Timing most likely. Kendal went home after being nominated (but not necessarily voted in) so the very next thing was the elimination. Casey might have gone home before an actual competition and that makes it a bit more complicated.
So we know Leah and Derek get nominated but what's everyone's guess on the other two? I think for the girls it might be Casey. I can see them using the excuse that she didn't make the basket to nominate her. This also could be the reason Casey sets up the Derrick elimination later as payback. For the guys, I'd say Ryan but I hope they don't nominate 2 gays. Lol
So do we think the lifeshield gets used at all this season? I don't remember Pink and Gamer ever mentioning it during spoiler season which make me think it wasn't used. Although I think there will be a scenario where someone thinks about using it but doesn't thinking that person will be safe at the vote but they get voted in. That may be why we hear Ayanna yelling "You should have saved him!" In one of the trailers.
I feel like Tina wins and nominated Jodi which is why we see Jodi saying in the preview that she is going after her. I'm hoping Ryan got last place because if he gets voted in then it'll really won't be a good look with both gay guys being voted in the first 2 rounds.

I don't know if they care about viewers day 1 or week 1. It's not like CBS ABC or even MTV where they still care at least a little bit about live viewership. And truthfully we have no idea if the show is doing well or not with viewers

Right and aren't they doing that big team puzzle one? Maybe they elect female/male team captains and Jodi and Cohutta agree to do the losing side.
