Does anyone know if a cast mate got kicked out? Weird Anywho If anyone goes to the Austin one, I'll see you there!! =] Oh yeah and my personal opinion Jonah or whatever, she's ugly!! =] Byyeeee!!
Does anyone know if a cast mate got kicked out?
They would not generally have new casting calls for a season in progress. Instead, they would go to the bullpen. This is most likely for season 23.
Also, cancun is airing in June (coming up fast!) therefore the casting call is most likely the start of the casting for next season since they'd probably start filming in late summer/fall.
Then again when you go to the site and go to the upload a casting video page it does say "casting season 22." Weird
Then again when you go to the site and go to the upload a casting video page it does say "casting season 22." Weird
Yeah that is pretty weird. Maybe they just haven't updated that part of the site yet.
Their webmaster was in a coma since 1999 and now that he is up and about he is a bit slow with things...
Ok, I'm not sure if that was a joke or not. But I feel bad if that's a true statement because I sort of laughed. (Lord forgive me)
Well no matter what season it's for I'll be hitting the philly audition!
Well no matter what season it's for I'll be hitting the philly audition!
Good luck and have fun ;-)
Well no matter what season it's for I'll be hitting the philly audition!
Snapple, check your Private Messages. Thanks.
Ok, I'm not sure if that was a joke or not. But I feel bad if that's a true statement because I sort of laughed.
Haha, nah - that is just a little webmaster humor as if to imply their website is not up to modern standards. :D
They just made a major investment in HD technology. You can't expect them to actually buy good software and hire a competent webbie at the same time. BMP is well known as the cheapest of the major reality production houses.
Anyone else hitting up any of the casting calls? Since Philly is first I can at least inform all what the deal with it is.
Anyone else hitting up any of the casting calls? Since Philly is first I can at least inform all what the deal with it is.
I am going to the one in minnesota!! PLEASE let me know what it is like!!! Good Luck!!
Well actually if you're going to the one in MN we'll be in the casting call the same day! Also, this just in - its offical that it is for season 23 and not to fill a vacant spot in cancun. "MTV’s hit show THE REAL WORLD is looking for cast members for Season 23. To be considered for a spot as one of our lucky roommates, come on down to our OPEN CASTING CALL. Next season’s cast may have a place for you!" Voila...the man with many answers
Also, this just in - its offical that it is for season 23 and not to fill a vacant spot in cancun. Voila...the man with many answers
Didn't Bacchus answer that for you yesterday?
He gave his input stating it shouldn't be for 22 and ending with "This is most likely for season 23." I was just simply giving the proof to back up his statement and make it final.
Smart people interested in the casting process only talk about it by PM. BMP reads the internet and looks with disinterest at those who talk to much about their interest in the show. You will be asked about your Internet trail during casting. We have lots of experience with this, and none of it is good for those involved.
V, does the internet trail count if you were trying to promote yourself/ your friend if they were trying out for the online competition for season 22?
No, BMP expects those people to "ho" themselves out for votes. The expectation actually is that one who is cast online will probably not mesh with the people in the house, since historically cast member priorities lie elsewhere than the internet.
I saw this at MM Agency Blog:
The types of people between 18 and 24 years old most sought after for Real World number 23: Physically challenged or handicapped Obese or struggling with weight issues Going through the immigrant-to-citizenship process themselves or an immediate family member Was adopted via the foster-care system Grieving over the loss of a spouse or significant other Deeply passionate about a cause or social issue
Are we sure that's not a casting call for True Life??
If they do end up doing the next season in DC, they could be lobbying for certain causes, especially the immigration, foster care, and specific social issue/cause. I find this very strange as well though.
Well.... That's a complete 180 from previous seasons....
Perhaps, but it fits the scenario I laid out in December for DC to be season 23. It is the only location where it all works and Jon Murray really wants to have a season set in DC.
Are we sure that's not a casting call for True Life??
I would hope not. Most people who appear on True Life are exposed enough.
Would it be harder to get filming permits in D.C.? Also, how would they do a cast job (if they do those anymore) I just don't see any politicians agreeing to have castmembers of a reality show associated with them.

If they cast politically active people, I think the season job could be pretty interesting.

Given that the majority of new voters are under 25, smart politicians in DC and smarter lobbyists will fight over having someone work with them. I'd be happy to have one work with Vision 1 Media Group if there were not such a huge conflict of interest.
Thats true I wasn't thinking about all the new voters. I would think getting the cast a job working with lobbyists or a government agency would be easier. The reason why I don't see politicans agreeing is because of the risk of a bad edit. I mean imagine if a cast member displays the same behavior as he who shall not be named. That would reflect very badly on whatever politican they choose. Is it imposible for MTV to obtain a permit anywhere? Not using sarcasm just wondering.
Given that the majority of new voters are under 25, smart politicians in DC and smarter lobbyists will fight over having someone work with them.
Very true, but there are complications that I could forsee -- it's mostly the conservative politicians who need to reach out to younger people but given Jon Murray's liberal stance (as you stated before, he was unwilling to film in DC until GWB was gone) coupled with BMP's questionable editing practices that seem designed to create polarization that is favorable to one side (especially with Brooklyn), a smart politician might approach it with caution. At least the Republicans.
