I loved Kupono/Ashley I thought they were brilliant, I think Wade is amazing as much as I like Mia, all her routine starts to look the same to me, Wade always brings something fresh. My favs though were Randi/Evan that dance was so sensual and mature, they have great chemistry. I also loved Janette/Brandon (though for some reason the thickness of his neck bothers me) and Kayla/Max they were all amazing. Wasn't too big on Paris/Tony but I really liked the song they were dancing to. So far I'm liking this season even the people that weren't so great were still good, I can't think of any couple that was terrible. I think it's going to be a tough season. Tyce is officially my favorite choreographer on the show right now, I actually loved the silent movie routine even though the couple didn't bring any spirit to it and as I think of it I love 99% of his routines. And I love how Mandy Moore always chooses the corniest music possible and manages to make it hot. I hope Shane comes back because that hip hop couple I'm just not enjoying the choreo at all. And must there be a Neyo song on EVERY show? I can't stand his music, it's so generic. Did any one else find themselves missing Katee and Joshua during the bollywood routine? They set the bar so high that I don't think I could fairly judge this routine because I was comparing it to theirs.

They're upbeat, they're fast, and they're entertaining. There is never anything wrong with a little Richard Marx. You know you love it Binary...even if it is a little sappy! I was totally thinking Katee and Joshua as well, but I think that Caitlin and Jason did a great job. That guy is a great choreographer, and I hope they use Bollywood routines more in the future.

Well I won't be fishing the Best of Richard Marx out of the bargin bin at Best Buy but Mandy does have a way of making me think wow, who knew that song had so much emotion, I do have to admit that I downloaded Queen's body language after the Pasha/Sara routine in season 3 though!

OK so I was just BLOWN AWAY by Philip and Jeanine!! I don't know if it's just cause I like that song or I'm so easily impressed with this stuff anyway, but if that sets the tone for the night, I am pumped.

Awww Evan and Randi's dance was really neat too. Very sweet and graceful, and I loved that dress she was wearing.
I was away tonight so I couldn't watch the results. Looked 'em up though but I don't want to spoil it. Let me know what you all think once you find out!

Who was it?! I don't want to wait! :D
Who was it?! I don't want to wait! :D
Paris and Tony.

Wow...didn't expect that...
paris and tony sucked anyway. so glad i missed it. they are like no good people this year besides brandon and asuka.
paris and tony sucked anyway. so glad i missed it. they are like no good people this year besides brandon and asuka.
I would disagree with all of your statement. They made it to the top 20, so they can't "suck" that much. They may have been some of the weaker dancers left, but they by far did not suck. I think there are quite a few good people, and Asuka didn't look good at all last night or Wednesday. In fact, when Nigel gave his explanation for why Paris was going, he mentioned having a diverse cast...with Asuka being the only female ballroom dancer, the way it was worded made it sound like they only kept Asuka because there wasn't another dancer like here, while there were a few other contemporary dancers.

Paris wasn't very memorable to me, but I was surprised that Tony went so soon. Oh well, it's the nature of the game...
Well they still got big shoes to fill compared to the cast that was season 3 and season 4.
Paris and Tony going was depressing. Both of them were favorites of mine. But, I will admit they did the worst. I am definitely loving Randi and Evan though.

I don't think he used all his potential in the competition.
Me either Needsalife. I think that he tru;y didn't recognize what was in front of him.
I think this season is shaping up to be very good. Most of the dancers are very good and the first night featured many great performance. Actually, I did not love last year that much. There were definitely great dancers but I enjoyed season 2 and 3 much more
Man, if i was still back in NH I would be watching the Top 28 perform right now! Sadly, I still have 2.5 more hours until it airs. :( If anyone is watching it on EST let me know if the performances are good!

Tonight they did the "Something America doesn't know about _____" and Jonathan said that Karla is a member of Boogie Bots, which I'm guessing is the same Boogie Bots from Season 2 of ABDC. That's one more on the list of ABDC/SYTYCD alumni, although I believe Karla is the first to do ABDC before SYTYCD. Overall, I thought it was an OK week of dances, but definitely not as good as last week. I wasn't a fan of either Shane Sparks routines, and Shane looked PISSED when they were critiquing Jason and Caitlin and really disappointed with Kupono and Ashley. I really liked Ade and Melissa (LOVE Sonya), Karla and Jonathan, and Asuka and Vitolio.

I think Evan and Randi did well! They are early favorites of mine.
Thank God you're back! It was getting lonely here on the west coast lol.
Haha, it gets lonely talking with yourself about a show doesn't it?! Glad to be back so we can rip these people apart! ;) j/k I liked Evan and Randi too but I did think she overshadowed him for most of the routine. Up next Ade and Melissa. I automatically like it because of Sonja :) Also, thanks for the recap molds!

Okay. Jason...TOO CUTE with the MJ impersonation! The hair, the shirt, the FAN! Love it :)
That was probably the only routine you didn't want to miss tonight...
Grrr, figures. I'll find it online. I actually thought Jason and Katelyn did good! Then again, I can't even cabbage patch to save my life so I'm easily impressed by hip-hop. :D
I thought Jason and Katelyn were fine. They danced it well, but I didn't really like the choreography. DISCO! Man that was wicked fast. I thought it was fun and they did it well. I can always get behind a routine like that.
