What I got from this episode.... Wes is truely an *** and he doesnt even realize it. I really like Danny. I think he's a pretty cool guy. I wish the Fresh Meat had more of a say in these challenges, its kind of [strike]annoything[/strike] annoying that they dont. I dont really like Jenn anymore, I used to love her. CJ is extremely boring. I LOVE Carley. I extremely dislike Jillian and Pete so much. I have never liked Jillian but Pete held himself up so high after beating Danny and Sandy, when he barely beat him and the only reason he did was because of Sandy not Danny. Jillian has just annoyed me with her attitude since Gauntlet 3, and I really hate Frank so shes got a double negative in my book. Oh and I hate Kenny and Laurel too.
Full of love today, aren't we?

Its not like Pete was talking trash after. And Jillian slowed down Pete too, just like Sandy slowed down Danny. I really dont understand what you expect Pete to do after winning an exile.
Sydney and CJ haven't exactly earned the right to be called stronger than Danny and Sandy. All they did was go into an exile with a guaranteed victory. And Wes and Evelyn decide to put in Danny, their friend for about 3 or more years over two rookies they've never met before and don't bring much to the alliance. And Danny wasn't even *****ing about going in, all he wanted was to compromise and go against Ryan and Theresa but they didn't even give him that, instead they put him against exile veterans. And Danny still isn't mad at Wes.
I'm not saying anything bad about Danny. I agree with everything you said about Danny....I just disagree that he got screwed over. He had every chance of beating Jillian and Pete....and almost did. My point is, when looking at it from an alliance standpoint...you don't want to risk losing Evelyn/Luke or Landon/Carley since they have the best shot of knocking off Kenny/Laurel. So scratch them. Next...CJ/Sydney...just went in. Despite the fact that they didn't have to really compete, they were voted in with the idea of going in against Pete/Jill before Katelynn came hobbling in. So yes, if you continue to vote them in, Wes is right...they will change sides. You don't want to lose 2 votes and allow Kenny to gain 2 more at this point. Now it's down to Wes/Mandi and Danny/Sandy....from there, I think it'd be fair for either of them to go in. Tonight it was Danny/Sandy...and they lost...sucks for them...but I don't see anything unfair about it.
Danny is probably a bigger man I would have been in that situation especially the betrayal from allies. wasn't Wes saying last challenge that whoever goes in should get to choose the man in the sand and he tried making that argument to enemies of his (kenny). Good to know he is understanding.

I think people are saying Danny got screwed, not because he went in.. but because they wouldn't let him pick who he wanted to go against.

It is interesting to me, and even Darrell mentioned it in the aftershow how he didn't understand it. Does anyone recall when this new way of playing actually started, I think, but am not sure, that it started last season when Wes came back to the challenges, am I right?

And personally, from a viewers point of view, they are boring as **** to watch, atl east Danny was good enough to have 2 episodes centered around him :P
I don't think most people who are annoyed by JEK are annoyed because they are together as friends and look out for each other. Maybe if someone is competing better than them in a team challenge, and they are trying to get rid of them. People get annoyed with them because they demean or throw challenges to get rid of decent competitors or act like jerks, etc. I don't really think Wes made the smartest choice for his alliance. I think Wes got rid of someone who he could have trusted, actually. Danny is his best friend, so I think he could have relied more on him (for voting and power and such) than someone like Ryan, for example. And I think Wes and Ev plotting openly to put people from their alliance into the exile could crumble their alliance. CJ and Landon have already lost some trust for them. Sure, at some point the Wes alliance will have to go against each other, but I don't think the way they have gone about it is necessary.

Am I the only one who wants to punch Luke in the face whenever he talks in a confessional?
Am I the only one who wants to punch Luke in the face whenever he talks in a confessional?
No, I'll second that one. Evelyn is my favorite cast member on this and it's a little disappointing to me that she didn't even get to choose her partner. But I guess I can thank Jonna for even giving her the chance to be there in the first place ;)
Now, I'll give ya that one.
He wasnt just taking his turn in the exile. He was being put it and his control was taken away. Everyone voted him in thinking that he would lose. They wanted him to go home. Thats why he was both screwed and betrayed by his best friend. It was shady. I would have reacted like Danny. I would have wanted my best friend to tell me why he would rather I go home.. than CJ.

I'm not saying Luke is that terrible athletic-wise...but imagine if Evelyn could have been paired up with someone like Pete or Noor. now THAT'D be a pair that could actually kick Kenny and Laurel to the ground.
Love that Ev said her and Wes did everything they could for Danny, really everything, I didn't see them do anything.

