I was flipping through the channels and caught a 30 second clip of the show. The Asian girl was flipping out about not getting a lead because she was a junior and some other girl was trying to console her by saying that she will get the lead next year when the asian girl is a senior.
I just wanted to say that I see this happen ALL THE TIME!!! It sucks. It really does.
And when senior year rolls by, they don't get casted. I don't watch this show, but I bet that will happen.
Thoughts?
Caught the premiere of TGP today. Seems like they have way more people than last time. A blind guy trying to learn dance choreography was odd.
I'm not sure how I feel abut any of these people. My guess is that I'll watch the first few episodes and then forget about it.

Well first off, this storyline will probably never be brought up again because Tina (Asian girl) isn't really that important of a character. They weren't arguing over a certain "part". Tina just wanted a solo since Rachel gets them all the time- due to the fact that she's the main character. Obviously Tina will sing more next year since she's the best girl singer the glee club has left since Mercedes, Santana, Quinn, and Rachel are gone.

Gone from the high school but not gone from the show, so I expect her to sing less now that the cast is fragmented into different cities assuming she doesn't get dropped to the recurrent character position or the twice a season guest star status. I haven't seen anything to make me think that Chord Overstreet's status with the show changed for the better and Damien McGinty seems to have no idea either about his, so I expect to see McKinley to replace Breadsticks as the occasionally used set on the Rachel & Kurt Extravaganza and Medicine Show.
I read something the other day that the episodes might go back and forth between NYC with Rachel and Kurt and Ohio with everyone at McKinley.
Did I miss something? What is Kurt doing in New York? He did get rejected from NYADA, right?

That's what I saw when I watched the finale. They would change the storyline to where Kurt goes to NY anyway and him and Rachel are BFF.

I actually really hope that they devote complete episodes to them. I will just skip them.

Yes but his dad said he will support him in whatever he wants to do. If I were betting, my money is that it will shake out something like this:
1. Rachel will be in NYC in the dorms at school; Kurt and Finn and maybe Mike will end up sharing some small apartment in Brooklyn or Harlem struggling to make it while struggling to pay the bills (there was a rumor they were considering a reality show story for season 4 so that might work in there somehow);
2. Beast and Puck will end up starting over together in LA and show up occasionally in eccentric comedic stories.
3. Santana and Brittany will stay together either in Lima or St. Louis(or was it Louisville)? (which I read somewhere is a city for season 4) with the same sort of infrequent comedic stories; and
4. Everybody else who stays will be in and about Lima, focusing mainly of Sue-Will-Emma-NeNe stories. I have heard Ne Ne will be back in Season 4. I have read no confirmations regarding any of the current juniors coming back, but I have heard that the bad guy from Dalton Sebastian will still be around and they have been looking to cast a good-guy Dalton gay which makes me think Blaine is gone.
They've finally spilled on more of the mentors for season 2 of TGP:

I won't be surprised if ratings drop because of the move.

Might go up. I think Ryan Murphy or someone of that clan said in an interview that S4 will be a lot less theatrical and have a completely different feel from S1-3. I am guessing they will have a lot fewer musical asides and more performances within the storylines--like auditions and such.
I know that Broadway is Rachel and Kurts thing but I don't think its going to appeal to the audience.
I like group performances such as "Somebody to love, or "We are Young", and even when they jammed out to "Ride with me" during season 1.The only time I liked broadway was one Rachel belted out don't rain on my parade (is that even broadway?). That gave me chills..
I just don't like the direction the show is going. It would cool if they went all went college and appeared every now then like on Degrassi. I don't know..

I am anticipating that it will be more like them struggling with school/bills than being on stage on Broadway. As far as I know, they are probably just now starting to put together some storylines to start scripting the early episodes of the season if history is any guide so its all speculation at this point.
I knew the results of the elimination on TGP this week as soon as they showed the topic.
If I recall right, they didn't send anybody home last season on this week.
I really wasn't happy about it. It just slows down the process even more.
I actually just went back and looked it up and the first Season did have someone eliminated during the week of "Vulnerability."
The non-elimination stage was right before the finale.

Who did they send home? I would have bet money that was the week they gave people the pass (yes I am too lazy to go look for it myself)
I don't mind them having a free week because it sets up a potential double elimination down the road (though I think the blind guy needed to go home because he is a jerk and his "classically trained" voice was all over the place).

Emily, the stone cold *****.
I find it strange that they are using Dianna Agron for "Actability", but ok...

I debated where to put it so we can share the jail cell I guess (but I get the top bunk :) )
I think the performers on this season are mostly really good vocally.
Sorry I thought once it airs it is no longer a spoiler based upon the 80 plates thread
It depends on the show as there are not clearly stated specific thread rules (which can be an issue.)
Real World, Survivor and Big Brother are generally spoil as you go live ET. Less watched shows like 80 plates and at times Top Chef often follow a morning after rule (although I tend to avoid those threads once the show airs as there could be spoilers.)
Clearly we need a more comprehensive set of site wide rules concerning the release of what may be considered spoilers. Being this is not a thread I follow, I assume it is up to the implied discretion of the participants.
