I would say that is this is the best finale in a while. It's up there with the Key West finale, which I doubt anyone could EVER top for me.
Ehhhhh....
I like this episode...
Mike's a great role model.
He is my favorite male real world cast member in the history of this show.
Wow, you guys. This finale and the ep. before it were undoubtedly the best eps. of the season! Such a great finale! Makes me kinda sad that the season really just started to pick up :(

He reminded me a little bit of Danny from New Orleans. I would say I think of him as being one of the nicest guys on the show but he wasn't colorful enough for me to call him my favorite. Ace is still probably my favorite dude from the show.
DC is finally over. I loved Emily, Callie, and I wished Andrea was a cast member instead of Erica. Otherwise I hope to see mainly Emily on a challenge.
In a strange way I am going to miss this season. It might not have been the most exciting season but I actually liked most of the cast. Andrew was my favorite even though at first I thought I'd hate him and Josh.....well I didn't care for him that much.
Mike, Andrew, and Ashley were the only entertaining people on this season. But I can see how Josh, Ty, and Emily got casted, however I don't think any of the cast members besides Andrew, Josh and Mike really played the role the casting directors wanted them to be though which was why this season failed:
Ashley - The *****
Emily - The rebellious anti-religious party girl
Erika - The outcast
Ty - the aggressive black man
Mike - the token gay guy
Josh - the deuchebag
Callie - The ignorant girl from a small town
Andrew - the funny guy

that describes them perfectly
I am surprised to say that I'm really sad it's over. Although I did not exactly enjoy this season for a few episodes in the middle, all in all I loved this cast more than any other cast apart from San Francisco and New Orleans.
Mike, Ashley, and Callie might be my favorite cast members of all the seasons, and there was no one in the house that I absolutely did not like...*cough* except for Erika maybe *cough*
I don't really think Callie came off like an igonorasnt small town girl. To me, she seemed like a sweet girl with no self esteem.
I'm not saying she came off that way, I'm just saying thats how they were probably type casted to act like and only a few of them actually fulfilled that as much as they were probably supposed to: Mike, Andrew, Josh.
Great end to a great season. I LOVE CALLIE. She seems like such a genuine person. I loved watching her on this season.
And say what you want about Ashley, but whoever cast her should get a raise. And a promotion. What a fantastic cast member - the perfect example of the types of people who should get on the show.
Ugh - do we really have to watch another challenge? =/

Um......no
But Honestly I'm glad this season was over. This season has a few moments but nothing major.

I agree I hate challenges there so immature and they ruin the people that come off this show for me bc usually when a show ends you get to see how much a person grew and changed for the better and by the end they become such a better person. However challenges kinda ruin that...without a doubt.
But yeah I agree could you imagine this season without Ashley....? That would of been like San Diego without Frankie which without her would of been boring besides a few things and everyone always talks about how good that season was.
Whoever casted Ashley knows how to cast, and whoever casted Mike and Andrew needs to get a raise. Them 2 are prob. if not the most def. up there for the most original cast members in the past 5 years of real world without a doubt. There characters added something I haven't seen in a while to a show like this: uniqueness. You couldn't just find a copy of either two on the streets like you could every one else...How many politically informed gay jocks do you know? what about someone with a sense of humor like Andrews? exactly...& thats what future real world seasons need. People who are willing to be weird.

I totally agree - Mike and Andrew were pretty original, and that's something the show needs to get back to. And everyone will sit here and ***** about Ashley, but A) She's not a horrible person and B) her drama was fun to watch. I'd drink a beer or ten with her.
I didn't realize it until the final episode but Ashley really seemed to fall into the background after the first 1/3 or so of the season, which is a shame.
I liked the casting deicisions for this season (Andrew, Erika, Ty, Ashley, Josh in particular) because they seem to actually be closer to "regular people" that you might actually meet in "the real world". Mike is maybe the most unique of the season (being as you described mcis a politically-motivated gay jock) but I found him refreshing as well. The only one I didn't care for at all was Emily; I could do without ever seeing another like her on RW. I'd throw Erika in there too but reality is full of people like her so I've learned to get over it.

Very very true...you definitely do need relatable, "real" people that you could just meet in any small town or big city in America, BUT they also have to be very entertaining and fresh which is where the "unique" quality has to come in. I'd say a good cast member is someone who looks like someone you'd see on the street but has the personality of an outgoing, funny, strange, individual & who upon a first meeting with them isn't afraid to tell you something like how much they ********** or how much debt there in. A very open and honest individual w/ pizazz.
