I think that Evan wants to throw himself under the bus, because he realizes that in this particular challenge he is the weakest link of the JEK alliance , he has been outperformed for almost everybody and his performance has been awful
The way things are going, CT/Adam have a good chance to win most of the challenges (meaning 2k for each) and easily get one of the 3 final spots, and I wouldn’t bet a dime against them on a final endurance challenge.
So, I do think is the obvious decision for the guys to try to get him out as soon as possible, one way could be to throw at them the other teams (Brandon/Ty, Leroy/Mike), but for that it would be required to expect CT/Adam not to be safe.. And how many chances of that they are going to get?
so the plan they came up with, try to engineer at least 1 instance in which CT/Adam don’t win; and then go against with the team they think has the best chance to beat them.. Is not only sound but also ballsy...
And to tell you the truth I don’t know if Evan/Nehemiah are actually the best fitted for the task (I would say Kenny/Wes instead), but he has enough skill, confidence, and care for his friends to step up.. And to quote someone earlier, that's why I liked him.
ps.. the Turning Tiles Wall Challenge seem at first glance dumb, but it was actually pretty cool.. specially since it required brain, speed, skill and not been afraid of getting hit in the head by a swinging tile.

Skill? You slap a wall to get it to change sides.
It was mainly speed... if not only speed.
I think the first 3 minutes of the Turning Tiles Wall elimination was a waste of time. All u do is they flip over, u flip back, they flip over, you flip back. They should have save all the energy for the last 1 or 2 minutes.
I like the 2K for mission wins thing. It's not like the whole prize or anything but it's something to reward you while you go in case you don't get top 2. I hate when it's all at the end, because if you do well you should be rewarded throughout the game.

No, bc lets say theres 50 total tiles...and at the beginning theres 25 flipped in ur favor and 25 flipped in the other favor, well if u just chilled out and didnt do anything for the first 3 min, the other team would have flipped all 50 in their favor, so then u have 2 minutes to flip at least 26 in ur favor would be too much for you to do, even if the other team is tired
the key is to do what laurel and CM did at the end, when they both went on 1 side together and flipped together

it was also skill.. is like trying to do solve a rubik cube against time, you can have fast hands, and enough brain to know how to do it, but if you are not doing it with just the right amount of skill, you are going to take longer because parts are not going to turn right.. like doing a Survivor-type puzzle.. pieces are not going to fit if you dont take care of fitting them right..
if you were just flipping tiles to flip, you could end up with a lot of half-flip tiles.. if you were trying to flip one tile at the same time as your opponent you could use their moment to have the tile end up in your side, etc, etc.
you be surprise how useless speed can be without skill.

I've done something exactly like this, and while it wasn't the easiest, it certainly wasn't hard by any stretch. It's a matter of getting the Rivals logo on your side, you see a black, you slap it.
Gotta love at people over-analyzing a challenge and making it seem more extreme than it really was.

Your grammar makes it impossible to read what you are trying to say, it's rather annoying.
Yeah Paula's right. Put in Camila and Theresa. Makes sense for her and makes sense for me because I don't like them.
Hahaha. I’m actually glad Jonna & Jasmine did so badly on this challenge because the target on their backs got a it smaller, and the other teams focused on Camila & Theresa.
why did adam/ct allow wes/kenny to go last and jonnhy/tyler and evan/neamiah to go 2nd last...but ty and leroy to go first when he knows that the minute they lose, jek will put them in the jungle?
and don't say bc he is friends with them bc the game is supposed to be "not personal"
Yeah the order was ridiculous. Adam needs to stop working with the enemy. I defended him in the beginning because I thought he was just venting, but he's starting to exaggerate. Why would they make JEK's life any easier when they know that if they win, Adam & CT are going into the jungle? I also don't see why they sent the girls of the JEK alliance last... they're not voting Adam and CT's way. That makes absolutely no sense.
With Evan volunteering to go in next week and throw it. Two reasons IMO for this.
1. He knows he is the low end of the JEK alliance and will eventually have to do it anyway before the finals.
How is Evan the low end of JEK? I think Kenny and Evan like/trust each other more than they like Johnny, in the game, and they wouldn't throw each other under the bus. They’ve both said that Bananas can play a shady game and ultimately looks out for himself in the end. Evan and Kenny on the other hand, will sacrifice themselves for the best of their alliance.

