What is it about?

its about quite a lot haha but essentially: On one completely random October day, 2% of the entire world's population disappeared unexplainably. The show takes place three years after this "rapture", focusing on a family and the small NY town of Mapleton where they live. It is about how that event has had a lasting impact on every single person and how they dealt (and are still dealing) with the departed. Cults have formed, nobody trusts dogs, high school spin the bottle has tuned into a game of sexual torture, and pretty much everyone is ****** in one way or another. It's a very depressing show, dealing with loss and grief and coping with something that no one understands (and never will). The show poses a lot of questions, but don't expect them all to be answered.. The show isn't about the answers, but more about dealing with the problems first hand.

Season two completely revamped the show (season 1 was based on the book of the same name, season 2 is completely original material (with help from the original writer). The show still follows some of the characters from season 1, but the location is completely new (a small town in texas that experienced no disappearances), but it has added a lot of new ppl and mysteries that just keep getting better and better. If the show makes you completely depressed after every episode, it's done its job lol... It can be a really tough show to watch at times, but it is wholly rewarding since the show is a masterpiece (especially Season 2)

check it out!!!

The Leftovers on HBO is actually the BEST show this year... Season 2 has been a masterpiece. Every episode has been perfection. I look forward to this the most every single week. HIGHLYY RECOMMENDED!!!!!

Yeah right. Not compared to Empire/Chicago PD/SVU (even though the latter only has like 5 people, lol, its still good and trumps much of HBO)

Do you like Ray Donovan?

What about the old show True Blood?

HA you have got to be kidding me... Chicago PD?? SVU??!!!! WHAT? LOL no. Just no.

ive only caught a few episodes of Ray Donavan and I did like it but it's nowhere near as good as The Leftovers. And it was WAY better than True Blood... I hope that was just a joke haha

check it out and you will understand

okay hold up... wait a minute.... Starz is now making original scripted shows and they are ******* amazing!!!!

Ash VS Evil Dead is everything and MORE!!! It lives up to the original movie series in every possible way... I still can't believe how good it was! Can't wait for the rest of the season

I just checked out Starz's latest offering, ballet drama Flesh & Bone and it as well is amazing! I have never been interested in ballet... never even seen one (that includes black swan lol.. just didnt care for it). But this is something else... its dark and gritty, characters are ruthless and you can feel the actual pain these ballet members go through. It has great acting to, by all cast members... the whole season goes online this sunday, but the first episode has already aired.

I may need to cut some shows off my watch list to make room for these two... most new fall shows i've already dropped lol

Aziz Ansari's new show on Netflix "Master of None" is actually hilarious!!! Haven't stopped laughing since I started my binge today hahaha

I don't know if anyone here watches Blindspot (great show IMO), but the producers just revealed that each episode title is an anagram, and when you put all the anagrams togethers they reveal a message. I thought it was a little nice touch to the shiw.

I gave up on it after like the 4th or 5th episode.... I was enjoying it for a time, but i'm starting to get a little bored of procedural dramas. Let me know how it ends, and then i'll consider binge watching it hahaha I love that they did a nice little touch with the episode titles... very cool! haha (itll probably be something to do with season 2)

Blindspot is amazing people need to get into it instead of a show that uses a similiar idea to something from 14 years ago instead of being original. lol

Most shows have done this. I'm however sick of plays on words, puns, quotes or music references, especially ******* ones like Finding Carter. That is just atrocious right there.

what show is that?

Did you guys see the article that was posted two or 3 days ago about the 8 movies of the 90s that should be a television series? Well in case you didn't among them were the following:

I Know What You Did Last Summer

JawBreaker

Empire Records

Clueless (a new one for whatever reason, lol)

and 4 others thatescape me at the moment.

The article came about as people are getting excited and producting gearing up for the Cruel Intentions television series. Which reminds me they should of done that from the jump instead of CI2 and CI3.

lol they did do that from the jump actually... Cruel Intentions 2 was episode 1-3 combined of Machester Prep (a tv show based on CI that was thought too risky and got the plug pulled).... I don't know if they recasted and reshot it (you can probs find that out easily), but I know that movie was those three episodes with extra scenes to fill in the blanks of the movie

Manchester Prep sounds so familiar actually I think I read  or seen it mentioned on ONTD but didnt know it was actually true. Now i NEED TO google that shit.

And I feel played. I pimped out Wicked City and that shit was cancelled. I need to check out SUburgatory since everyone and their momma mentioned it on imdb.

I remember hearing about a few of these but didn't know there was so many:
