Anyone looking forward to If I stay?
And think that the Giver movie isn't going to be very good?
Just saw an advanced screening of The Giver today... it was pretty good!! pretty short and the plot is very thin.. but I enjoyed it. Starts off pretty slow but definitely picks up... I felt the ending was pretty abrupt though. And thank god t-swift was only in like 1 minute.. not even haha
Ben Affleck on ‘Batman V Superman’ & Superheroes as American Myths
“It’s great that people do care that much. They want to see the movie that much. And it is incumbent on you to honor the story. There are the Greek myths and these are the American myths. The American myths are these superheroes. People care about ‘em a lot. And it’s incumbent on you to do a good job and make it as excellent as you possibly can. At the end of the day, the movie’s all that matters.”
Kind of an interesting concept, that superheroes are the "American Myth". I like that idea, a lot actually!

Thank God. He hasn't made a decent one since the first. Four started off with a decent human story, but they sacrificed it for too much unnecessary bang bang pow. He honestly may as well finish the job with 5 & 6, so I can come along, reboot it, and make the franchise into something worth watching.
I saw both Lucy and The Giver last night.
Loved both of them.
I feel like Lucy could have ended with Morgan freeman giving a speech about what Lucy left him but it was still good nonetheless.
The Giver I think could have added 5 extra minutes to tell what happened with Gabriel and Jonas..

Taylor Swift went up in my book when she did the song WANEGBT.
I don't know where to put this, but so upset about the apparent suicide of Robin Williams. What a talent :(
Supposedly he had first stages of Parkinson's disease and alledgely killed himself because he didn't want people to know according to his wife.
I am but not right away. Also, I'm watching Undercover Brother while waiting for Scary Movie to come on and it sucks. Like why the hell did most of the big stars do that movie (Undercover Brother, I mean). Especially James Brown and Denise Richards. And whatever happened to Chris Kattan?
Watching Good Will Hunting tonight in honor of Robin Williams. It's been about 15 years since I've seen it. I'd forgotten how good it is!
Bonus: those sexy accents...

Star Wars itself isn't why I'm posting this, but more so because of the use of practical effects and how they're making a resurgence in the film world. I love practical effects! And I'm really excited that Jurassic World will be using them instead of completely CGI!
I love movies :love_heart:

This franchise has really lost its appeal, but the premise for Dead Men Tell No Tales sounds promising enough.

Hopefully the distinction part is that there merged together and call it a day.

Word, I second that.
Has anyone ever seen Save The Last Dance?
The first one yeah. Question to spill tea has anybody watched the wretched new Step Up? Its a friggin continuation of Step 4 revolution. Original, hunh? Honey 2 was awful as well.
Apart from the first one, the Step Up franchise sucks, with the second one being decent. The dances are not even that original, and the acting is pretty mediocre.
That studio is shady as all hell. Bring it On constantly goes to DVD (3rd being the best next to 1) but SU continues to go to theaters and not even performing well at all.
Did anybody see TMNT? Talk about a screw over.

The first Bring It on was great, but I didn't like the others that much. Still, it didn't made sense to release the sequels on dvd only, at least releaae the second one on the theaters. As for Step Up, I was watching the last one (not by choice lol) and they rip off a LOT of dance moves from ABDC.
I haven't watch TMNT yet and have no intentions on watching it.
I watched Guardians of the Galaxy yesterday, and man that movie was phenomenal. It quickly became my favorite Marvel movie, followed closely by Captain America: The Winter Soldier.

Step up 1 turned into a real life love story as well bw Jenna and Channing ;)

Great question! Personally, I think the answer is yes. I'm experiencing a bit of superhero fatigue, they're everywhere. That isn't to say I'm not excited for a few upcoming superhero films, like Ant-Man (Paul Rudd is going to make for a hilarious hero!), but there are 40+ DC & Marvel movies planned over the next 6 years. Overkill much?

Director Colin Trevorrow had the best comment:
“What if, despite previous disasters, they built a new biological preserve where you could see dinosaurs walk the earth…and what if people were already kind of over it? We imagined a teenager texting his girlfriend with his back to a T-Rex behind protective glass. For us, that image captured the way much of the audience feels about the movies themselves. ‘We’ve seen CG dinosaurs. What else you got?’ Next year, you’ll see our answer.”