Tyler's a monster who just came off a huge win (CutThroat), Johnny's not bad either.
Kenny and Wes are well... Kenny and Wes :D
Evan's good but Nehemiah... not so much
I like Cara Maria a lot more in this challenge than in previous ones, but she kept playing the victim card, it really aggravated me. It might have been the edit, but after the challenge she says “good communication, Laurel”, and them DQing has nothing to do with their communication as a team, and Laurel. And then during the deliberations, she says “Laurel is allowed to say a name” and then blames her for not saying a name. It’s a team effort, geez, can’t you say a name CM? Don’t expect Laurel to make all the decisions and do all the dirty work.
Jenn... after 5-6 seasons, still votes like the powerhouses and repeats "I have to go with the numbers, I just have to". You’d think she’d start making her own decisions. I really hope she doesn't make it to the finals. Or if she makes it, that she gets last place, again.
I don’t think that JEK's plan is stupid, the earlier they try to get rid of CT/Adm, the more attempts they get if they don’t immediately succeed. I just find it funny that they say they’ll throw the challenge when they’ve been trying to win a challenge since the beginning and never have. What makes them think that they’ll win this one? or that Kenny & Wes won’t DQ again?

:D Yep!
I think Theresa and Camila would've been smart to let them turn all of their doors and then at the last minute come in and go all out. That could've caught Cara/Laurel off guard enough that it could've gotten them the win. If you're gonna pretend to throw something, might as well go all out with it.
After thinking about it, I think the plan is the only chance they have at getting rid of CT/Adam. Let's be honest, CT/Adam will more than likely beat Ty/Brandon and Mike/Leroy 9 times out of 10. And outside of CT, Evan is arguably the strongest competitor on the cast (based on what we've seen in the past), so if they're going to have any chance of beating CT at all, this might be the only way.
Because Paula is not as annoying as JEK. Plus Paula has actually gone into many a elimination round without being a coward. Also JEK has never earned winning. Well up until next week since Evan/Nehemiah want to thro themselves in to get rid of CT/Adam.
I think separately, most of JEK have earned their wins no doubt. Paula has gone into some elimination rounds and others she was a bigger coward than JEK. I think Paula to me is more annoying than JEK....
Well it's obvious from this episode that Cara/Laurel are not in JEK alliance.... CT should make use of them and Jasmine.
For some reason, Paula and Jenn have been fretting me lately: acting like their top dogs, calling shots, pretending to be better than the rookies etc.... it's quite annoying. It's obvious to me they're the girl version of JEK...
I really don't understand.... so JEK are playing their usual game: get the threats out so we have a better chance of winning. Some people call that being scared, esp of CT. What I don't get is that when JEK is throwing people under the bus, everyone says "Oh they're so scared, they don't even want to go in elimination rounds, they're weak, blah blah" then when Evan steps up to go in to try to take out CT, apparently, he's being stupid.... come on people make up your minds.... Is going in elimination rounds stupid or commendable. Stop being double minded about it.
With that said, I commend Evan, tis why I like him...
I agree 100%.

I also agree with this. Kenny just did an interview with Mark and he said that Evan and Johnny don't really trust each other's game. They have no problem getting along, but the only reason they're in an alliance is because of Kenny. If it came down to it, Johnny would get thrown under the bus just like in The Ruins when he had to go in against Dunbar.
Oh and that freestyle clip with Brandon and Nehemiah at the end of the itunes video was pretty good. That needs to be an extended clip instead of that CT/Wes and Kenny/Evan/Paula "fights".

Well, except they've never actually won.
Yeah, I'm surprised... I didn't expect Cara Maria to have any political influence, just to be a good competitor, but Laurel got dealt a great hand by being Kenny's partner on FM2, and she's not playing her cards right.

True. But at this point, only Kenny likes Laurel it seems. Johnny not so much and Evan seems indifferent. Paula/Ev is a bigger part of their alliance than Laurel/CM. I doubt Laurel would go against Kenny and form a counter alliance but I think it's pretty obvious she's not in the main alliance... she's just floating in between I think.

But what if Ct/Adam wins the next challenge? What then? Their whole plan is shot to hell right there and what if Wes/Kenny or John/Tyler DQ? what's that gonna do for them? Evan throwing the next challenge is going to be REALLY stupid because there's no guarentee that CT/Adam DON'T win the next challenge.
But hey if Ct/Adam wins and Evan/Nehemiah end up going in the Jungle all that's going to happen is either Brandon/Ty or Mike/Leroy is gonna get thrown in. Nobody is going to think for themselves and is just going to go along with the Majority even if doesn't benefit them/Have no Reason to.

