She grows on me every show she does...
I actually like Shauvon too. I thought it was funny during the mission she wore glasses into the gas chamber. Yes maybe she needed them to see the numbers/letters, but I personally like to think she thought they'd blocked the gas from her eyes lol.
I still don't get why so many people can't stand her. Yeah, she's a sucky competitor, but so is Brooke and people love her!!!
Yeah but Brooke is hilarious in her crazy. Shauvon is just kind of sad.
Yeah but Brooke is hilarious in her crazy. Shauvon is just kind of sad.
Absolutely agree. I don't really like Shauvon........but I do feel sorry for her. I know that pretty much everybody on these shows drinks too much but with her it's always kind of come across like she has an actual serious problem with alcohol. It also doesn't help that pretty much everybody on these shows seem to make fun of her nonstop (I'm not saying she doesn't sometimes bring it on herself though, lol).

Yeah the gas would've more than likely dried out her eyes, and contacts in quick fashion causing lots of eye problems.
i think she wears contacts but was not allowed due to the tear gas...
I know, but my logic is just more fun to think:yes:
Yeah the gas would've more than likely dried out her eyes, and contacts in quick fashion causing lots of eye problems.
Actually, I think the issue is that tear gas would get trapped behind the contacts and cause continued irritation. We weren't allowed (supposed to) wear contacts to anatomy lab for that reason.

We weren't allowed (supposed to) wear contacts to anatomy lab for that reason.
I think you're right. Like you said, in any science lab youre not supposed to wear them because if any chemical got behind them, you wouldn't be able to wash it out using an eyewash like you usually would. I personally don't have any problems with Shauvon though, she said she really worked out for this challenge, but I think we need a physical mission to base that off of.

I don't know. In the one scene I remember of her in the chamber, she didn't look to be super affected by the gas like some people. But maybe she could have been and they didn't show that part. I think she is OK. I feel like I kind of take up for her a bit because of how she was treated on her first challenge (and a bit on the second one as well). She kind of seems like a harmless person (I say this not having seen her season). I understand people being annoyed by how she competes, though.

On her season she was pretty much the same, bubbly, likes to drink and flirt, and she fought with Isaac and Cohutta and threw a glass/drink at him. And surprisingly, she left that season early as well lol.
I've grown to like her, love the drama she brings - I want her back. <3
I've grown to like her, love the drama she brings - I want her back. <3
Same here, and I want to see her actually compete. I mean, next time she's on a challenge they need to make the first or second challenge something like Giraffic Park-like so we can see how she does, just in case she leaves early again lol.
Lol or the Spelling Challenge heights and brains..poor Shauvon.
Lol or the Spelling Challenge heights and brains..poor Shauvon.
Lol my suggestion was serious, yours was just cruel:biggrin:
lol sorry Shauvon's cool, I did feel sad for her on this Challenge and on the Ruins, girls crying period make me sad for them.
Yeah, I laughed throughout the entire thing, except the scene they showed of her in the ambulance, clutching her arms to her chest, and crying. I hate when people cry, I get so upset!
Shauvon didn't really drag the gray team down, only in the [strike]thrid[/strike] third [strike]misson[/strike] mission she screwed up, in the gas chamber she did [strike]extrelmy[/strike] extremely well, the second one she didn't even compete. If you paid attention [strike]durning[/strike] during the [strike]thrid[/strike] third [strike]misson[/strike] mission if Shauvon would have just jumped off, the gray team still [strike]wouldve[/strike] would've lost because Ayiiia BARELY made onto the bed. So I think that [strike]misson[/strike] mission was meant to be lost [strike]my[/strike] by the gray team.
honestly, I think she's a nice girl and seems fairly smart, actually, when she's not a drunken mess. However, I think that she, like Casey, Katie and others, sucks athletically. Some people are just not good athletes. Remember those kids in gym class who you never wanted on your team because they sucked and would mess up even the simplest things? That's them. I think that athletic ability and eye-hand coordination is something you develop as a kid, by playing sports. & if you dont do it, then your eye-hand coordination will probably suck as an adult.
If I were a team captain, she would be one of the first females I picked. She is spunky which can help motivate a team even if she is not an ubberathlete. I would rather have the right dynamics on my team than the very best athletes going at it all the time, but that's just me.

With her on my team i'd have a better shot of not being sent in 1st....
I would pick her too, but for different reasons. With her on my team i'd have a better shot of not being sent in 1st....
Yeah that is why Ryan Kehoe would be my first male pick....

But she messes up mission after mission and is, many times, responsible for the loss.
Yeah that is why Ryan Kehoe would be my first male pick....
I'd pick a team of people that suck AND hate eachother. Then i won't have to worry about them banning together against me :)

I think she could be decent if she actually tried, especially in faceoffs. She didn't do terrible against Aneesa.
I think she could be decent if she actually tried, especially in faceoffs. She didn't do terrible against Aneesa.
I was thinking the same thing. In physical faceoff's I think she can do well. We saw it on the Duel II. She only participated in like 4 missions total, not every mission has to do with jumping and water. I don't think she is a great or even good competitor or athlete, but I also don't think she had easy or fun challenges.
You guys are giving Shauvon way to much credit. She's a terrible athlete & is very uncoordinated. lol
She reminds me of a sorority girl who gives the Challenges as much attention as she would a weekend at a Habitat House--she may have good intentions, but don't let her near a nail gun. I like her personality though.
She is horrible on running (everyone remember why she was capiton of TeamGrey in CutThroat), she is horrible on water missions, she is horrible as athlete and how somebody just said she is very uncoordinated. She is just stupid.
