Has anyone watched the Australian seasons? I'm starting them, starting with Sarah Tilleke's season obviously. Is the one before it any good or should I skip it? Are all worth watching or any I should skip?
all stars and blood vs water are the two seasons i'd say can be skipped. the rest were either good or great.
what's funny is after Kristie's season the only one I watched was half of Allstars and Blood vs Water lol. The other themes sound dumb and under editing of so many people is horrendous. Though their tribals are waaay more suspenseful than USA
I do agree that the fact that the editing is sucks and I hate how they ignore people for several. Even late in the game. I need to google a confessional count chart for these shows, it's gotta be wild how unbalanced it is.

100% All-Stars confessional count is terrible. Basically like Samoa
I'd say they were still finding their footing, especially casting wise. Too many people weren't willing to lie or betray allies to advance their game, which i remember being pretty frustrating and boring as a viewer

Yes and no. This season had more episodes than any other season and the 90 minute epsiodes didn't start till 45 so her confessionals really can't be compared before that. Surprised Dee or Kenzi didn't have more though, they had more dynamic personalities.

Shonee is character gold. I love Simon dispite his messy gameplay. Nina is a Queen. So many good players from that show is makes US Survivor look like some youtube survivor game.

but I also considered classic survivor 1-15, fans vs favorites era 16-26, theme era 27-39, and new era 41-49.... maybe 4 tribes of 6 again?

Casting and gameplay is so much better! Love watching Survivor with attractive people again and not just tons of nerds and without Probst's corny kumbaya. The editing is soooo bad though.
I'm excited for Shonee, I've heard so much about her but haven't seen a second of her play. Watching the 2016 season and then I'll do her first one next.

That is actually a really good split! I hope they do a cast of 24. Play like the original season with 39 days. Have a couple double eliminations PRE-MERGE and then a couple extra episodes.
So could probably be replaced but I felt there needed to be some kind of Asian female representation and she was the only spot I could think to fill. Replace her with Nadia maybe. Or if 48/49 have someone good then replace Drea with them. I did it based on Probst calling it 2nd chances, so I did no returnees or winners.

Jeff needs to go all out and copy Australian Survivor format of 24 people and 50 days since it's the 50th season.
But knowing Jeff he'll ruin it somehow and make it worse then the new era.

Probst is 63 years old and a raging narcissist. He'll either go until he's dead or attempt to kill it when we wants to retire, in 5-7 years from now.

The show is over once he retires. He's in good shape for 60's but probably in 10 years so about season 70 which is a good number to end on.
