So, a debate was started in the RI finale thread about the worst seasons. What are everyone's 3 favorite and 3 least favorite seasons of Survivor? FAVORITES (going from the earliest, not necessarily the order in which I like them) Pearl Islands- A lot of people weren't happy with the Outcast twist, but I don't think it affected the season too much. I felt like this season was unpredictable every episode and it's one of the few seasons that I could watch over and over again. China- After seeing Cook Islands and Fiji (which were not very good seasons), it was nice to have a normal 16 castaways season again. Not only that, but we were blessed with awesome characters like Todd, Jean Robert, Courtney, and (at the time) James. I liked Amanda too, but she didn't get a lot of airtime until the middle of the season whereas the other characters I listed were amazing from the start. Fans VS Favorites- Absolutely LOVE this season. Total girl ownage and just an overall fun season. LEAST FAVORITES (again, from the earliest season) All-Stars- This is one season that I most likely will never rewatch. I absolutely DESPISED this season while it was originally airing. Predictable and overall, boring. Cook Islands- The only entertaining people were Penner and Cao Boi (and he went off early). Horrible cast and just... ugh. Redemption Island- Too predictable even with the RI twist. The only redeeming factor was Russell going out early.
Redemption Island- Too predictable even with the RI twist. The only redeeming factor was Russell going out early.
I'd argue that it was "predictable" because Russell went home early... Some of the most amazing tribal councils in recent memory were ones in whcih Russell was involved (e.g. Russell giving the hidden immunity idol to Parvati and blindsiding Tyson was pure reality television magic.)
I'd have to say my 3 favorites are: Australia: This season had a really great cast. It gave us the first female villian ever, Jerri. They were really roughing it out there. Plus who could forget jerky-gate '01?! China: This season had my favorite overall cast! It had so many great characters! Courtney's comments really made the season for me! Plus, Todd dominating the game was really amazing! It's a shame they haven't had him back yet! Amazon: I think this season had so many memorable moments! The camp burning down, Rob dominating the strategic game and being sent out third, and of course the peanut butter and chocolate ;) My 3 least favorites: Redemption Island: It was sooooo predictable all the way through. Redemption Island was almost as much as a fail as the BB Sabeteur. Samoa: We didn't get to see anybody, but Russell and Shambo! Neither of them were at all likable! This season could have been great if they had actually shown the cast! I still feel that Russell finding all those idols was bogus. It's obvious that he was helped finding them. The only good thing about this season is that for the first time, my favorite won. Cook Islands: There was hardly anything interesting at all! Yul and Becky were so vanilla. Adam was a ****. Parvati didn't stand out. Candace was an alright character, I guess...
I don't know if I can decide on my 3 most favorites, but my 3 least favorites (in no order): 1. Thailand - boring, boring, boring. 2. Redemption Island - predictable from day 1. 3. Gabon - probably some of the worst casting I have ever seen on Survivor, ever. No one was likable. Everyone was annoying. Honorable mention: Fiji (AWFUL cast), Guatemala (boring cast)
China: This season had my favorite overall cast! It had so many great characters! Courtney's comments really made the season for me! Plus, Todd dominating the game was really amazing! It's a shame they haven't had him back yet!
Todd, Amanda and Courtney. Hmm, maybe we could repackage their "essence" and sell it as an OTC sleep aid. Courtney is definitely up there as one of the more annoying characters in the history show, so I guess that is a plus for China? Amazingly enough, Peih-Gee was just as annoying. Amanda was pretty while doing nothing which was the blueprint for another two snoozer performances out of her. And Todd was just there...
And Todd was just there...
I think that Todd played a really good game. His answers at final tribal were awesome. Although it helps that the jury wasn't ridiculously bitter and actually rewarded gameplay... EDIT: And you can't forget James on the "memorable" list for that season. One of the dumbest ever...
I think that Todd played a really good game. His answers at final tribal were awesome. Although it helps that the jury wasn't ridiculously bitter and actually rewarded gameplay...
Did you see who he was up against? He could have pled the 5th and still won. I don't have anything against Todd, but I wouldn't necessary consider him a dynamic or inspiring reality persona.

