Real World: Washington DC - Trailer

I enjoyed the trailer, but I agree about not jumping to conclusions on whether or not this will be a good or bad season. Andrealeigh, I agree 100% with everything in your post.
It looks like it's going to be a great season. If I wanted to see people getting drunk and fighting constantly there are tons of shows I could turn to. I watch the real world to see people transform from the first episode to the last basically. I don't want constant drunken drama, I want substance.
I am probably in the minority here, but I actually enjoyed the trailer. It wasn't the best trailer I have ever seen, but it wasn't the worst. I am looking forward to this season.
I hope this season can survive despite all the hype surrounding it. I feel like my expectations are unrealistically high due to the ****fits thrown by DC/locals, Elizabethany videos, and the like. Meh, whatever. Agreed on the lame trailer though.
This trailer was so cheesy, almost like a 90's teen flick.

I was complaining (because that is what we do around here, lol) about the trailer, not the content or the cast. I am still looking forward to this season. I think it is going to be great. BTW: Was Ashley even in the trailer? I looked at it really quick. I expect one of you breakdown experts to give the second by second goods. :D

Soo...I actually liked the trailer. Was the first one in a long time where it didn't highlight screaming, swearing, hooking up, and breaking things. Not to say that won't happen, but it's nice that it's not the primary focus.

After the huge blowups/debauchery on Cancun and The Ruins, it's kind of nice to have something different looking.

LOL...now that everyone has seen the trailer already the hype is over.
I'm honestly confused. The point of creating trailers is to generate hype. So either there was NO drama this season, or the person who created that 2 minute clip package didn't know *** they were doing. And should be fired. I didn't watch The City. Did they show the same trailer w/ the same footage?
I am guessing that another (possibly longer) version will be released at the Ruins reunion, as they may be expecting more people to tune in, but the reasoning behind it does not make much sense. I find it odd that with all of the things we know happened this season thanks to various sources, none seemed to appear on this trailer. I liked the trailer and from what I know the season looks and sounds promising, but with all of the hype surrounding this season, I felt a sense of disappointment after watching it.
Vevmo always sees a huge traffic boost from new Real World trailers. No such bump, at all. No one cares. The trailer was a complete failure. Looking at quick numbers, I am seeing about 1000% lower numbers vs. the premiere of The Real World Cancun trailer (i.e was the trailer actually shown?)

Maybe they just presume people will just watch it. The show the Real World has been on for a long time and they don't want to give up anything to good.

I keep watching the beginning of the trailer...I'm dying over Andrew.
ok so First of all...what is the name of the song right at the beginning when they first show everyone's name "gonna conquer the world..." it was so good. And second, this trailer was too boring for me. I like depth, but c'mon give a girl some drama here!

Another thing, I don't know why everyone is freaking out over the ratings because not even the Hills gets over 2 million anymore.

We wouldn't even know about it if it weren't for the cast Tweets!

Back in the day, most, if not all of MTV's shows did well, now we are barely lucky if they get past a 1.5. I'm sick of people blaming everything on certain cast members, because all of MTV's shows get bad ratings. If the hills doesn't get past 2 million, neither will anything else.
According to their Twitter, it's a group called Parade of Lights and a song "First Light"
Thanks, but that was the song for the rest of the trailer. I'm talking about the one right at beginning. It says "gonna conquer the world//i am the voice of every boy and every girl" ugh its so catchy and i can't find it. But thanks for the quick response - i luv vevmo lol.
Boring!!! On to Fresh meat 2 please!!

Myspace - Richey Lam It is the first song in the music playlist on the profile.
My favorite so far is Ashley.
Finally a mellow season...HALLELUJAH!!! Andrew cracks me up, all 8 roommates so far look and act as chill as can be, and thank the Lord that for the first time in probably a long time, the teaser trailer doesn't show a whole bunch of intense scenes of the roommates arguing loudly, throwing stuff, and threatening to hit somebody!:) That routine has really been getting old.
I don't understand how anyone can be excited about this.. What we are watching is a less exciting Brooklyn.. And the only elements that made that good were: Kaits story, Ryans story, and crazy Sarah and her cool story. The only thing that will keep me watching is because I know Josh, but based on the trailer he will be the Baya. IDK why because I heard some juice stuff while he was down there.
B is right, we do know a lot of information thanks to Wiggy & co. I figured we would at least get the shot of Ty throwing someone off the balcony..lol.
Well, I'm pretty sure the Ty throwing Andrew off the balcony (yes, a nugget for you since I didn't tell you who was thrown previously) will be teased heavily at some point in the season with the "shocker" of did Ty get kicked out or not and why or why not.... I personally liked the trailer - and knowing what I know about what happened the last several months, I'm sure that there will be plenty to look forward to. I had a mini enjoyment in the trailer already since several of my friends were already in the background and visible... And so you know - the establishing shot of Mike was at Cobalt and the Erika crying thing was outside of Nellie's (one of the big twitter alerts that came out that night after a disagreement/fight). There ya have it.
I think all of the roomies look stunning! I'm glad they showed Andrew alot, I freaking miss him! The part with us snuggling got me a bit choked up!!! For those who don't like the trailer: I sincerely hope you will at least give the show a chance, and not be turned off just by the trailer. Young people with goals, trying to make a difference in the world (which is what DC does...), discovering themselves, falling in love, growing as individuals... isn't boring. Its positive! Of course there will be drama, hookups, partying...those are staples to all RW seasons as well as just being in your 20s!... but you have to keep in mind that the 'city' often becomes a major character in the season, and it different depending on where it is. Hollywood = everyone trying to be famous Cancun = spring break, much more drunken drama DC = its the era of obama and trying to change the world in a positive manner This season is a bit more grown up than the rest... but what's wrong with that?
Andrea - this is why I love you! By the way, we still have drinks to be had...
I am holding out hope that we can see better stuff. Why are none of the cast posting yet? Cancun had at least 3 cast members posting by the time their trailer came out.
...because they are absolutely forbidden to do so contractually.... they're reading though.

Regardless, we have seen a trailer, and not even an episode yet. We should wait to make judgements until the season airs. And you think FM2 will be better than DC? Your nutsssss. You should try asking the cast members how much fun Canada was.
