Eh...look how well a ready made Alliance the Austin was, and look how fast it crumbled. Herman is not gonna get far.
I don't know.. I could see Scott going further than the Austin Alliance... First Scott is much more likable than the Austin Alliance.. Plus we don't know who he's making alliances with... Austin was an alliance entirely made up of first time challengers...
what i know...
1 - first time challengers usually go out first.. veterans stick to themselves, even preferring a weak veteran over a (seemingly) strong rookie.
2 - rookies that look or act "strong" are targeted first.
3 - rookies that talk a lot before a challenge, or are highly promoted before a challenge, get targeted first.
4 - strong competitors usually need at least 2 challenges under their belts before they have the challenge knowledge, savvy and social connections to win a challenge.
5 - mind will get you farther than might, everytime
so, Scott.. i really liked as a person, and respect as a disciplined athlete.. but if i was betting man.. i will definetely bet against him winning his first challenge.
True! But I hold out hope... Kim & Issac both made it pretty far on a first challenge...
& look at wes... on fresh meat he was targeted early, but was able to battle through and make it all the way to the finals...
So hopefully Scott can play it smart & tough make it far! I can hope anyways! :)
Personally, i always thought that Scott would probably be the type of guy that won't do Challenges especially since his real life career would most probably be very successful and would take up his time that he'd probably wouldn't need to do one. But if Scott's gonna be in at least one Challenge, more power to him and he's certainly one of the RW people i never expected would actually be in one.:)
Another thing one should pay attention to for when he does make his Challenge debut is his physical ability. If the Vets decide to throw him in early, if it's a physical type of elimination, one can assume either he could be a powerhouse or one can assume his workout skills really won't help him either way. In attempting to maintain my optimism, of course i'll hope for the first option.
However, if the elimination comes down to doing a mental game, like a puzzle or such, many strong physical players have been unfortunate victims of that type of elimination.:( One would hope that Scott has both a very smart and a very calm head in the face of pressure, and if coaching from the teams is permitted, maybe their suggestions can help him win faster as has been proven in the past.
I am a fan of some of the FMers(Diem, Eric, Linette) but they aren't real cast members. It is much harder to like them because the only one that I know any real info on is Diem. Personally, I belive that if there aren't enough RWRRers to do challenges then they should end the challenges.
It all comes down to how you perform and now it actually seems that rookies aren't always targeted first. For the girls the first rookie was the 3 ruin. Also Chet was the only guy that was a rookie on this challenge. Also their have been several people to make final missions on their 1st try including one being Sarah, Janelle, and even Wes. In most cases it comes down to the faceoffs and who is better that day.I was wondering if MJ will do another challenge? If he comes back I think he could do quite well on a team challenge because on the last challenge he performed quite well.
Will Chet come back one day? The dude is too funny and too stylish to be restricted to only one episode of being himself and getting eliminated first! He was even close to winning that elimination at some points but unfortunately Wes managed to get to the top first...
What would make it even sweeter is having Chet and Ryan (obviously when he comes back from Iraq) together on a Challenge. I'd bet dollars into pesos that their bromance might overshadow the Evan/Kenny bromance that has dominated the Challenges for so long.
I really hope Issac Stout is not done with challenges he by far is one of the most uniques/ original castmates I have seen and is extremely entertaining.
Just hope that when he goes for his elimination round, he doesn't go for someone he has virtually NO chance of beating just because the person cut off his huge nail... There's dumb and dumber, but that right there was really the dumbest of reasons for wanting to go up against Landon!
I respected it in that he was in the duel and landon was the most obvious competitor. This is going off the fact that he won way more challenges then anyone else. If he were to so happen to beat Landon then he not only would have probably not been called out agian. He would have had an easier ride in the final. Also in the Duel yes it`s important to make the final mission but only one person can win and so if you feel you are going to take him on at some point why not let it be sooner rather then at the final mission.
The thiung I didn't get for the rookies vs. Vetrans challenge is that they had so many fresh meat sitting at home whio hadn't competed on another challenge i.e. Chanda, Johnnie, Aviv, Jessie, and Linnette and yet none of them made the show. Also I don't get why the pitcrew can't be considered official castmembers they were apart of the show. They may not be road rulers but they have to be something just the same as Fresh Meat are something. I view the Viewers Revenge challenge similar to Fresh Meat except instead the Fresh Meat competed agianst the vets.
I agree that FM kids aren't "real" cast members, but that said, I also agree that the Pit Crew should be able to come on Challenges! ...as long as Angel never returns ever again.
Would like to see Kristen, Derek (again), and maybe a few others.
True, but Isaac's ultimate reasoning for trying to take out Landon was ridiculous. Many castmembers complained that Isaac's huge nail stunk so Landon basically did everybody the favor of getting the funk out of the way. Isaac himself said he can always grow it back, so why so bitter?!
