the same person on twitter mentioned that the designers want to use their art and describes the house as amazing. i believe that a dc artist was asked in a similar fashion about a week or two before filming began.
so when is filming scheduled to start/end?
If I can remember correctly, Cancun started filming in early February of last year, so I'd assume they'll be moving in within the next 2 and a half weeks. That makes sense with the timeline, since it seems like they're still setting up production equipment and putting the finishing touches on the house.
If I can remember correctly, Cancun started filming in early February of last year
Actually, it was late January. The location story broke on January 26th and it was stated that they were already in the house and filming was underway.

Real World 24 is NOT filming now. I can honestly say I don't know and cannot give you the actual dates of filming but lets just say they are going to begin filming EXTREMELY soon within the next 2weeks. This will definitely be one of the best(party) seasons of RealWorld and if you cant tell already Real World DC cannot end soon enough. <-BORING zZz. They most likely will be living and hooking up in the "Baron Davis" household on duffosat st. I know some of you think that the focus on this season will be solely, Hurricane Katrina relief efforts...wrong again...this season IS a party-gras season and will be drunken drama left and right. <-Which does not mix well. Can't wait for all of us to just sit back hold tight and enjoy the show. And if this Jonna tweet rumor is true then she has no idea what's going all as well because they did not start filming on the 18th. I live in New Orleans and pass by that huge mansion on Duffosat st every day....no signs of life, just white vans and ladders.

Trust me...some of us do know what we're talking about. I posted that last week. I mean, I don't drive by the house every day, but isn't it Dufossat St? Not Duffosat St?
So the cast will probably be in before Mardi Gras?
So the cast will probably be in before Mardi Gras?
They will most definitely be in before Mardi Gras. They'd be stupid not to have them in before then. I would guess they'll be in sometime in the next week, most likely before next weekend.

Im too stoked! :) ...I know for a fact this cast will be out of this world!!
Tulane's student newspaper wrote an article about the season, saying that "production is currently searching the community for non-profit and volunteer organizations to engage during the show’s 24th season." I don't know if this means that they will be provided with a job, or if the cast mates will simply be given a list and be told to check them out on their own., but it further confirms the recovery theme associated with the season.
Er, whoa, what? Did I miss it? :p
Umm, Kind of...We were just doing some investigation on the next season and MIGHT be getting some info on some of the cast mates. The whole last page of posts got deleted...hmmm unless it was all a dream...might have gone a little too far with looking for these guys!

Anybody think the cast of Jersey shore will meet up with Real World because Pauly D is playing at the Boot Fri Feb 12 (Mardi weekend), and I know a guy who works there and he said that the Situation is coming too.
Anybody think the cast of Jersey shore will meet up with Real World because Pauly D is playing at the boot fri feb 12 mardi weekend, and I know a guy who works there and he said that the situation is coming too.
Are you sure?? The Boot is the local Tulane Beer Pub. I will double check, but I don't think they "do gigs"
I actually got the date wrong its on Thursday Feb 11. But yeah 100% positive its at the Boot. On Wed the 10th he will be at Bogies in Baton Rouge. During Mardi Gras the Boot has a lineup of bands. They extend the bar to outside and have a tent outside blocking off the street. FYI Dave Matthews' first performance in NOLA was at the Boot.
so we probably looking at August when this will premiere right old mold?
so we probably looking at August when this will premiere right old mold?
I have no idea.
Well they are in the house for three months right? Then two months go by while they edit it for TV. Did they use to stay in the RW house longer? Yeah we are looking at August. I think this is when when it will premiere. It all depends when FM2 comes out.
The first couple of seasons were 6 months then reduced to 3-4 Months
They need to go back to it being 6 months with 30 minute shows and stop trying to force material out of a 3-4 month stay into a hour long show.
They need to go back to it being 6 months with 30 minute shows and stop trying to force material out of a 3-4 month stay into a hour long show.
I completely disagree. I do not want to watch the same cast do the same stuff for 6 months. A 3 month run on TV is all I can handle out of the Real World. I think two episodes a week at 30 mins each would be great (instead of 1 hour long show) but I don't see them doing that at all, given they'd lose half their viewership who wouldn't be able to find, or wouldn't be around to watch the 2nd episode of the week. That being said, I could watch a challenge for 6 months. I could probably watch a challenge for an hour every week for 6 months.
I completely disagree. I do not want to watch the same cast do the same stuff for 6 months. A 3 month run on TV is all I can handle out of the Real World.
They were actually talking about a 6 month filming schedule, not length of airing the show, but how long the cast is in the house. So there is 6 months to build relationships and story archs and drama instead of a stunted 3 month. I would prefer the 6 month filming schedule also, but sadly I think that is out of the questions budget wise.
They need to go back to it being 6 months with 30 minute shows and stop trying to force material out of a 3-4 month stay into a hour long show.
Yes, thank god someone else has said it. The RW needs to go back to 30 minutes instead of an hour. They also add a bunch of non-sense to extend the show to an hour, it makes for water down television. They should def go back to the 7 cast members. I feel that having an 8 cast member ensemble makes for a less intimate atmosphere between the interacting cast and the connection the audiences have with the characters.

I hope history does not repeat itslef every time thre are are Two-African American Males they always seem to clash.

How cool would it be if they did a Reunited: New Orleans season as a segue into the New Orleans 2 season? The original 7 strangers move into the new house for two weeks. I know it's not gonna happen, just wishful thinking on my part.

I think Julie has more than overstayed her welcome with most of them, especially Melissa who called her out on the very first Challenge they did together. I did mean a 6 month shooting schedule like they used to do with 30 minute episodes which aired over 4 months. I'm fine with 8 cast members, especially if they do the 6 month filming. It allows things to grow and gives them more opportunity for material.
