Yes they may very well outweigh. Him this could be a massive downfall if it's a sure size challenge but barring that I have to believe he will be much faster, and ready to go for the challenge either way. Scott also is a huge 170, I was shocked he only weighed that. Also until he loses I have to believe he will win and doesn't Evelyn dominate challenges and isn't the biggest person. Scott has said also in the past that Chet told him that castmates were scared of him coming on the show and they were sizing him up. In my viewpoint he can beat anyone on these challenges.
Did you see the video or know anything about Scott Herman. Well if you didn't see it he was squatting 225 which if you went to the gym you would know that is allot. He also did 41 reps without stopping which is no small feat. I think he in my opinion will be ready for a challenge when it comes time to do so.
doing 41 squats at 225 is a pretty high number. Its pretty impressive, even though he didn't go down all the way; his knee wasn't parallel to the ground but thats besides the point.
That being said, he's 5'10 and 170 pounds. He's a shrimp compared to the people that go onto this challenge. He would get crushed if he went head to head with the big dogs like CT, Evan, or Darrell who all weigh 200+ in anything remotely physical. Because of his size i really don't think hes going to even close to dominating these challenges like he claims, unless his athleticism is off the charts
Dude its not like those guys are big as hell.
You see those guys like Darrell and Evan with bellies.
That guy Scott has Abs. Hes 170 of pure muscle.
His Cardio, Strength, and Power will be comparable to any of those dudes.
Derrick is 5'6 150 and consistently out wrestles bigger guys.
I heard on the Challenge replay Wes around 5'10 and 170 as well.
Landon isn't huge hes ripped and a machine. I would say he was the shortest guy in the Duel 2 and weighed less than Mark, Brad, Evan. But he destroyed those guys in challenges.
I feel bad for Johnny cause this is his thread but we're not really talking about him... wait, I actually don't really feel bad. But I agree with********. Unamazing, it is a little different for girls. Evelyn does really well because she is incredibly fit among a bunch of girls that aren't very fit. Almost all the guys are fit and get ready for these things. It's hard to say he'd do bad or do good because we haven't seen him do anything. He may be a huge 170 but that is nothing to a solid 220 Evan or 190 Landon or 240 CT. Or people we've seen do incredible things before - Derrick, Abram, Wes, etc.
Yes, true. Also though I can't think of anyone in recent history that seemed more ready for one of these challenges then Scott. This means at least the last couple of years. He has easliy the potential to win some of these challenges. Would it be such a leap to say he is better than half the people, which includes Derrick and Johnny. Your size also isn't the biggest factor in lots of the faceoffs your size can be used to your disadvantage such as in final missions and lots of the faceoffs. The only missions in which your weight really come into play are the ones like that challenge push me.

Yes it would, because unless you know him personally, we have no idea what he can do. He could perhaps be the best person ever but he could also be a complete flop. And the only reason it seems like he is more ready then anyone else is because he posts videos of himself working out so we can see what he's doing.
Most of the eliminations aren't physical contact anyway.
Look at Cohutta he won two.
Plus Derrick whooped several big guys in wrestling games. When you battle in Pole Wrestling its Resistance base.
When you battle climbing games its speed.
The only game I see weight really mattering is if you get attached to somebody else like in Gauntlet 2 and having go after a flag. Thats why Derrick lost to Timmy.
Um, sure I haven't seen him compete agianst other people in challenge format but he sure though has posted enough videos showing that he is capable of a challenge. I guess I'm really the only one who thinks this a good thing that he is going to do a challenge. I know one thing though he seems to be the best example to represent his season for his athletic ability.

How do we know how smart Scott is? We haven't seen him do that. How do we know he'd be good in pole wrestle? We haven't seen him do that. How do we know he's good at climbing? We haven't seen him do that. I do think he'd be good at running. But we once again, do not know how athletic he is just because he can squat a lot.
I think it's about time I send a new link.YouTube - Fun pull-up variations
and this one

we get it - he's physically in good shape and is strong for his weight but that still doesn't mean hes going to be awesome in the challenges
there was that one dude back in the day, lateriann who was an absolute physical stud and he sucked *** on the challenges
I don't have any idea who you are talking about when referring to Laterian. I'm just excited some who represents the fitness community will potentially be showcased on a challenge. Now If only Joey would come on a challenge.
I agree with Faceless' post regarding we talking about a guy who hasnt been on a single challenge yet on the page of someone who -for good or bad- has been a big part in the last challenges.. i mean, like most of the challengers, i bet Johnny prefers people talking bad about him, than not talking at all about him.. jijij.. plus the new (unproven) kid has his own thread already, right?
The guy dedicates his life to working out.
Hes cut, obviously he does focuses on keeping his resistance high.
Doing awesome in these challenge isn't even a question. He will kill it.
You guys are doubting if he can eliminate people in elimination rounds.
He sure has hell will be able to do escalator type ****, he will sure as hell be able do that Abcruncher game on the ruins, he sure as hell will be able to hang on to something for long periods of time without getting tired.
The guy is a machine.
To me guys like Dunbar are the people you are talking about. Guys who just lift weight and thats it. Thats why they suck.
Johnny and Kenny can't compete with this guy.
Nehemiah beat him. Tyler beat Johnny.
So don't doubt Scott. He focuses on total body workouts. His muscles can do stuff, they aren't just for show.
I view this exactly the same way. It isn't a matter of if Scott will kill it's just a matter of when. He to me is going to make other people train harder and if they don't they will face the wake up call which is Scott Herman.
These challenges have proven that it's around 70% how strong you are, and 30% who you know, and usually that 70% gets you in the good graces of the ones who run the show till they screw you over. Scott is going into every elimination round on his first challenge because he called out JEK, but as we know its not just JEK, they have Derrick, if Mark Long is on there he's a JEKer, and others who know that standing with JEK is better for their survival than some rookie.

