I
not sure if you talked about this already, but it seems that Alexandra and Byron are no longer together. If you knew... great! If you want reasons to support it, google is your friend.
I'm not surprised gthats normal for this show. They need to realize that relationships on this show don't last. I don't think she lied abougt her age either
I cannot condone her deception about her age just to compete. While some might say that it just proved how good she was, it also undermines the very nature of competition. Rules exist for a reason.
When did she lie about her age?
I cannot condone her deception about her age just to compete. While some might say that it just proved how good she was, it also undermines the very nature of competition. Rules exist for a reason.
Well, being so young, she would not have had any control/say over the false age being attached to her. Her coaches/federation would be responsible for that (just like in the situation with the underage Chinese gymnasts from the Olympics - the ones from 2000, at least, that were proven underage). So I wouldn't blame her for it. Gymnastics is quite a controlled sport. And I'm sure the with the racial situation she would have had even less say about anything. Yes, the age thing is cheating because there are rules against it and other countries who play by the rules are denied a chance to use their talented gymnasts of younger ages. On the other hand, the gymnast is still competing the routines and will be evaluated on the same level as the others in the competition, so it's not like a physical cheating that could occur in another sport. Either way that issue could be viewed, a child is not at fault for a false age/passport/birth certificate being given to compete - the adults who do it are.

And as lies go, I feel like there are much worse than this. Once again, not saying it's okay just stating what I think.

To that extent, I think it is a negative toward her. I don't know much about her and not nearly enough to say I think she is either a good or a bad person. Nobody's perfect. I don't know a lot about gymnastics either, but my understanding is that the reason the rules are there has to do with giving the older girls a shot at their time because of the physical difficulty of a post-pubescent girl competing against the younger ones. It is counter-intuitive, but that is a sport where girls are washed up by the time they are graduating high school.

That's true, I don't know much about it either, but it's not fair for the older girls who are running out of time. Definitely a negative to her, but I still think of her as a good person overall (from what has been shown on the show).
She is really beautiful, people don't give her enough credit and her moral code would have been fun to watch had they shown her, I really don't get why people call her unlikable.

Alex is good-looking. All her reactions are a little too much like beauty pageant answers to me.
I know this is long overdue and I really didn't like her or her music at first, but for some reason, I actually am into her songs lately. This one particularly hit home: The Rest Ain't You - YouTube. I guess it's better late than never. Alexandra, I love your music :D

Alexandra, I love your music :D
It's a shame because with her backstory she would have been a shoo-in for American Idol since that show loves contestants who have overcome obstacles to get featured on their show. But now that she's been on a drama-centered reality TV show, it's unlikely she'll get that shot since she'll be seen as a reality TV star even if she's different. Maybe The Voice would cast her.

Bantu - Complicated - Vevo dscvr (Live) ft. Shungudzo

shes so pretty

Legend. I love this girl, and she got screwed over by being put on an awful cast.

She's become a songwriter and had a few co-writes on Little Mix's album.

She now performs as Shungudzo which I think is her middle name and had a song on the Fifty Shades Freed Soundtrack. She also performs in a duo called age.sex.location which is performing at Lollapalooza this year. A newer solo song from October is pretty catchy: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=T5P2blM2unc

I wish that she did a Challenge.

Frank was so weird with her from the little I remember of this season.