Danny got such a good edit this episode. I think he actually seemed really sweet and likable this time! :)
I'm hoping to Wes and Danny doing another challenge together and Danny joins the side to get Wes out.
I'm hoping to Wes and Danny doing another challenge together and Danny joins the side to get Wes out.
Won't happen. Danny even said at the end of the episode he'd still do anything for Wes. Looks like some people don't let RW/RR challenges get in the way with real life. That can't be said for most cast members...so kudos to Danny.
I would like to see that but he seems to have integrity and probably wouldn't turn on his friend. After this elimination and his last one Danny has actually become pretty good in these competitions. Had he not went agianst some of the best on the respective season he probably would have won.
I've never looked at Danny as a bad competitor. In the two elimination rounds he was involved with in the past it came down to speed. On Inferno 3, he went up against Davis. On Gauntlet 3, Adam. Both a lot quicker than Danny. In a head to head Gauntlet/Inferno...speed costs you. In an Exile, you need strength and endurance and I believe Danny has that...and he showed that tonight. EDIT: I forgot about the Ruins. Who did he lose to? I forget.
I'm sure I'll be the 100th person to say this but I'm sick of Kenny and Laurel winning everything... and NO it's not just because it's Kenny. If Landon and Carley or Evelyn and Luke or anyone else kept winning, I'd be getting annoyed too. It's more exciting when other people win.

Danny didn't do the worst on this season but he didn't do the best. After this season I think he is more of a middle of the pack guy. Maybe on the lower end of that though.

And we get to see the alliance start to crumble.
We would probably get to see that further down the road anyway... It's getting down to the wire, and they're going to have to throw someone from their alliance in sometime.
A couple of things I want to say here, first im gonna throw it out there Laurel is dominating Ev on this show, there I said it. Yea I know Ev goes first, all im sayin is Kenny and Laurel won when they went first the mission after Landon won....against kenny and laurel in the final no less. And to be honest, winning a FM challenge is all about who the strongest girl is. Second, Landon is one of the strongest guys to do these challenges, its true, but do not give him superman status like people did with Wes on the Ruins. Remember, this is a guy who almost lost to Dan from Miami on a climbing elimination, his specialty. Third, fine if wes wants to throw in Danny, but he did not even let Danny get to go against Ryan, which he probably would have won. That was the shadier part for me. Ryan is in the middle right now to stay alive but when push comes to shove in probably the next round of voting, Ryan will have Kenny's back. So that buffer is gonna run out quickly. Add that to the fact that Danny is his best friend, and it just makes me feel dirty. Finally, I dont really like Kenny that much, mainly from past challenges (not how he played it but how he treated women) but cmon, Wes's ego is far beyond Kenny's and where kenny is aware of it and makes a joke out of it, Wes is completely oblivious to his ego. And I know Wes outside of the show does not act like that, its just for the camera, its impossible that he acts like that outside of the show cause if he did he would not have a single friend in the world.
For the first time ever I actually liked Danny in this episode and felt sorry for him. He tried his *** off in the exile and was doing everything he could to motivate Sandy, and had they been a few seconds faster, would have taken out a strong team. Had Danny taken Sandy's weight, like Pete did with Jillian, they might have pulled off the upset. Danny didn't seem bitter about it and was a very good sport after the Exile, and it was nice to see him say that he still would always be there for Wes. **** now we're all sympathetic towards the lug...maybe knowing that him and Melinda are done had something to do with it. I actually wouldn't mind seeing him again now. Hey Jillian, whenever you decide to stop pulling a Casey in all the missions, we would love to see it. You're lucky your partner grabbed your weight in the exile. Sick of Kenny and Laurel winning, but in all honesty, if CJ, Wes, or Landon had Laurel as their partner, they'd be cleaning house too. And I'm not just saying that because I don't like Kenny. She is far and away the best of the FM girls, to the point that it's getting ridiculous and I don't think it would matter who she was paired with. Still feel like they'll falter somewhere down the line. CJ and Landon now remain the only teams who I want to win.
Second, Landon is one of the strongest guys to do these challenges, its true, but do not give him superman status like people did with Wes on the Ruins. Especially considering that he's dominated seasons in a way Wes never has. Top 3 challenger = superman status. It's not personal with the Ryan/Danny thing, it is purely from a game standpoint. Everyone seems to be in agreement that they want to keep Ryan/Theresa around as long as they can, because they think that if Ryan/Theresa make the final 4, it guarantees them money since they think they'll be able to beat them in the final.
Let's see last week Danny is a big idiot and this week everyone feels sorry for him. The truth is if they were really that great of friends, none of this would be happening, but Danny's actions multiple times have put a big target on his back. Whining about not being carried to the finals by your "friend" and then getting beat by another weak team shows he doesn't belong there. If not for Wes, Danny would've probably been gone weeks ago.
