Precedent indicates filming either starts in mid-October or not until January.
im betting on next year... I already felt it would be odd if 41 filmed before 40's reunion.
It always seemed unlikely for a reunion to film and then for 41 to go out right after in the tight window between that and Christmas. Y'all know I am personally still holding out hope for USA3 lol.
Someone online compiled the one and doners from 31 to 38. I feel like Middlebrooks, Kelz, and Priscilla are the Top 3 picks here. But I wouldn't hate Sam, Esther, Ashley Cain, or Liv getting another shot some time soon.
lol they completely skipped eddie from vendettas. which is not a bad thing but still hilarious
Adjusting my teams a little bit for Champs vs Contenders vs Rookies.
Expecting Ashley Mitchell to get a spot over Emily now (after that dull showing and her likelihood of retirement). Expecting (unfortunately) Paulie to be on over Cory who is getting knee surgery. And pushing for Johnny Middlebrooks and Ravyn to lead the 2 seasons and under Rookie class. Dropping Grant from AUS becuase his wife is pregnant.
Only 20 returnees from Season 40 for the 36 spots of 41.
Why I think a Champs vs Contenders vs Rookies Cutthroat format is obviously the best choice:
It gets the Cutthroat format back onto the flagship. This format as a starting point allows you to seamlessly incorporate the absolute best team game start, which keeps the early rounds dynamic and fresh. This format naturally builds momentum early on.
Also, this format allows you to cast old, middle, and new people into a theme that works without being too heavy-handed or forcing a sloppy pairs or a plodding individual format. You need some oldheads on the show to keep the loyal fanbases coming back. Plus you should take for granted how many potential seasons are left. It's hard IMO to see the flagship making it past 45.
Also, this allows you to bring in fresh faces to help bolster an aging cast. Bringing in 8-10 young, social, good-looking rookies will help get the show through the early 40's. Make no mistake, if the show gets less than 4 rookies-to-franchise staple characters from each season moving forward, they are in HUGE trouble.
I'm so excited for this. I always have a bunch of my favs on the cast no matter how bad the overall cast is, so I'm excited to see who of my favs will make the cut for me to root for.
They are definitely soft launching Kenny returning with the way the different casts keep doing stories with him working out, and now TJ, Johnny, and Emily did a postcast and mentioned Kenny coming back. I feel like they're trying to get a pulse on the audience reaction before doing anything official.

kenny is never returning. If they didn't cast him for allstars by now which is where they gave a bunch of problematic past contestants their redemption they never will.

If Kenny is innocent in the Tonya situation please bring him back. Zach too. Hopefully All-Stars 5 is the gateway to bringing toxic men back. So over this dullness.

The rookies team overall is ugly. Cast again.
What? These are some very good looking people with some of the best personalities as prospects.
Honestly entrepeneur, who do you find ugly? These promotional shots aren't great. They are almost all BEAUTIFUL people.

all guys except Johnny & Kaleb...then I'd say the 3 girls on the bottom, excluding the second one on the last row.
It's just not great pictures lol. They are all very good looking people. And more importantly, they are very loud and expressive personalities.
ok den dats fine.
Okay, Rachel, Amber, or Jenny can have Ashley's spot because Ashley looks like this now:

don't be weird
Yeah...still good with Rachel or Jenny getting that spot.
queen Barta has proven she should be a lock for more flagships
Yeah, I really can't argue against it. She's earned her spot and looks great doing it.

Oh yeah and Tucker from BB26 better be on this
he won't bc of that cbs contract but maybe 42 is possible
Big Brother 26 would be eligible for a USA3 though, right?
I think you need to give that USA3 dream up lol.
sure would...
I'd love an old school style challenge of BB vs Survivor tbh.
Big Brothers vs Survivors vs Challengers is technically doable but the risk there is you need a legit great/good 12-15 rookies.
If nothing films between now and January, it's a clear sign that the franchise is retracting. Only 2 seasons filmed this year.
For reference, there was 4 seasons filmed in '21, 3 in '22, and 3 in '23.