I don't have anything against Todd, but I wouldn't necessary consider him a dynamic or inspiring reality persona.
I agree, but Todd had a good strategy going in and stuck to it. He had a jury that rewarded gameplay instead of being ridiculously bitter (although the two votes for Courtney were out of left field). It's completely possible that if he were given another jury (say, the one from Samoa), Courtney could have won that season.
I could probably do a top 5 favorites: 1. Borneo - first season, laid the woodwork 2. Micronesia - one of the greatest blindsides in history, great cast 3. Palau - beautiful location, great challenges, good cast 4. Pearl Islands - I don't know why I like this season so much, but I really did (despite the pathetic final 2) 5. Australian Outback - some of my favorite Survivors come from this season
My favorites (in no particular order): 1. Micronesia: So may great blindsides and I just loved Parvati. The only person I couldn't stand from this season was Amanda 2. Borneo: How can you not like the season that started it all? 3. Amazon: Even though I didn't like the outcome I really loved watching it for some reason. I was a big Rob C. fan and I wish he would have made it further on All-Stars. My least favorite: 1. China 2. Gabon 3. Thailand 4. Practically all the other ones minus Australia, Palau, and HvV

I'd say she's in my 10 favorites!
alumni506 Once I confirm you have completed this puzzle fully, one person needs to type "Sinners/Saints finish final!" in the main Tomb III thread.
I meant to list some Honorable Mentions on my original list, but I felt like I had rambled on for long enough. So, here we go! Honorable Mentions for FAVORITE seasons: Borneo- As others have said, it's hard not to like the season that started it all. I usually don't include this in my rankings just because it's so different from the other seasons. Amazon- I actually haven't seen this season since it originally aired 8 years ago (I hope to change that very soon), but I remember absolutely LOVING it! Palau- I loved Stephenie... 'Nuff said. Guatemala- This, in my opinion, is one of the most underrated seasons of all time. Danni was actually a pretty good player (at least I thought so... plus it didn't hurt that she was from KC :) ). I'm bummed that no one from this season has been asked to return. Exile Island- First time watching it, I didn't like it, but I was pretty much done with reality TV at the time. I re watched it a few years ago and LOVED it! Casaya was amazing! HvV- Here you go Bacchus... I know you like Russell so this is for you. This season would not have been as good as it was had Russell not made it as far as he did. It proved to be even better when he lost in the end. :) Honorable Mentions for LEAST FAVORITE seasons: Thailand- Haven't seen it since it originally aired in 2002, but I remember it being boring as hell. Fiji- It wasn't NEARLY as bad when I re watched it last summer, but over half of the cast was ignored. The editing was awful, and it was full of annoying people (Lisi and Dreamz to name a few). I'm usually pretty easy to please when it comes to Survivor. :)
Could not agree more! I'm one of the few that actually still loved Steph her second time around! For years I've been bitter about her losing in the final and said Danni was the second worst winner (behind Ambuh), but after rewatching it again recently I'll admit that she was better than people, including myself, give her credit for. Steph is still my number one Survivor :D

I would put her over Amber and also over Natalie (Samoa), who I would also put over Amber. Most of the time the winner has deserved to win, even if I didn't necessarily want them to.
This is CRG's dream cast: YouTube - ‪Survivor - Ultimate Catastrophe Edition‬‏
Now that would be a season worth seeing. Best line in the beginning "25 Demented Psychos." I'm dying. And we all know CRG would love any cast with Shambo.
I recently finished re-watching Tocantins and was wondering why a lot of people didn't like it? I actually thought it was a decent season. It had the original number of only 16 castaways AND a final two. There were several blindsides and the cast was pretty decent. I just don't get the hate.

It had probably my favorite post-merge cast. Sierra/Taj/Stephen are three of my all-time favorites.

I bet he continues with Survivor, as well as doing the show. I'm sure that once Jeff decides he's done hosting the show, the show will most likely end.

I don't think he'll put his paycheck at risk as 9 out of 10 talk shows fail out of the gate and he already has a ratings flop not too far in the rear view mirror.
It will flop. Remember this mistake?

Has anyone else noticed that Jenna Morasca's face looks weird lately? I can't tell if it's a case of bad botox or something else?
