I guess New Line Cinema wanted to remake it since they remade Friday the 13th. Kellan is awesome. Hope there's some good twists and turns. Is the actor playing Freddy a good actor?

I am so upset about this remake. I love Freddy Krueger. My email is [EMAIL="Fkrueger50@aol.com"][COLOR=#0000ff]Fkrueger50@aol.com[/COLOR][/EMAIL]... I grew up watching Freddy (yes I was a kid, but I still grew up watching him). It's not a complete remake... It will have similar aspects: Girl dreams of a killer and realizes it's real, mother tells her who he was and what happened to him... blah blah blah... They were casting for extras in Chicago for a pool party scene! (No pool party in the original nighmare on Elm Street, there was a pool party scene in Nightmare 2, which was awesome!) In Fangoria they showed a few pics where Haley (alive, not burnt) was walking in an elementary school playground, sporting the famous Freddy fedora. I saw him in Little Children with Kate Winslet, Jennifer Conelly and Patrick Wilson and he gave me the creeps, but he is no Robert Englund. Robert Englund is Freddy Krueger. Plain and simple!

I loved Haley in Watchmen!

Me too OPD. He stole that movie. I think he has it in him to make Freddy work.

I will be thinking about Robert Englund everytime I see the new Freddy all made up... So it will definitely be difficult for me to watch. Haley did give me the major creeps in Little Children and did a great job in Watchmen.