As to who could definitely beat Landon in a Duel besides Brad, i would say Mark or Evan most likely. Mark was the one male player who usually won the competitions when Landon didn't so that made him a great competitor, and Evan also mowed over the competition in the Duels. As a matter of fact, i think even CT could've had a great possibility had he not gone out the way he did...
This is what i still confuses me: Has BMP discarded all of the "Pit Crew" from future Challenges? It seems to drift in that direction since in terms of who would most likely return, i know Tori would probably tear up the engagement ring if she crumbled under the Challenge drama for the third strike, Angel seemed to be set on just doing one, Derek would most probably keep doing them if asked in a heartbeat since he loves doing them and one can see room for development in terms of his mental and physical strength getting better with each Challenge and possibly putting him up with the big dogs like Mark, Evan, Brad, Derrick, and Landon. As for Dan, idk if he'd do one again considering how much he embarrassed himself on The Island.
There were no Pit Crew on The Ruins and it looks like the unfortunate pattern will repeat itself in the next Challenge... So what is the answer to the riddle?
Landon vs Evan in puzzle climbing one (name escapes me) and duel pole dancing = stacked in Landon's favor
Landon vs Evan in back off and push over = Evan's favor because of size, but still close to 50-50
Landon vs Evan in escalator = Landon because I think he could stay calmer then Evan.
Landon vs Mark in puzzle climbing one and duel pole dancing = Landon's favor
Landon vs Mark in back off and push over = Landon because although Mark is strong and taller, I have to give it to Landon to just being tougher, and he's a wrestler.
Landon vs Mark in escalator = 50-50 I'd say
There was no way to beat Landon were he to be in that final, at least for Mark, Evan, and Brad. Perhaps CT might have been able to but again, the best bet was to battle him in a duel.
Landon vs CT in puzzle climbing = 50-50
Landon vs CT in duel pole dancing = CT because of his height.
Landon vs CT back off and push over = CT, I don't think Landon would be able to toss around CT like he did Brad.
Landon vs CT escalator = very close but I'd say CT because he can stay calm like Landon and he has a better reach, but I wonder if he'd be able to fit in little cage. (Same about Eric lol)
Nobody said you have to be able to do puzzles to be smart, but you do have to be smart to do puzzles. So You have to have problem solving skills and a lot of logic to work out puzzles, and you also have to be able to take different aspects of things and turn them into new perspectives. Those are qualities that support describing an educated person. Hence, Susie should (and is) very good at puzzles.
Now that not saying a smart person must be able to do puzzles, but the qualities that describe both criss-cross. Also the definition of "smart" also varies, take Tina for example. Tina is good at puzzles, which helped her get second place on Fresh Meat, but Tina was not very smart when she punched Beth on the Duel.
solving Puzzles has nothing with being smart, some people have just that gift of being good with puzzles. they just require patience. lets go back to The Gauntlet 3 where The Vets were desperate and were not going anywhere with that puzzle. I dont consider myself smart, but im not dumb aslo. but i am pretty good when it comes to puzzles.
No one was beating Landon in the final. The finale had allot of cycling and Landon is professional cyclist. He would have easily won.
That's why I said their best bet was to take him on in a Duel.
Most we ever know about the Fresh Meat kids is what they say they've done with the money they won on a prior Challenge.
Examples:
1. Kenny supposedly bought a wrestling ring for his backyard with his 2nd place Fresh Meat $15,000 take.
2. Casey got a **** job using the $5,000 take she got from completing 3rd place in Fresh Meat which she confirmed on the FM reunion and the first episode of The Duel.
3. Evan said that he put his first place Duel 2 reward money away and is waiting to meet the right woman... Of course, being that this is Evan we're talking about, he most probably made that up and is actually having a good time with the money like Rachel said she had with her first place $150,000 reward.;) Who wouldn't?:D
If there are any other examples, they escape me at the moment. Point is, we hardly hear about their real lives due to depending so much on the Challenges to win stuff they'd probably never win with a real job anyway...

Casey also put some money on a certificate of deposit (CD) for her brother's college tuition.
They should do an rw/rr allstars vs survivors allstars. That would b epic. My team for rw/rr would be, CT, Evan, Landon, Alton, Brad, Wes, Miz(just one more time sakes for an allstar appearance) Evelyn, Rachel, Jillian, Jodi, Kina, Tori, and...... Coral maybe?
Paula could have won a challenge by now but it seems she shoots herself in the foot such as in the Duel 2. Where she had Evan as a partner and then blew that deal by choosing Dunbar.

100% agree with you
The Duel- her first challenge, it's tradition
The Inferno III- Her Team just wasn't good enough
The Gauntlet 3- BEST TEAM, bad luck (with eric)
The Island- depended too much on the "alliance" and got screwed
The Duel 2- Her fault
Fresh Meat 2- reason not know :)
but she CAN win a challenge!
Wes & Bobby (tila tequila) :drinks:
