Yea! i mean paula i think in my opinion needs to move on from the challenges cause it is not working out for her at all lol!
Eh if she has fun and she gets called back why move on? I can't really blame any of these people who keep doing it and doing, cause at the end of it all its a paid vacation with lots of friends, they do some weird and fun stuff (at times) the normal people don't tend to do, and if they get lucky they even win some cool stuff and money.
I'm just very tired of excuses being made for Paula. She wants to **** and moan about never winning a Challenge and gripe about people screwing her over, but I'm not going to sit here and root for her to win one when there are people like CT and Brad who deserve a win way more than she does but don't sit around and complain about it every chance they get.

I'm warming up to Paula never really showed interest in her but I like how determined she is this season.
I've never understood why people hate Paula. My sister hates Paula. I love Paula, she's like my favorite cast member. I don't understand how anyone can watch The Island and not feel for Paula, Ev, and Kelly Anne. Is it the fake *****? I'm not a fan either but I still root for them! I honestly don't get it. Paula seems like she's finally a normal, well adjusted person, and she clearly wants this SO bad. Ev consoled her last year with "we DID win, on Gauntlet 3, we crossed the finish line first", and as far as I'm concerned shes right, but of course its not official. She's a hard worker and always gives 100%. Maybe its my Ohio values, but that will get me to root for you almost every time. I don't understand why anyone would be more "deserving" (equally, sure, but not more). Go Paula.
I remember back on the Duel, while everybody was getting picked around her, she kept looking around with this scared face and I felt bad for her. Now she just whines a lot but I agree, she has come very far and should win eventually. What I didn't like about her on the Island was that she felt that jsut because she was promised a key, she felt she had a shoe-in win. Like Kenny has said, he promised her a key, and he got her one. I mean, did she really think they'd take her over Ev?
I think Paula needs to stop relying on others to get her to the end. Everytime she has done that she's been left out in the cold.
I think Paula needs to stop relying on others to get her to the end. Everytime she has done that she's been left out in the cold.
I agree. I mean she's not the best competitor, but she's not the worst either. And with the friends she's got, she's in good position to make it far in every game she's on. She really should try to stay out of the main alliance, despite what she believes, because I think she'd make it just as far without them "officially" watching out for her.
Yeah on Inferno 3 she pulled her own weight, and it was on the Challenge she looked her best, and she had no alliance.
Yeah on Inferno 3 she pulled her own weight, and it was on the Challenge she looked her best, and she had no alliance.
Exactly, she was actually the one being attacked on the challenge and the closest think she had to an alliance was the males on her team backing her up. And she still did great in the missions and proved she deserved to be in the final. I'll always remember her line "I do not deserve to go in there!" and that was the Paula I liked.

I vaguely remember The Inferno 3 and can't re-watch but from what I do recall Paula did very well on her own.
I vaguely remember The Inferno 3 and can't re-watch but from what I do recall Paula did very well on her own.
She was a big part of the Good Guys. She won one LifeShield during Giraffic Park, it's just that after because Rachel and Colie were the first females eliminated, obviously Susie and Cara wanted Paula to go into the Inferno the rest of the times. Then of course she beat Aneesa. So overall, Paula did very well on this challenge.
And that was solely because she depended on herself, right?
Basically, yes. Really the only time she needed help was trying to convince Susie and Cara they were wrong for trying to put her in, and she didn't even ask for the help really. Alton, Johnny, and Ace really had her back because they knew she was important and they felt Susie and Cara were just bullying her because she was the newer girl. But no deep alliances there.
Actually if you are referring to Johnny mention the etchings, he told the whole team not just Paula.

I feel that when you go into a challenge with cast-members of your season it's sorta of like a mandatory alliance but many times that has proven to be untrue.
Actually if you are referring to Johnny mention the etchings, he told the whole team not just Paula.
Huh?
I think most of the times thats not true, Tyler called out Johnny on Duel 1, Johnny sent in Tyler into the Gauntlet on Gauntlet 3, Melissa voted for Julie to get eliminated on Battle of the Sexes, and Paula was screwed over Evelyn on the Island. I think the one true show alliance is Brad/Robin.
Huh?
We posted at the same time, my post was in reference to rey2pokey's above.
I feel that when you go into a challenge with cast-members of your season it's sorta of like a mandatory alliance but many times that has proven to be untrue.
Basically depends on how good of terms you're on with your castmembers. Key West, not the strongest. Fresh Meat, pretty strong. RR: Xtreme, one of the strongest I think. Just look at Tyler and Johnny on the Duel. When I see Paula I always think back to her after she was beaten by Aneesa in the Duel. She was dirty, hair a mess, and she was brying and laughing at the same time saying "It's nice to know I've got a little scrapper in me". And look at how far she's come now.
Now she just needs to win!!!!!!!!!!!
Bingo. She should just call up Ev, be like "Hey I just got called back for another challenge, can I come train with you?", have Ev whip her into serious shape, and bam, she could dominate lol.
I believe she was training with Kenny before she left for this challenge (or maybe it was before FM2, I'm not positive).
Ohh interesting, I guess Kenny could teach her a thing or two too.
Now she just needs to win!!!!!!!!!!!
She really does. It's so sad.
Well for me it isn't about how she works as a competitor it's about how she works her social game. As I've said before she depends on others to get her to the end and every time that hasn't worked. She needs to start depending on herself and play this game on her own terms (much like other castmembers need to start doing).

Like Sarah, in FM2 she was sent home very early by Wes alliance for being Kenny's friend. I always see her as a contender for the victory, maybe because she's doing this a long time.
She looks better!
I still want to know where all this animosity towards Johnny comes from. I assume it's still from the Island...but it looked like she forgave Kenny pretty quickly. Kenny said on Derrick's podcast that he tried to give her some of the money but she wouldn't take it.
