggles

You mean like Jasmine ran her mouth for no reason and Kam took a shot at Cara for no reason howling

Because Jasmine was the easier out. It's really that simple.

Eh, let's not go that far lol. Yes it's working out for Cara now, but she's absolutely having to jump through way more hoops because of Kam's move to target her. If those two weren't beefing, both Cara and Kam could have stars rn -- their path together would have been easier than without.

Nobody wins when the family feuds.

Kam is the reason they are beefing, though, so that goes back to Kam not necessarily making a smart move (as you said, she'd likely have a star now otherwise). She forced Cara to adapt, but Cara has done that well.

It reminds me of the very first challenge Cara and Kam did together. Kam threw that grenade at Cara, and then Cara still won the challenge because it was a team thing while Kam DQd individally. Kam always misfires.

MeanwhiIe I just don't understand how people are letting Laurel fly under the radar so much.

To Kam, Cara is the reason they're in conflict, though. Was she right to get upset about Cara not voting her way when the vote didn't matter? No, I think Kam was being emotional, but in her mind, her friend didn't have her back. It was very tunnel vision obvs but that's how she always operates in these games.

It's generally a good move to pit two of the strongest against each other, it's really the timing that was bad. I just don't agree with Kam's mind keeping up with Cara -- Kam knows what's happening, she was just also outmaneuvered in this case.

Not voting for Laurel to go into an elim means she has to win a daily for the chance at a star instead, so that's a viable strategy imo. It's what they tried to do to CT on DA and it almost worked -- might have if Nany had picked CT that last moment instead of Kyle.
