I think the whole challenge they should have had different partners for each mission. Everything is so predictable. I guess they throw us a curve ball in the finale, but still doesn't save the sucky editing.
Always a helpful reminder. Just a hunch TJ, maybe there are portions of the final where you need your partner, which is why it could be detrimental to have Aneesa.
When would it not be detrimental to have Aneesa as one's partner?
When would it not be detrimental to have Aneesa as one's partner?
True, but she hasn't done as terrible in the missions as I expected. The finale will change that for one though.
True, but she hasn't done as terrible in the missions as I expected. The finale will change that for one though.
She must be the ultimate annoyance. She wins duels and eliminations like crazy yet sucks badly in final challenges and anything having to do with endurance.
Brad is fully aware in every waking moment that he is on a TV show. It is one of the reasons he is such a likable character to so many people. He knows when to appear worried and vulnerable. At the Duel Reunion taping he talked at length about Beth being so good for MTV's ratings because of her ability to play the role needed; but, he was also talking about himself in the same context. When you see the final episode, I'll be expecting many, "Oh, Brad, we feel your pain" comments here at vevmo. And I'll probably say, "And the Oscar goes to..."
So are you saying Brad is not as nice as he seems and is acting for the camers.
So are you saying Brad is not as nice as he seems and is acting for the camers.
That is not at all my suggestion. I'm saying that he knows there is an audience present and he is doing his best to be entertaining within the context of the challenge. I applaud the fact that he thinks about real people at home watching him months later. I think he is a class act. The fact that I've not always agreed with his choices is irrelevant.
Ok, so tonight is the new episode. Does anyone know who wins today's challenge? I know for guys it's not Derek or Evan so that leaves Brad, MJ, Landon and Mark as possible winners. For girls, it's not Jenn or Diem so that leaves Aneesa, Britt, Rachel, Tori as possible winners For the guys, I have a feeling Mark wins because Derek was dying to call him out. If Mark wins he can't call him out. He chooses Evan, that's my guess.
Last night's episode was a sad performance by Derek. I'm not sure how he made it so far into the game. Also, who goes home first, Tori or Diem, in the next episode?
Last night's episode was a sad performance by Derek im not sure how he made it so far into the game. Also who goes home 1st Tori or Diem? in the next episode.
Diem goes first.
Diem goes first.
K does anyone know who Diem loses to? Annessa?
K does anyone know who Diem loses to? Annessa?
"K?" Could you please make the slightest effort to be literate? Do you ever check your Personal Messages?
How in the world was Rachel left with Evan?
Honestly friend, I believe that the pairings for the Final Challenge will be based off of performance in the last individual challenge prior. This means, I think Rachel and Evan will be winners of the last individual challenge and Mark and Brittani will come in 2nd. This will leave Brad, Landon, Tori, and Aneesa left for the duels. As spoiler information shows that Brad and Aneesa are winners of the duel, they will be forced to be partners at some point of the Final Challenge. The mere fact that Landon goes to the last duel is an obvious indidcation that he was not able to compete at 100%, because he has clearly smoked the competition in all of the challenges thus far imo, and was unbeatable. While I like Brad, the kid has a lucky charm in his pocket to be able to get to the Final Challenge. Duel 1, he got smoked by CT, and this time, he faces a 25% capable Landon. Rachel, I have to give her props for playing a smart game and keeping a somewhat low profile. I agree with her focus to play the game the way she has. Not sparing Jenn was a good move imo, and she benefitted from a fluke Kim victory over Ruthie in the Back Off. Kim outsmarted Ruthie, thus we see the competitors of that Duel now starting from a middle circle. She kept close the 1 person that could have taken her out in a duel - Aneesa. Amid the love triangle crap, she played both sides to keep her place and not upset Aneesa. Rachel is a good enough competitor to win a challenge given the lack of an Evelyn or Jodi there.

Back off is Brad's kind of game Landon wants like Spot on or Duel Pole Dancing. give Brad some credit and it's yet to be proven that Landon get's injured.

And Landon's blog about his injury. Brad is strong but not enough to take out a completely healthy Lando.
Brad is strong but not enough to take out a completely healthy Lando.
True, thats why I am not giving Brad credit for beating Lando.

Meanwhile, let's take a closer look at Brad's recent resume in elimination matchups in decending order Brad vs CT - Push Me; CT gets to the flag in under 10 seconds. Remember they are both on opposite sides of a 15' pole, so CT drove him a considerable distance in a rather brief amount of time. Brad won on a disqualification that I still think was kinda lame. Brad vs Eric - Pole Wrestle - Duel 1; He beat Eric, but from Eric's atheletic prowless or lack thereof, anyone could have manuvered him, and Brad struggled for 12 minutes to take him Brad vs Abram - Balls In - I2; Abram smokes Brad in a football/wrestling inferno where you are basically playing offender and defender. Brad vs Derrick - Beach Brawl or NTC - G2; Derrick soundly takes down Brad and it wasn't close. This is the same Derrick that lost to Wes in Pole Wrestle and Timmy in Reverse Tug Of War. No offense to none of these competitors, but on past challenges, no one has dominated a tougher field like Landon has thus far in the individual challenges. He has won every single one, and all of them have required both strength and endurance. Brad has done respectable in the challenges, but he as of now is perhaps 4th or 5th best among the men. Him beating Landon in that Duel was a result of circumstance. It is hard to wrestle with 1 arm and 1 sore shoulder.
"Your done!! Your done!! Ahhhh!" That is all I will say about that one.
"Your done!! Your done!! Ahhhh!" That is all I will say about that one.
Yeah, that was classic. Even funnier than that was before the Duel, Ct says "He's a bonewreak and he's got no legs, that's why I picked Push Me". Then he says, "I have more stamina, I'm bigger, I'm stronger.... it's just a matter of time before he quits" - I expected some sort of contest, but in 5seconds, CT was already at the flag. Anyway, I think Brad is a decent challenger competitor, but he had a free ride to the Final of all 6 that made it. He didn't Duel until the last one against an injured opponent, he didn't win any individual competitons or team, nor did he do anything except help manipulate a list. He played a quiet game, and man as much as people loathe CT, I wish he had kept his head because he would have at least disrupted this alliance, and perhaps encouraged someone to take on Brad, Rachel, and Mark earlier.

And just because Landon has owned this entire challenge, doesn't mean that he is Superman and can never lose. And if CT was still on this challenge, I think unless he won the missions, a lot of people would be calling him out. And I think a lot of this show would have played out differently.

I think early on would have been a possibility, but after smashing someone in a Push Over Duel or a Back Off, people like Evan and Brad would have jumped back. not to give CT too much credit, but he can climb as well as his unmatched strength. Those Duels don't have DQ technicalities like Duel 1 had. Spot On would have been anyone's chance to take him, but the other 4 duels, he would be a tough out. Take a look - sorry tj Evan has won 3 duels, but The Elevator duel was close against Nehemiah. Same for MJ vs Dunbar, Ryan vs Nick. CT is a much stronger competitor than the 3 losers mentioned and would have easily smoked everyone in the Duel minus a Mark or a Lando. Push Over - forget it, same as Back Off. Most competitors have shown a fear about going in, let alone wanting to face someone they are uncertain they could beat. The only one that I think towards the end that may have tried to take CT on is Landon.

What do you mean by "sorry, TJ"? I know Evan can't take CT or Landon.

Mark basically lets Evan win if he allows Evan to team up with Rachel who has been Mark's partner since day 1.

It came down to the final ball and Brad missed it was 3-2 Abram. 2nd Derrick was a punk on Gaulet 2 everytime he picked Beach Brawl but captian's choice vs Brad he picks name that coconut cause he knew Brad would have smoked him in Beach Brawl and Brad beat Big Easy easily when CT was scared to face easy on Duel 1 and Brad beat CT yes it was by dq but Brad could of just gave up and let CT win but he shook the pole just enought to get CT to not unclip the flag. Im saying Brad is better then Landon im just saying in the Back Off Duel i think Brad is stronger then Landon and Landon would have wanted something like Spot on.
How do you know? You haven't seen the final mission yet. Unless you work for BMP/MTV. I don't think CT would have taken a healthy Landon.
Lando would've given CT a run for his money.

A healthy Landon would have beat Brad in any duel. If it wasn't for the injury, I'm convinced Landon would have won first place.
Just like Brad i think CT would smoke Landon CT is to big for Landon. Landon is a guy that does well in challenges but in a duel situation can be beat. Also Landon was going to go home anyway becuase Mark,Evan and Brad were the aillance and they basically kept Landon to the end then took him out.

And as for CT smoking Landon because CT is "bigger?" Just look at Derrick, you might wanna rethink that.
