Yall think this show will still be around in 10 years?

i think they'll at least make it to 50. maybe battle of the eras 2 with five teams of 8 people.

No interest in fresh meat, view them about the same as the random internationals, don't want them. Plenty of local talent around for them to use

I wanna see fresh meat recruited from ig, tt, of, yt and x.

At its current rate, I think the flagship's got until around 2028. They'll prob make it to 45. I think some version of the show survives the inevitable death of MTV.

I could see some version of the show still existing in 10 years, but not the flagship on MTV. Probably on some kind of streaming service. Only chance the show is gone completely is if Paramount falls apart completely during its sale

2nd/3rd week of October sticking out as likely start of filming for whatever's next. 4 seasons in the past 6 years (since WOTW1) started then.

Filming start dates of the past few seasons:

AS 5 - May 25th 2024

40 - March 9th 2024

39 - June 1st 2023

USA 2 - April 7th 2023

AS 4 - Jan 13th 2023

WC - Oct 17th 2022

38 - May 22nd 2022

USA1 - Mar 10th 2022

AS 3 - Oct 17th 2021

AS 2 - July 22nd 2021

37 - April 11th 2021

AS 1 - Jan 22nd 2021

36 - Aug 23rd 2020

35 - Oct 21st 2019

34 - May 20th 2019

33 - Oct 15th 2018

I would deliver for 3 episodes and then quit when I get voted into elimination episode 3. Call me @Skye!

filming is around 8 weeks now, so as long as they depart by October 26th, they can finish by December 21st. they'll want the cast home by christmas, so i don't see filming going any later than that.

If you look at the 3 "fresh meat" brought on Ride or Dies I would say Moriah, Ravyn, and Chauncey were flops on their first seasons. Ravyn has shown potential and Moriah is...alright.

i need to see Moriah on a third season

shes definitely looking like she needs a man to attach herself to and that's... not cute lol

and opinions like these are why this show needs to die

Another issue is dropping rookies and internationals after one season and calling them flops. Only in rare cases is someone going to become a fan favorite on their first season. At least give the audience a chance to connect with new cast members.

The flop part is they only convinced casting to give them one shot.

Skkkye has to stop casting based on overseas agents submitting YouTube clips and actually watch some American shows and make informed decisions.

Yes, that's the thing. They need to see the show their talent cames from.

Skkkye is a moron. Stop relying on agents from other countries to reach out. Pay some of the unpaid interns, like Pinkrose, to watch the popular reality shows in America (Love Island, Survivor, Big Brother, Amazing Race, Bachelor, Squid Games, etc.). Have them take screen recordings and edit videos of who they recommend, watch them, then makes decisions and calls. It's not that hard to get it right.

An I stil get the "agents from other countries" thing. But from the US? That's lazy. You do a Ride or Dies season and half the teams arent even friends. Horacio and Olivia being together due to a Talent Agent suggesting them is stupid.

There shouldn't be agents from other countries because they shouldn't be casting from other countries. They need to be casting from shows that their audiences watch.

100%. i understood their thought process when they were going to try airing the show in other counties, but it has NEVER been successful and they always stop airing after a few eps. so now there is no reason to cast internationals that nobody knows

Like I said, only in rare cases is someone going to shine on their first season. Even if peope showed some potential bring them back. Nurys was forgettable her first season. She became a fan favorite her second season. Granted, she benefited from being on a cast of almost all lames.

They don't have to shine.  They just have to do enough for their number not to be thrown away.  Like Nurys

Lol.

Nah I like that they cast from other countries. It's the people they pick who are the problem. You're telling me of the entire tv world you can only find people like Colleen?

The internationals were never going to work. Only UK and Australia even had a chance, with English being their dominant first language. How many internationals have we heard say in post-game that when people start whispering, they have no idea what is being said. Tracy from 37 barely even spoke English!

Now, you can throw 2 or 3 internationals on a a season if you truly think they have potential and you're trying to keep the budget low. But that's it. You can't put 4 UKers, 2 Germans, 2 Romanians, 1 Swede, 1 Spainaird, 1 Hungarian, 1 Belgian, etc. They have no idea what's going on in the game and language-wise. If there's a promising rookie in a cast like that like Kelz was on 37, they're immediately targeted.

Your best bet will always be to pick somewhat-proven American reality TV personalities. UKers and Aussies also proved for the most part that they belong.

Terrible take.

Hey, Colleen is one of the few good international picks, lol!

I loved Colleen, but she wasn't a good fit for the show. She's always gonna be on the outs on this show. She lives in Germany. She isn't building real and strong connections with these people. She isn't ever attending the Miami hangouts or Challenge Mania events. If they wanna do a battle of the worlds spinoff, cool. Other than that internationals shouldn't be cast.

A lot of US challengers don't do Challenge Mania events. The line up that I see is always a rotation of the same 15 people. Jay S never does events, neither do any of the UK people. Part of the reason the drama on the Challenge is fake and forced is because these people are real life friends outside of the show. So good that Colleen isn't hanging out with the cast in real life.

I still think if 41 is next, the absolute ideal format is a 12 Champs vs 12 Contenders (2+ Season Vets that have never won) vs 12 Rookies (1 Season Completed or Less that have never won) 3 team Cutthroat format with double elims to start and a Hopper with secret votes ala USA2.

You still get to include 24 Vets and you get 12 Rookies that can't necessarily be picked off immediately in Rookie vs Rookie elims. 36 players with double elims, you're down to 24 players by the end of Episode 6.

The Challenge was successful and is still on today because people enjoyed watching people they were connected to compete against eachother and see how they navigated the game and real world (pun intended) relationships. The show has been missing that since the internationals came in. It's been one friend group vs a bunch of people who had no idea what was happening or what to do besides follow.
