I'm cautiously optimistic about all further challenges. I think if MTV/BMP play their cards right, there is potential to be some good casts. Most of the DC/Cancun people seem interested in challenges and while I don't love all of them, I do like seeing fresh faces and such. I just think that there's potential with these kids. Perhaps a new era, even.

Yeah, but I have ~concerns~ about Erika becoming the next Diem. Whaa-whaa-whaa I [had] cancer, how dare you try to eliminate me, you have no soul; If CT *sees* me, he'll stop...whaa-whaa-whaa...God help us...

Well needless to say when I said I didn't love everyone, Erika was certainly included in that category. She's just the worst.
I think people from Brooklyn, DC, Viewers Revenge, and possibly Cancun would get along better with the old school people. I'm saying from Philly, X-treme and up. Altho I would think that OLD-old school would be seasons 10 of both real world and road rules on up. The only people I could see conforming to the likes of Austin, Key West, and Fresh Meat 1 are Emilee, Jonna, Jazmine, and Bronne. I think Ayiiia would definitely be drawn to the Rachel/Katie/Aneesa/Veronica/Coral crowd.
Would they have left for the next challenge yet? I thought previously people were saying they'd be leaving by the end of this week, but so far, no news. If they have, I think that would exclude all of DC and most of Cancun since they all post on Twitter about every 4 seconds. Maybe another couple of weeks?

They haven't left yet.
I'm surprised that at the reunion, none of them had made any hints about being approached for the upcoming challenge. Aren't the cast members usually given a heads up like 3 months in advance? Scott seems to be positive he'll be on it and what was that about Emilee (cancun) saying that her and Derrick (x-treme) and Adam (paris) were all confirmed on the list? Was she definitely talking about the challenge?
BWAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHAAH :laugh2: :laugh2: :laugh2:
If I'm given 3 days notice I consider myself lucky.
Then how did Scott know he'd be on the 20th season? He started mentioning it like 3 months ago. Or did he not really know and it was just wishful thinking that he'd be cast?

Why that late of a notice now?
On the Battle Of The Sexes 2 reunion, LaLa asked the cast there who is going to the next challenge. And half of them raised their hand and were saying "yeah i'm going!".

That's the difference, lol...That's when the challenges were still good.

Probably because the reunion was filmed in either December 2004 or January 2005. January 2005 was when Inferno 2 was taped then aired the following March.

Challenges filmed a lot closer together back then. And I could be wrong, but it's entirely possible that Inferno 2 had already filmed and they all just acted like they were going when in reality they had already gone.

very much needed!

You're wrong.
:-)
Maybe it was more of a "I'm going IF I'm asked" response. I mean, the people they have at the reunions are generally the people that are guaranteed to be asked back so they could have all just assumed they would be asked.
Well doesn't the inferno come before the gautlet? I hope the next challenge has as much people as the ruins or gautlet becuz there are a lot people from the RW who want to do challenges. I think a new series will start to tell u the truth.
I agree that the next challenge should be the Gauntlet 4, even though I was not a big fan of the Gauntlet 2 or 3, MTV always seems to score ratings with the Gauntlets.
However, I would like to see a challenge with a smaller cast (like 20 people) because I feel like the get to know the cast a lot better when there are less people. I would love to see a new format that has more of a social aspect to it, but that would be a risk and I'd prefer that they didn't try a new format that could be unsuccessful.
Whatever format they do, there's a couple of things that are a MUST for this challenge...
1. Don't have too many people from the same season. If the cast is bigger, they have a lot of potential to cast a lot of people from Cancun/DC/FM2, but it would be nice to have variety.
2. If there are teams, make sure they are equal. On the Ruins, the challengers only won 1 mission and that's no surprise. When you put a bunch of losers against a bunch of winners, of course the winners will continue to win.
3. Have a variety of challenges. On The Duel 2 Mark/Landon/Rachel won practically ever challenge. I like when some of the challenges are silly and different people have the opportunity to win.
4. Don't spoil the show in the previews/commercials.
If they do this, I'm sure the season will draw a lot of viewers.
I really don't want another Gauntlet and/or Inferno 3 of each is enough. I think they need to keep doing new formats.
Well its not really up to us, its up to BMP/MTV.
Just because it's the 20th season, I kinda feel like it should be a new format. I don't mind Gauntlet or Inferno 4, but I don't feel like the 20th season should be anything 4.
Actually, kinda like Survivor I would have loved to see a reunion season for 20, ALL old school people, back for one last shot. But I doubt that would do very well ratings wise, and I don't know how many would actually want to do that.
So anyway my vote is for a new format. (or at least a new name, I mean a lot of the formats are actually quite similar with different names) But obviously, not up to us and BMP will do whatever they're going to do.
It's only a matter of time before BMP runs out of idea for new formats...I mean, what are we going to do? Blondes vs Brunettes? Tall vs Short? lol.
I want either a Battle Of The Sexes 3 or Inferno IV(Duel III wouldn't be a bad idea either.)
I'd like a three-way show: three teams of, say, ten--red, yellow and blue. I considered trying this on an online reality gaming site. The three teams have a mission, and the winner gets a cash incentive while the losers have to vote one from the opposite team for them to face each other in an elimination.
If the challenges go on for much longer, eventually they'll have enough to do Fresh Meat vs Real World as a format. They could almost do it now, but it would have to be a small cast.
They could do "Captains choice" teams... so everyone gets there and votes for captains, top 2 vote getters are captains and then they choose teams. Or maybe 2 captains, male and female so pair the top voted male with the 2nd voted female and vice versa.
Another idea would be to have a competition at the beginning of the challenge, like the do on Fresh Meat. Then match everyone to the person that did most comparable to them, and split them up. That way they should essentially have 2 even teams. And because it's slightly subjective, production can still manipulate the teams to try to heighten the drama.

It may be hard for them to get Road Rules people.
You wouldn't have to split them up by RW-RR-FM.
I'm sure there's another 3 way split they could figure out.
Then again, I thought the 3 tribes thing was TERRIBLE on Survivor so I can't see loving it on the Challenge.
