Not quite sure what your dying over. She was removed over storytelling and narrative reasons, they decided it didn't make sense to introduce MJ into the franchise yet. Despite the cut, Shailene has received praise from Sony, director Marc Webb, and would-be co-star Andrew Garfield on her performance in the scenes that were filmed.

First Class was really good... Days of Future Past was just meh... had a lot of nothing goin on... like so many characters but no real substance or good action sequences (but then again I haven't seen all of the x-men movies so i'm no expert)
I still don't know how I feel about all of this. I don't think the movie should've been made to begin with as I think a movie depicting the murder of a still living person is a little morally corrupt...even if it's meant to be parody and satire. I've made this comment to my friends and gotten a HOW CAN YOU COMPARE THEM response, which obviously shows they don't get the point but if another country made a movie about murdering Obama, even if it was jokey, I think we as a country would go NUTS. We got a guy fired from his job of however many years based on a political cartoon because the word "watermelon" was involved in a comic about Obama. Free speech is obviously something we only care about when the speech is something we don't mind hearing.
At the same time I do think it's a dangerous precedent about being afraid. Now anyone who doesn't like the content of a movie can threaten a terror attack and have some power. It's important to take precaution and put peoples lives over stroking Hollywood's ego, but it's a slippery slope.
I think anybody who sees this movie needs their ******* head examined. Its ridiculous. Who the hell made this move needs to be slapped the hell out. Its worse than Tommy Boy.
And yeah we will go nuts because people maybe small in numbers already don't like us so a movie like this in place of Obama is cause for concerned. The Interview is made by Seth Rogen & Evan Goldberg. They make all kinds of funny *** movies & I am definitely seeing the Interview if I get a chance. So I guess I need my ****** head examined haha.

The point being you don't get to go waving the "freedom of speech" card around only when it's convenient. There are certain types of speech that aren't protected by the Constitution...but everything else is fair game. Some of it may be stupid, ignorant, whatever else, but you can't arbitrarily say yes to some and no to others. Hollywood and the media are hypocritical in that they are now crying foul that they're speech is being stifled, despite human lives potentially being at stake, yet opinions that they don't like should be shut down. Can't have it both ways.
my thoughts on the matter: If you play with fire, you get burned... and that's how a little pothead comedy about the assassination of an actual nation's current leader backfires on you. Sony was stupid to have that movie produced in the first place. Sure, sure "freedom of speech"... but that doesn't mean freedom of consequences. And now backing down from the release? letting a small nation control your every move? The fact that NK took it as a threat is laughable... so is the fact that the movie was ever made. w/e

I mean this is pretty much my position as well. I agree that the movie should not have been greenlighted from jump. But now that it's done, stand by what you made. I only took issue with the Hollywood reaction because, especially in that industry, the sentiment seems to be pro-free speech so long as the free speech agrees with the narrative that Hollywood believes in. Everything else is fine to silence. I like freedom of speech across the board because it a) exposes you to a viewpoint that you may not normally get that you can possibly learn from and b) exposes the idiots.
People, don't even bother watching Left Behind. My sister rented it, and I knew it was probably going to be bad, but man it was atrocious. First of all it has Nicholas Cage in it (ew), and even though the premise is kinda interesting, the acting by everyone is horrible and the script is horrible.
I have been waiting on this horror movie from James Wan to come out forever & they finally released the trailer. If there are any horror fans on this site I recommend checking out the creepy trailer for the movie Demonic.

I saw Top Five last night. It was honestly one of the best movies I've seen this year. I loved everything about it.

Went to see that in theatres Sunday but it was sold out! Ended up getting dragged to Into the Woods. I hate musicals.