By kill it. I mean the challenges won't be hard for him. You have some stupid fruit throwing games and wheel rolling. Like come on, anybody can do good in these challenges except worthless competitors like Casey.
The final mission is a footrace, the guy can make it.
The question is elimination rounds. I think he can win.
But the question how many will he be thrown into?
Well if its a duel game, maybe everytime if he doesn't save himself. Because if hes not going to make alliances he will be thrown in. Doesn't matter how strong you are because in the end if you go in everytime a game you're not good in will come up.
But if hes on Gauntlet game or Inferno. He will be in the Finals because he will be on the Blue Team and won't have to be teammates with shaddy vets.
I honestly think Scott would not do well in an elimination round. Physically, he's in awesome shape, but I don't think he could prepare himself to beat some veterans. However, if he was on a challenge I would not expect him to go home first.
Truth of the matter is, Scott says he'll never do a challenge, which annoys me because he said in his audition video that he wanted to do some. Hopefully he changes his mind.
I think he was joking.
No he wasnt derricks sons' name is Awesome check out AwesomeKlothing.com
i think its cool o and scott herman said he will find out in a couple months if he is gonna be on the next challenge he wants to do it to take down evan kenny and wes he said
Scott should be teaming up with Wes.
IMO the challenges are the best part of the Real World universe.
Like every guy dreams of being a pro athlete. If you don't accomplish that goal, then these challenges give you a sense of being a real athlete.
Aside from the money you want to prove you're the best competitor of all.
sort of random but i was wondering if anyone could compile a list of schools our cast members attended. i only know a few of them since they rarely discuss their education on the show anymore... ill begin with the few that i know.
veronice- uc berkley
julie- byu
johnny- penn state?
jillian- cal state los angeles?
colie- tulane univerisity
shavoun- sacromento state
any others??
May I add in a very motherly way.....Tulane on an academic scholarship. Dah, couldn't you tell by all her wise decisions!

Once and for all, his son's name is not awesome. His son's name is Derrick. He is Derrick Jr.
What happened to the music on the challenges?
I'm watching the older challenges (BOTS, Gauntlet 1) and they constantly play music during the missions by bands or rappers. It makes the mission look a lot more fun than barely having any music at all like the challenges now. Is it because of copyright issues?
Even when drama was occurring and you would hear all the interviews and stuff. They would include montages of the "villian" during the episode and play intense music and it would make the challenges really interesting.
I think BMP produced its own music in the older challenges also because i noticed that they would use the same music over and over. Why don't they use that music in the challenges now?
I feel like the challenges now are too quiet or something. When 2 people are talking its dead silent and makes it a little less entertaining to see.
I totally agree with you! I remember on BOTS 1 when Puck threatened Ellen, they had music playing in the background throughout that entire scene. There wasn't a quiet moment ever.
I wonder if maybe it has to do with how they display the artist's name at the bottom of the screen now? Maybe MTV/BMP are just lazy and don't want to put all of those artists' names anymore.
Um, he has been preparing like he is going to do a challenge. He seems also to want to do one currently. I think that all that is standing in the way is the producers. I can't see him not coming on as a leader though for a large team and if it was like the gauntlet he would probably be one of the last ones going in. I can't see to many people wanting to call Scott out on a challenge and risk losing.
To put the Derrick awesome thing to rest. His son's name is Derrick, his sons middle name is Awesome as stated by the about section on that site.
As for Scott, many of times we seen beefed up guys lose in unconventional ways. Tell me how will benching 225 lbs or whatever..help him in a puzzle mission?

Cause apparently, squatting 225 and doing pull ups and running makes you the best player even though we haven't seen him compete. And he's just automatically a brainiac? Can't you tell? Gooooosh.
Let us remind ourselves how HUGE David from New Orleans was and basically sucked at every challenge. Even Laterrian (RR9) was a big guy and was horrible at the challenges...for some reason I would think that if Joey (HW) would ever do a challenge, he would be just as horrible.
i don't think that there will be to many people lining up to prove your theory correct? Who can you honestly say is going to want to call out Scott or for that matter Joey?
