So I saw on the MM Agency site Back To The Bayou So is that what this season is going to be called.I hope they do a Reunited so we can see more older people on the Next Challange I mean Reunited is only Two Weeks and They could help cast RW 25 as well.Yeah they robally do not like Julie but Arissa was not a fan favorite when she came back in.
Back to the Bayou isnt a bad name if they live in a swamp! Why not name it Back to the Big Easy!!??
Back to the Bayou isnt a bad name if they live in a swamp! Why not name it Back to the Big Easy!!??
I was thinking Real World:French Quarter or Real World:The Big Easy
I was thinking Real World:French Quarter or Real World:The Big Easy
If they want low ratings again they'll name it something stupid like all those things. It should just be called real world: back to new orleans if they ever want ratings again...

Real World: The Big Easy, *****. Right, everyone is going to automatically think of Eric.
I was suggesting those because they haven't called anything Back To since Season 10
I was suggesting those because they haven't called anything Back To since Season 10
I know but I'm just saying, the appropriate title would be Real World: Back to New Orleans. I don't think it really matters because most of the people who watched the show back then don't watch it now unless your a hardcore fan ( vevmo users, etc.). The show is completely different. Even when RW first got into its a party phase. I don't know, I personally think BMP is trying "too hard". I think the cast too many certain types of people. Like oh hey its a party season, lets cast a bunch of idiots, and oh hey its a serious season, lets cast a bunch of serious people. BMP just needs to go with the flow. Key West was good example of a party season/ serious season during the party era or RW. Now BMP is trying to satisfy both fans and its just not working. DC is big cluster ****. I don't know what to think of it.

And Denver was a party season but then it had Colie with mono. And the whole "gay" issue. Keep it that way BMP.
So I saw on the MM Agency site Back To The Bayou So is that what this season is going to be called.
That is not the case. MM Agency has also referred to the upcoming season as "Real World Part Deux" and "Real World Back to New Orleans".
If they want low ratings again they'll name it something stupid like all those things. The name has nothing to do with the ratings.
Real World: The Big Easy, *****. Right, everyone is going to automatically think of Eric.
No they won't. It was called that long before he stepped into the picture.

Whatever they call this season they need to audience test it first with their target demographic in order to get it right. I also think BMP/MTV need to******* up and go pay PerezHilton some cash to mention the show on his site over and over...that'll also help drive the rating back up.

They need to be smart and promote the **** season like it's one of the best in the Real World history, even if it isn't. They need to remind everyone of what an incredible reality series the Real World is, and maybe they could do that by devoting a lot of time for marathons of earlier seasons. Seasons that the majority of the young kids out there don't even know exist! They need to treat the show a lot better and do the marathons of older seasons, put some effort into doing the whole print/television/media promos, and try to have things appeal to a broad range of people; from the younger kids to the older folks who used to love watching RW but haven't in 10 years or so. Just make everything exciting again!
I agree real world marathons would be awesome! what if they did seasons 11- 23 that would be huge but I doubt that mtv would let them take time away from there constant airings of useless shows like "is she really into him" and "teen mom".... I think the original New Orleans would at least be acceptable to show a marathon of at least once. I think also San Diego, D.C., Austin, Key West, and Sydney would be good to show. but yeah marketing is gonna have to be good!

Teen Mom isn't useless and its the second highest rated show in the network, Jersey Shore being the first.....
I think this season might get good ratings just because of it's location. I have tons of people from other places asking me how things are here in N.O. I think the public is generally interested in what the status of things in N.O. are. That alone might drive in some viewers. However, it might be up to the cast/editing to keep or lose those viewers.
Keep in mind that they've filmed during one of the most exciting years ever. (and i'm talking about the superbowl win)

Yeah well everyone was excited about DC because of the location...and look at that.
Yeah well everyone was excited about DC because of the location...and look at that.
Yeah. That's why I think initially it will do well but then it will be up to the content of the show to keep the viewers interest. They do have Mardi Gras and all the Superbowl hype but we'll have to see how it all comes together.
Lest we not forget what happens pre/post those events. Otherwise know as the show itself.
Of course. That's what I meant by the "content of the show". That includes everything, not just Mardi Gras and the Superbowl. Those 2 things alone couldn't possibly make up the whole season. At least I hope not.
So wait...quick question? Did the roomates get jobs this season? I still think it should go back to its original format and they should give the roomates a job. Alot of great storylines and drama stems from the group job and thats what past seasons have been lacking. It would be a perfect job if they just went around cleaning up and helping Katrina victims...

I agree with you mcis! I like it when the roomies have assigned jobs. I would like to see a lot of community service this time around.
I agree with you mcis! I like it when the roomies have assigned jobs. Also don't think theres ever been a job like that before where they get paid to rebuild houses and pick up trash and work with disaster relief victims, that would be so cool!
so what month do you guys think this season will premiere? I say August.
so what month do you guys think this season will premiere? I say August.
I assume they'll stick to their current cycle which would put it at the end of June/ beginning of July. Of course, with the ratings the way they've been, maybe we will see a shakeup.
Sort of like how Cancun premiered at the end of June? Man I can't wait.
I dont understand why bloggers havent been giving back 2 new orleans as much attention as they did brooklyn and DC. I know some are practically stalking the cast of the upcoming season of the BGC. I mean in the age of the viral internet I'm baffled that people havent pulled out there camera phones in clubs our taped them in the airport. I guess they really dont care about the real world. Social media and blogs can be essential in creating a buzz around a season. Hopefully MTV/BMP promotes the new season of the Real World as much have previous season of BGC and Jersey Shore, but I doubt it.
