They are also the ones active with the twitter accounts. Where's the harm? Well we're the enemy apparently.
I wouldn't watch it..seems like it would be boring
If it were like the Jersey Shore, it would be a train wreck. But if it was like a travel reality show, where they visited different places and did silly things, it could be watchable. Some people in their 30's are in their prime cool while others are over the hill--just depends on the casting.
I kept missing the casting calls, well because I dont recall them coming to MD in quite some time, I did however send in an audition tape for RW26. But someone who I had talked to had said that based on the normal trend of RW, that Las Vegas would have started filming twords the end of summer, and it would be ideal to send my tape end of summer. I sent my tape end of july/beginning of August and I don't think they had even started filming Las Vegas yet. I like to think that my tape may have arrived too early but I'm sure it was as simple as they didnt like me. lol dont think I'll be trying out this year! Good luck to everyone that does though! =)
I don't have a appropriate camera to make a casting tape. do anyone know when the open calls will start? I live in New York City.
Please let me know ASAP about the open casting calls! I already applied online but want to attend one of the open castings.

You will have to wait and check online regularly, as they will eventually appear on BMP's website.
Okay, thank you! :)

Why limit the pool of potential entertainers based on inane criteria? (I suspect the answer has something to do with demographics and advertising, which is a shame). Even if there was no casting process involved and you just picked 5-7 completely random people off the street to do a Real World, it would still be interesting (fights would probably happen because it's human nature). Even if it was the most boring season ever, I'd still enjoy it because sociology and psychology are fields I'm interested in and I like seeing what makes people tick as they respond to different stimuli.
They should redo the casting site where the whole cast is chosen by the viewers(basically make that the only way to apply),then people can't really get mad at the cast.

Can't take it out on the staff so they take it out on each other.

Apart from Ayiiia I have never ever seen the viewing public make an intelligent decision on any reality show ever.
Hey everyone. Cool site, been lurking for a few days now. Question to one of the more experienced RW casting finalists or anyone who got far into the process. I know it's not cool obviously to post my casting tape I'm making in any public thread if I want any chance of making it on the show, but I'm wondering if I could PM the youtube link to my video when it's uploaded to someoneand they could check it out and let me know what they think? I feel like for as much as you can predict as far as what they want out of people, I'd be a shoe-in personality wise. There's no telling of course what they're looking for this season, I know, but generally speaking. So can anyone help out?

Not saying you don't have a shot at making it, but from just a numbers/odds perspective...you and everyone else is the furthest away from a shoe-in.

I just meant I cannot imagine sending in my tape, and hearing nothing back at all. I can see myself making it a couple rounds easily, and of course that's pure speculation on my part but after seeing countless casting tapes on Youtube of people who got called, which many were some of the most horrendous videos ever compiled to try and showcase yourself; I just can't help but think I'll catch their eye at the very minimum I'm fully aware that the general details let alone the specifics of what they are looking for cannot be known by anyone. I dunno, call it a good feeling I have! Hahah, no one on the cast will have gotten there by doubting they could do so. I'll keep the hope alive lol

I saw they posted new casting calls. Are those the only 3 they're gonna be doing, or are they going to add different places too?
I saw they posted new casting calls. Are those the only 3 they're gonna be doing, or are they going to add different places too?
Let me ask my magic 8 ball... Or perhaps you should read this thread in its entirety, where just over a week ago I said this:
As far as I'm aware, no one on this board who posts in this thread works for BMP, so we have absolutely no idea when open casting calls would be.
Let me ask my magic 8 ball...
AKA your normal brain. But if these are the only 3, it does seem strange for one of the 3 places to be Arizona.

How can someone appear 20-24 ?, They might as well say 21 if the 20 year olds won't be allowed to drink, smh.
So they changed it to 20 years old. This should be an interesting casting process then. I can't wait for it. I agree with you Npresh24. They might as well change it to 21.
How can someone appear 20-24 ?, They might as well say 21 if the 20 year olds won't be allowed to drink, smh.
I know a bunch of people around 26-27 who could pass as being 20-22.
I know a bunch of people around 26-27 who could pass as being 20-22.
Notice they didn't put a maximum age...that could be interesting.
If they have the right to have The Producers do pretty much anything they want with your life story, including misrepresent it why is the age range is 20 to 24 up should up it pass 24
Notice they didn't put a maximum age...that could be interesting.
Yeah I saw that. I know they changed it during the casting process for San Diego. I remember from my casting call that around 6 of the 10 people in my group were 25-26. This opens up a wider pool of selection for castmembers. It would be a great storyline to see people who have started their lives in different careers, grad students, graduates still struggling to find jobs, etc.
If they have the right to have The Producers do pretty much anything they want with your life story, including misrepresent it why is the age range is 20 to 24 up should up it pass 24
Huh?
Huh?
Meaning if they have rights to misrepresent people why have a age range to be on the show and most of them don’t really have good stories to misrepresent? They have people what’s was 25-26 at a the casting call wow I am surprise they allow them to try out. The casting call I went to it was some people that was 25-26 and they say they couldn’t try out

I'm not quite sure I see why you're making a correlation between age and misrepresentation. Individuals can be misrepresented at any age and regardless of their respective story.
