Is it just me, or does that hot tub look small? It only looks like a 6 seater...V, did you get close enough to look at the hot tub any further? P.S. Thanks, as usual :D

Thank you V1, you're awesome. Are they going to finish painting the top or are they going to leave it like that?

Thanks for the GREAT pics, V! I'm starting to get an idea of how this house will look. :)
No clue about further painting, although they will not be shooting high up on the building expect for establishing shots, so what little they tape can be enhanced in post-production. I did get close enough to look at the hot tub. It is not large, but suspect it will be large enough. When the awning is strung with fabric on the top and sides, it will be a nice cozy place, suitable for lust or romance, depending upon one's character. The proximity to the street amazes me, and I'll not be surprised at some effort of the American, GW or Georgetown University communities to attempt a little hijinks with the hot tub.
Great photos V1man. I am sure they will be thinking of you at Columbia University next spring when nominations are set forth for the Pulitzer prize. :wink2:
I have to say that I love the traditional look of this house. It appears from the outside like a normal American home- while I enjoy the RW houses, they are not your typical looking housing. The home is beautiful and makes me want to sell my house and move to DC.

I hate to miss the opening of the shoot, but I'm off to LA to work on more new shows with Planet Beth where I get to play Exec Producer. We just completed our first on for showing in DirecTV in September. There are some past RW cast member in it. After this one, we have six more to do under our contract with them. YouTube - MVI 0284 This is one of several new exterior security cameras. There will also be cameras elsewhere pointed at the house so the DC police will have ample video evidence to use in the prosecution of those up to no good around the house. YouTube - Pool Table Delivery Pool table guys just leaving... They were there way to early for me today! YouTube - Hot Tub Under New Canopy "Yes, Virginia, there is a Santa Clause." Christmas has come early to D.C. There is a hot tub under the blue tarp, soon to be completely covered by a canopy (hopefully in some aesthetically pleasing color.)
Aw, he gave you a wave and a head nod! You're special :)

V1 we are going to miss you around here! Thanks so much for the pictures, videos, and everything else. Hopefully when you come back you can snoop some more. :)
Aw, he gave you a wave and a head nod! You're special :)
The delivery and construction and delivery people are great. I take care of them by emailing pics them their pics later. Some of the BMP people are nice, others not so... Not all the young ones have yet figured out that I'm there doing a job just like they are, and spreading good will in the neighborhood. I met some great people from the National Network to End Domestic Violence today, a cause my wife and I have been committed to for some years. They were excited and highly supportive of the presence of the Real World show just outside of their window. Here is their website. If anyone has little extra money or time on their hands, this organization is certainly worthy of your support. One of the most helpful things one can do is to donate your old cell phone and charger for the benefit of domestic violence victims. I should have checked Vevmo while on vacation! I was just in DC last Saturday - Tuesday. I would have gone by the house if I had read this while I was there. Shucks!

Got any close ups? LOL Good thing its covered, can you imagine the crowds if it wasn't? Thanks Dream!
That tree is too bushy and needs a nice trim.
Other than the awning being up and some people milling about outside the place, no cast arrival activity to report today. IMHO the house needs a few more days. I'm not sure the movie filming a few blocks away is helping keeping the profile of the Real World DC House down. I wasn't there today, but will provide a complete report from there tomorrow or Monday morning.
IMHO the house needs a few more days.
Wiggyndc, when will you give in to the fact that my date (the 27th) is the date? (Which means post 27th, not prior. Sometime after the 27th...) Why are the secondary ads for camera and sound operators not being reported? Vevmo has had this pegged from the start as we take in all the intel. The 20th was a ridiculous number, although I don't see a flurry of blogs correcting the bad information today...
I seem to believe that it will be just before the fourth of July (so yes, the 27th or so). That means I won't be there to provide coverage, since I'll be in NYC for several days. I agree that no flurry of corrective activity began today. I do know that a flurry of traffic to that location is happening today. I've actually been more interested in when they start their B-roll shooting. That would signify progress to me. But, given that several dozen young-types are now milling in and out of the house, I'm assuming their primary ad for camera/mixers serves to start some sort of shooting the next several days.

We are in agreement that the 20th is not the date (although I have read that on about 50 blogs, including some that were known for there journalistic integrity. I have told people for over a month that is not the date.) Spread the word. There are people wasting their time stalking the house at this very moment. I believe in my journalistic instincts and sometimes wish that the 1000's of blogs reporting on this story would take a step back and listen to the experts on this show (i.e. in most cases us.) The cast will not show up today. Go home. Read a bit. Go back and get the right story.
Some outlets around here have been reporting "Filming starts in July." I wonder where they have that info from? It wouldn't sound completely inaccurate (aside from what we know the secondary crew hire date to be 6/27). Either way, I'm pretty certain that the moment any production type activity begins, I/We will have the info up! :)