Since Paula has option of doing the ordering...they are going to put CT first...and then JEK will be last...let's say CT's time is around 10 min....then as long as leroy, johnny, kenny, or brandon's team BEATS CT's time, then evan (being last) will DQ so that way they will automatically go in, and then CT will be voted in. If CT's time is 2 min and no one beats them, then evan will not DQ on purpose, obviously

Ya, it was sad to see Paula crying to Emily on Cutthroat...but what exactly is she doing that is bugging you on Rivals? Her and Ev are top dogs (I don't recall them being cocky or anything). Calling shots? She gave her opinion and got her alliance to back her what's wrong with that if she had no allegiance to Camila/Theresa? I would say she has been better than the rookies so far.
Yes I am a fan of Paula's and Jenn's and Ev's, but I can see both the good and bad sides of each. Jenn always goes with the flow in deliberation and Ev on FM2 bugged me, not her treatment of Luke but the way her and Wes handled their alliance. Maybe I'm being biased this season but I'm not seeing Paula or Ev as annoying so far on Rivals.
It really leaves CT/Adam in the cold right off bat or having to form an alliance before the show starts. But the numbers are already so on JEK side, why would you try to go against them and not just be neutral at that point. Makes it hard for the rest. CT/ADAM should have formed one with Mike/Leroy right off bat and tried to go from there
They should have, but it seems like Adam would not have because "Kenny is his boy" so I doubt he would want to form an alliance to oppose his friends.
The first thing I wondered when I saw this challenge was why they each didn't put one hand on either side of the bar so that each person's weight would be distributed over the whole thing rather than have it off balance, but I saw on Johnny's twitter that that was against the rules and would've DQed them. He also said that Adam did it and I went back and looked and when Adam first jumped he had a hand on each side. Not a big deal since it wasn't a guy day, but they definitely got away with a DQ.
The first thing I wondered when I saw this challenge was why they each didn't put one hand on either side of the bar so that each person's weight would be distributed over the whole thing rather than have it off balance, but I saw on Johnny's twitter that that was against the rules and would've DQed them. Adam responded assuring Johnny that he had his hands only on his side, but the camera angles did make it look like he had a hand on CT's side. I re-watched it and I'm the Adam, looks like he grabbed his side to me and I'm sure he wouldn't have taken it off and moved it and risked falling.
I will say it again, the girls should have no say on the guy days and the guys should have no say on a girl day. That would make things so much simpler. Also, after watching the episode again, I realized that the reason all those teams fell off was because they didn't support their body weight when they grabbed onto the pole. CT did, Adam did, and Wes did. When you grab the pole, your body will fall and extend your arms all the way and it put all the weight into your hands and fingers. If they did a pull up, it would have put the weight into their arms.
At first I had respect for Evan deciding to try and take out CT. After having some time to think about it, I think its a really stupid move.
If he beats him, he, Kenny, and Johnny will be in the final 3 with their partners.
If he loses, he gets no money while Kenny and Johhny would be battling it out for 2nd place, because he correctly assumes that no team will beat CT/Adam in a final challenge.
I'd do whatever I could to force Johnny and Tyler to take them out, otherwise i'd rather just do nothing.
Its an interesting strategy to use strong teams/players to take out the biggest threat to an alliance. This is actually why I'm still mad that CT went home on the Duel 2. Evan would've tried this same strategy to get him out with Mark/Brad/Landon/MJ/Big E/Dunbar.
I think he took this idea from Wes when in the Duel 1, Wes succesfully convinced Evan to be the one to take CT out.
By the way if strip away all of the elimination/challenge wins, there is no question that CT is the best male competitor in the history of this show.
Yay! Another win for Paula and Evelyn! I'm really glad Evelyn finally has a partner who can keep up with her. And I think Evelyn being her partner makes Paula even stronger because she has more confidence.
Theresa and Camila did seem like the right choice, since they've come in close second on the last two challenges. This would have both gotten rid of a strong team AND maybe taken out Laurel/CM. I was just kind of disappointed Jonna/Jasmine didn't go in. They kind of annoy me, and while it's true they didn't do that well today, they did win before and given her history with game shows, Jonna think strategically. I hope this doesn't come back to bite Paula/Ev in the ***.
Laurel is a hot mess right now. Yeah she won this Jungle with Cara Maria, but she has GOT to get it together...that's the third time she's DQed, and it was definitely her fault this time AND last time. I'm not sure about the first time. I kind of want her to start doing her best (and then still get beat by Evelyn and Paula to prove she isn't as unbeatable as she thinks she is), but with her attitude I wouldn't mind seeing her go home.
I'm kind of hoping they do a challenge that has to do with how well you know your partner a little later down the line, sort of like on BOTSeasons. I know it won't be exciting, but I think it kind of plays off the Rivals theme a little better.
