The bold might be a fact or opinion (how are you so aware that Susanne is "thirsty" for ratings after a decent season that faired well for MTV's current mixture of shows), but I think people are forgetting why the first Exes did so well...the cast.
I came back after a couple season hiatus of The Challenges because of three main pairs, those being Mark / Robin, Aneesa / Rachel, and CT / Diem...six competitors that I grew up watching and loved seeing them compete. I was also a bit ecstatic to see Abram and Paula as part of the format.
I'm not saying that the speculated cast that's been pointed out won't be a disappointment for a sequel, but to assume that Exes will bring in big ratings is a bit much, don't you think?
You can't just compare the Free Agents rating to the ratings of the other shows. Hypothetically, let's say that each contestant on Free Agents got paid $10,000. This would imply that salary alone for the show was $280,000. Now add the $350,000 in prize money. I'll round it down and just say we're at $600,000 now for pure cash. Now let's add in the costs to set up the show, permits, insurance, and other things. The show costs a lot of money to produce. What does Catfish cost? Probably not that much. A bad rating is a bad rating, you can't compare it to the rest of the shows to say it's good or not. If MTV can get similar ratings for reruns of Ridiculousness, it probably makes a lot more sense to do that.
Well apparently they have been inviting Landon back(who's very similar to Darrell). And Darrell could've had his 5th win a long time ago on The Ruins. So it's really his fault.
He just had to go and punch Brad. Oh what Phuket does to our beloved Challenge competitors.

I see your logic, and I understand that it's not cheap to create a season.
I brought up the ratings since, whenever ratings got revealed the day after a brand new episode, PinkRose would take the time to showcase how that week's episode fared to the rest of the new episodes that MTV put out. That's how I compared ratings for the week to see how well it did to other "smashing hits" that MTV has produced.

The thing is that MTV wasn't happy with any of those ratings, right now Teen Wolf and Catfish are doing way better in the rating department.
Theme challenges work better for this generation, they are no expecting BIG numbers like the first exes. Rivals 2 wasn't near Rivals 1, but it was good enough to get the franchise renew for 2 seasons they are expecting the same for Exes,

Watch it end up being a ratings nightmare! I hope it doesn't, but I would not be surprised.

It wouldn't be worse than free agents, Just watch. Keep an open mind and stop being so pessimistic, I hope this season do great so they can be more seasons and they can take a risk for the theme for season 27 if there is one.

Pink I know its a tough question because we can't predict the future but if you had to guess, how many more challenges do you see in the franchise?

There's nowhere to go but up from Free Agents, but MTV/BMP is setting themselves up for failure with this cast they are coming out with.

To be honest no idea...It all come down to ratings and keep reality shows are cheaper to produce than scripted shows.
Battle of the exes was good and a ratings success because of the cast along with the concept. You can have a good gimmick, but if the cast sucks then so will the ratings.
I hope this cast is t true.

Not necessarily. The potential cast is not awful, there's a lot of room for improvement but it's passable. I'd like to see some DC/NOLA representation like Eric/Sahar and Josh/Erika (huge stretch, but so is Eric/Sahar), but whatever, I'll deal with it.
It almost feels like BOTSeasons, a bunch of unproven competitors/rookies that will get the chance to finally shine. Seasons was one of my favorite challenges, so we'll see what happens.

If that actually happens, I am done with spoilers for this season. That's some Bull **** from MTV/BMP.

This is watchable. However, if this new challenge does not have CT, Bananas, or Cory then it's going to be pathetic in terms of competition. And so far we know that Cory is out, CT is unknown, and Bananas might be on. I honestly am praying for Bananas to be on the next one lol because the male cast is garbage aside from Zach, Thomas and Jordan.
Having Bananas and Camila come back as reigning champs would be ******* awesome imo because they never had a "returning champions" pair on a challenge.
BMP blows it yet again! What else is new?
I know It's NOT confirm, I am am trying to keep a positive mind about this but if that actually happens. I am done big time.
The thing I was looking forward the most this season it was a season free of Camila/Cara/Aneesa and then on top of it you pair Camila up again with Bananas that was a huge stretch on the first exes in the first place? Like WTF is that?
I hate putting a Debut Album comment but Camila wasn't even a cast member to be on this shows and I am done with her stupid tantrums...Camilanator was only entertaining on the first Exes after that it got pathetic, attention hungry and repetitive like grow up you are in your mid 20s to be blacking out while being drunk and starting drama for no reason.
Camila and Bananas are the only pair that will save this challenge.
Don't be mad that none of these other weaklings can topple King Bananas. That's like being mad at Kobe or Lebron for being so good at what they do.

I don't care about having Bananas back, I Just think having Camila back is pointless. Offer more money to Kelly anne and pair her up with Bananas. I would be a happy camper.

They really couldn't get better teams? For real...?
On the positive, with Jess, Camila, Aneesa, Theresa, Marie, Nany, and Sarah - the girls side is looking decent.
Don't entirely count out the following just yet:
Cory
Brian
Jenny
Johnny R.
Nia
Averey
JD
Devyn
Cohutta
KellyAnne
Davis
Tyler
Ryan K.
Eric
Wes
Abram
Darrell
Rachel
Susie

Like I said... where are you getting this information? Send me a PM if you would like.
I don't need to.
As Vevmo is perhaps the leading site for Challenge spoilers, baseless speculation with no sources could be dangerous as casual readers could take that as meaning something is official or confirmed and spread it around the Internet when it is, in fact, not.

I think we're back to what people want
Exes does not work unless there is real conflict much like rivals 1 and exes 1 had more than 2 pairs who legit had conflict. When you have a season of stretches they will put aside 1 fight 5 yrs ago for money it is dumb to watch these fake exes... Exes 1 had blowups between the two two teams and legit awkwardness
Marie gets a lot of love here but seriously do you see her not having a devyn like finals performance? Her endurance was horrible and she drinks and smokes a lot

I am confused, the only time I recall any pointless drunken drama was on FA, am I missing something?
I agree though, I hope we don't see Camila, Cara, Aneesa, etc. this upcoming season.
