The Ruins: Reunion Show

As far as Maria, they would have been better served having a veteran of other Challenges as the host. In regards to Veronica, she told me on her Twitter that she was done. But when I asked if she would ever host a Challenge if they asked her, she responded with a "Hell yeah!". She'd love to be the host for Challenge. I was over Johanna the moment she cheated on Wes with Kenny. As for KA, I also found it interesting that she singled out Johnny over Susie as who she would have cut a deal.

Johanna didn't "cheat" on Wes with Kenny, they were already broken up.
Just saw the reunion show, and I didn't think it was too bad. I found it funny how Dunbar didn't say anything till the very end. Also, it's nice to see that Katie and Veronica get along so well now. :)
The initial perception at the time was not so but learned later on.
What is that supposed to mean? Johanna never cheated on Wes with Kenny. The only time I've heard of people even saying that was on here. Gauntlet 3 was taped in Summer 2007. They broke up in January 2008, which is when the Gauntlet 3 was airing. Johann had announced that her and Wes broke up publicly on the reunion, which was in March I believe but they had been broken up well before then (all vevmo veterans should know this, it was posted). The Island was was taped in Summer 2008. Johanna did not cheat on Wes with Kenny.
Well since this is the reunion thread I thought it was a safe assumption. But since I am apparently wrong please do explain to me what you meant to say in so few words.
Oh please. There are a bunch of sub-topics being discussed here. All that matters is that they're about the RW/RR challenges in some capacity. And OMG at you thinking people owe you explanations. Don't make assumptions and you'll be fine.

And I'm not saying anyone OWES me anything but when someone posts such a general comment all you can do is ask for an explanation or make an assumption. I'm not a mind reader. Despite the fact that there are subtopics they are generally still related to the thread topic. If you don't want to discuss ideas you have then why bother posting them?
Knock it off, both of you.
Fair enough... I kind of expected to get in trouble with the last one. My apologies.
I found it interesting when Katie said the only voices she was listening for during her Ruin, was Derrick and Veronica. With all that her and Veronica went through in the past, it's great to see them have that trust with each other now.
Johanna's so mean to Wes.

I also found it interesting that Wes' team was giving him wrong information when he was against Cohutta. I wonder if that was a factor to Cohutta beating him or if Cohutta was simply better.

As for trusting V, she was basically forced to stick with her, because she knew herself and V would be outcasted. They actually came out of this show friends. I just finished watching the reunion and it was boring. It was like a nice little chit-chat. The only segment I enjoyed was with KA and Sarah, when Sarah said they agreed to put her in because she was sleeping with wes. It was lame. Derrick was the only champ who won, that wasn't there. I was kind of shocked Darrell, Tonya and Cohutta weren't there, although I didn't think they would bring much drama. I didn't realize Dunbar was there, till the end and Johanna did not deserve to be there.
I agree. I also found it interesting that Wes' team was giving him wrong information when he was against Cohutta. I wonder if that was a factor to Cohutta beating him or if Cohutta was simply better.
I wasn't surprised that they gave him wrong information since it seemed that they wanted him out. It could be that was a factor that made Cohutta win. I think it was cool that Wes accepted him defeat to Cohutta and didn't blame his team for his downfall, especially after it seemed like Wes was annoyed with Cohutta and wanted him out at that point.
i did hear that the Champs were given Wes incorrect information, what i heard was that Cohutta was getting a lot of help from his team, and Wes wasnt.. although i think that KellyAnne did try to help him. The same with Katie, she did not say she was getting wrong info from her team, what she said that going in she had decided that (of all the noise, cheerring, comments, etc) she will psych herself to hear only Derrick's and Veronica's voices.
Also, i think it was clear that KA vs Ev happening was a perfect storm kind combination of circumstances, most of the Champs girls did not care for or like KA, plus they saw her as a dangerous threat to themselves, Ev had the best chances of taking her out, the Champ men wanted to give Wes a lesson ( "we are going after his loved ones" ), the challenger girls didnt care much for KA either, sending her in meant that one of them did not have to go in, they also found it strategic to have the Champs owe them one.. What i think Sarah touched on was that on top of all this, KA was basically sleeping with the enemy (and the same time distancing herself from her own team), because even though Wes wanted to throw challenges and ally himself with the challengers, it was all as a survival tactic, not because he really wanted the Challengers ultimately to win, he -of course- wanted to win himself, and regretfully for that to happen he was going to have to send home any challenger he faced on the ruins, and since the champs planned to send him in a lot, it was understood that Wes was going to be sending a lot of challengers home. so KA was indeed sleeping with the enemy, not the only reason her team tried to screw her over, but an important one.

I think you hit the nail right on the head.
Someone said that Katie now likes and gets along with Evan and Kenny and they are friends now? Proof? That backstage pass thing is not proof. Not just because MTV sat them down together. Katie was saying right there that Evan was the biggest jerk on the challenge. And she called them a name I can't repeat during the reunion. I don't think she cares for them that much. lol. I got the feeling that if Evan and Kenny weren't there, Wes, Kelly Anne, and Katie would be talking crap about them and saying what dirtbags they are. And if Wes and Kelly Anne and Katie hadn't been there, Evan and Kenny would have talked crap about them too possibly. Evan and Kenny think Katie is obnoxious and disgusting from what they said on the past backstage pass. And Katie said on her myspace how she finds them funny but she can't stand them. She was talking about Johanna in negative terms on there (I notice Evan was really quiet, I think he was uncomfortable with that), but I'm guessing she feels the same way about Evan and Kenny. I think she likes Johnny though.
I wonder if Evan and Wes are still friends. I remember before the Ruins they were friends outside the show.
When discussing Tonya, Katie said it best about her and Veronica. They've gotten over what problems existed in the past because it was like 4 years ago. Tonya turned down the opportunity to attend. As I understand it, Derrick was not invited.

I felt he was more important than some people that were at the reunion...
what did kellyanne say about her and wes' relationship in the backstage pass? because im in canada i can't watch the video. TIA!
lol i was about to throw up when Kenny hugged Wes xDDD
lol i was about to throw up when Kenny hugged Wes xDDD
What strikes me as odd is they looked like they reunited, but then are ripping each other's heads off in Fresh Meat 2.

either they both are good actors and were paid for that hug, or...hm... they became BFF on FM2 xD can't wait
I'm just so startled by how tame and quiet KellyAnne was in this reunion, after ball-busting in the Island reunion. She's really changed a bit. She was so passive, it was weird.
Well, everything better than her wannabe gangster behaviour on the Island reunion.
I think that was just because she was wasted. But it was still HILARIOUS!
