This week: Kelly vs. Jacquie Next week: Kelly vs. Sugar? (because you know Fang will lose again and have to vote off another)
That sad thing is, you are right. Fang really doesn't stand a chance. Time to get started on the recap!
Honestly I believe that a curse has fallen upon me when it comes to Survivor lately. After missing last week I resolved to catch this week and then...my cable/internet goes out! SO guess I'll catch the episode online or wait for the recap...blah.
I am actually upset at the way things turned out. It was such a big mistake and I hope they all lose and get eliminated.
Kelly is such a waste of space, but in Jeff's blog, he said from a creative standpoint its better Kelly is there and Jacquie gone...better from an entertainment standpoint and he's totally right. I hope Kelly stirs up some trouble. Jeff's blog is on EW.com if anyone is interested.
Well Survivor comes on tonight, and I personally hope that GC or Kelly gets voted out tonight. Last weeks episode was such ****.
I hope Kelly is trampled by an elephant. Is that wrong of me? :D
Not at ALL. haha I find Randy a tough pill to swallow as well...though he proved he can kick some *** in the last challenge.
The immunity challenge and the reward challenge were nail biters, but the better team came out on top. Maybe if Fang had just a slightly better team (*hint hint* last weeks tribal decision *hint hint*) the outcome could have been different (in both events.) At this point Fang is totally screwed, although with the departure of GC I would not put it past Kota to lose on purpose to assure sending another former Fang member packing (i.e. Susie) to guarantee numbers at the merge. Speaking of tribal, Editing had me totally convinced Sugar was going home and I was ******... Looking at the previews for next week, Ace is going to be in trouble. He just sounded too confident in the teaser!

Them knowing that Sugar has it = baaaad sugar. I agree with you B - Kota should lose 1 and send Susie packing. I can't believe she lasted THIS long. She's not that good, doesn't add much, and is just another mouth to feed.
I don't understand why they didn't try to get sugar out. Even if she new that they found her out they would force her to use the idol thus taking away her advantage. I thought it was really dangerous for everyone else to just let her keep on holding that idol without forcing her to use it. Even if they still wanted GC out they could have made sugar think they were getting rid of her and then cast a few votes for GC so that when Sugar used the idol GC would go home anyway. That way GC is gone and Sugar/Ace's advantage is gone. Even if they were worried they would make an enemy they could just tell her the truth. They were forcing her to use it because it was too dangerous to let her hold onto it.

Sending the same person to Exile I think is one of the best strategies. Only one person can have the immunity idol and it's either they do or they don't.
It doesn't matter at this point. They are all going home anyway. They screwed up when they picked new teams and then could not look far enough into the future to come to the realization that you actually want to win a few challenges along the way (as signaled by keeping Kelly.) They deserve to lose and will. A little jostling here and there is not going to change their long term prospects. Unless something major happens, the primary alliance on Kota will be the final 4 (and if Sugar and Ace make it, final 6.)

Fang will definitely not be that tribe. They just don't seem to have that game mentality to win and getting pounded by Kota repeatedly doesn't do much to raise the tribe's spirits. I do see Ace/Sugar making it far in the game but pretty much Fang will never be a major force that Kota(especially that primary alliance) is and will be post merge.
Yes! Kelly is gone! I can sleep well tonight...
Tonight was a great episode! Kelly Left! Of course, Fang lost again, but the immunity challenge was actually close this time. I agree that it was wrong for Dan to eat alot of food.... but he is still my favorite. I absolutlely can not stand Randy! (Hopefully he will get voted out next week) Next weeks episode looks pretty good... I am worried for Dan though.
I absolutely can not stand Randy! (Hopefully he will get voted out next week)
I agree that Randy has to go soon and I have nothing against Susie (except that she is older and slow) but she should also be near the chopping block in the coming weeks. However, only one can go in the near term and after the merge things will change as voting blocks solidify. As for Fang, I suspect Crystal might have worn out her welcome in Africa. She did break down and she is not proving as strong as I thought she would be. For an Olympic athlete you would think that she could run around a track without getting winded! I'd probably like her more if she was not so content on getting rid of the players that I want to see succeed. I (surprisingly?) like Ace paired with Sugar but don't think they will be in a position of strength when the tribes merge even though they have friends on the other side. Matty is a good guy, but he is on the wrong side of a losing battle and the numbers just don't add up for him in the long run. Dan seems cool, but he is strong and that is reason to get rid of someone after the merge. Being he is not in the core alliance, I don't see him lasting much beyond the inital Fang exodus. My bet is the final four will probably come from the current Kota - Charlie, Bob, Corinne, Marcus.
THANK GOD KELLY IS GONE! That needed to happen like 3 weeks ago. She's absolutely worthless. Gabon is kinda lame overall. Micronesia was a ***kin' GEM man. We'll probably never get another season as good as that. We're spoiled! I agree Bach - I think the Kota alliance will come out on top. If they don't...i'd be really surprised! Both tribes are voting next week!!! Should be a gooooood episode!
Gabon is kinda lame overall. Micronesia was a ***kin' GEM man. We'll probably never get another season as good as that. We're spoiled!
I agree. The moment tribes were initially picked, I knew we were screwed. Without real competition early on, the show has suffered. Like you alluded to a few weeks back, production will be picking the initial tribes for the Spring Edition! :D

Like you alluded to a few weeks back, production will be picking the initial tribes for the Spring Edition! :D
Do you wonder if during the first couple of days the producers didn't say to each other "Let's tell them that it was all just practice for the crews and now we will start the real game?"
Overall this season has lacked competition between the two tribes, Fang has been to tribal nearly every week and it almost isn't even a tribe anymore to be honest. Plus the fact that picking new tribes actually made them worse. On the other hand Kota has set themselves up good for the merge, the alliance on Kota has never really been in danger and their mental state is great right now. Things change after the merge and who knows what will happen but I expect them to go far Anyway I am disappointed in Crystal....she should have been able to carry that snake by herself but she just hasn't been a dominating presence. Dan....well I like him but he is rubbing everyone the wrong way. I would rather Randy go than him and Susie too but I think maybe Dan might go sooner than later for some reason. Next week will be very good I think.
Good riddance to Kelly. Next I'd like to see Crystal go. She gives olympic athletes a bad name. I thought her medal was in running??? She gets a big FAIL every time she has to run. She barely made it up the hill in the first episode and was a poor performer again last night in the snake challenge. Her continuous chant that she "is not weak" is also maddeningly annoying. The Kota tribe is completely boring without any eliminations taking place. The most exciting conflict they could come up with is Dan eating too much food?
0The most exciting conflict they could come up with is Dan eating too much food?
Yes, they are struggling for a storyline over there. "Dan ate my Eclair! Boo hoo!" :D
Yes, they are struggling for a storyline over there. "Dan ate my Eclair! Boo hoo!" :D
It would be nice to see them arguing over something other than who eat what considering it was a reward and people already sampled it before hand....in front of Fang I might add. Well next week should be interesting though.
I have a feeling Dan is going home and either Ace or Crystal.
Ugh - that sucks. Ace is gone and it should have been Crystal. Sugar would have been in a better position with Ace and Matty than Kenny and Crystal. I am not saying Ace wasn't a snake in the grass, but I think it would have furthered her agenda a bit more if she had taken the other route. In the end, they are all gonners in that tribe so I guess it doesn't matter and maybe Sugar has a chance after the merge in getting back to her Kota alliance.
I definitely didn't see that one coming. I thought Sugar was the last person that would turn against Ace. I can't believe that just happened.
Noooooo, not Dan! You should have voted out Suzie! Now she will be there to the freaking end because she is weak and can't win individual immunity idols! Oh do I hate this show...
Noooo! Why? Why? WHY? I really thought Susie was going home tonight, especially when I seen that Marcus voted for Susie. Dan was my favorite too :( Randy really needs to go next week.... I don't know how much more of him I can take.
I really thought Susie was going home tonight, especially when I seen that Marcus voted for Susie.
...and I knew Dan was going home the second they showed that vote, as they only do something like that when it is obvious it is going the other way. ;)
