Original Season: Real World: Key West Status: Veteran Challenges Won: Cutthroat Rival Teammate: Johnny Devenanzio MTV Bio: After winning Cutthroat, Tyler explains his goal for Rivals, "The reason I'm doing this Challenge is because I want to scale a mountain! I want to jump off of cliffs! I want to do crazy ***!" While Tyler is ready to seek out adventure, one surprise that he was not counting on was being paired up with his rival, "From a sanity standpoint? Yeah. It's going to be a little tough." We'll see if this avid swimmer and Real World: Key West alum can take home the gold two times in a row.

I feel bad that this kid's thread is silent, haha, so I'm just commenting to say that I'm surprised by how much I've grown to like him (he used to be an immature little ****, guess he grew up) and I'll root for his team.
Tyler is one of my favorites and I'm really looking forward to seeing him again. I think him and Johnny are a good pairing, and I'm pretty sure they will work together very well.
Tyler is one of my Challenge favorites ever since his showing on Cut Throat.
Tyler had a good showing on Cutthroat. Let's see if he can continue that.
Hope he goes far!
I'm excited to see how Tyler performs on this challenge. He did do very well on Cutthroat, but not so hot on his other 2 challenges. However, I'm not his biggest fan after Cutthroat. While I don't dislike him he said some things that just rubbed me the wrong way.
Apparently he likes to pop the pills as well if you know what I mean haha. I listened to Derrick's podcast a while ago and remembered Johnny talking about being paired with Tyler, it was pretty funny, here's the link if you wanna listen. I hope Evil Tyler is back, he was far too nice on Cutthroat.

He used to be such a drama queen, but I get the impression his priorities have changed. He used to be kind of a camera *****, now he's just here to win. I'll bet his portrayal on Gauntlet 3 has something to do with it, he was probably kind of embarrassed at the way he was portrayed.

In cutthroat he did good and pretty much minded his own business, the only time he minded someone elses business was when the read team was just really being unfair to camila. But then in the cutthroat reunion it seemed like he had some of his old habbits back, thinking he can say whatever he wants. When the discussion with laurel/big easy was kinda stuck, tyler started yelling why cant we just move on while the reunion host wanted to keep going about it. If he just keeps his cool here and minds his own business, he'll be a good competitor on every challenge.

Like in the 2nd mission when he said that it's something you want veterans doing, even though Mandi had been in more episodes than him AND Chet. Then there was episode 5 where he somehow became the self-proclaimed leader of the team alongside Brad.
Tyler getting thrown into the gauntlet was perhaps the funniest moment in challenge history.
I really couldn't stand Tyler on The Real World, The Duel, and The Gauntlet 3. But on Cutthroat I was a huge fan of the guy mostly due to the fact he seemed to have matured and wasn't the just gay guy, which annoyed me the most about him.
Tyler getting thrown into the gauntlet was perhaps the funniest moment in challenge history.
TYLA! Get it girl!
TYLA! Get it girl!
Hahahaha. That was so rude of Johnny, but the way he said it made my day. Tyler used to be too big of a drama queen and I never really understood why he picked Johnny in the Duel. The reason he gave for doing it didn't make much sense.

Why on earth did he have condoms in the first place? Who the hell were you planning to sleep with, son? Davis?
Why on earth did he have condoms in the first place? Who the hell were you planning to sleep with, son? Davis?
Well to his defense, he most likely decided to bring them before he knew the cast list. You never know what kind of challenge it could be. It could've been FM3 and there could've been a new hot gay guy.
...Or Landon Lueck. I heard how Ryan K was impressed about him. Did he change his hair color? In this pic it looks the same but in episode 2 his hair looks... brown.
There's always Ty...
Why on earth did he have condoms in the first place? Who the hell were you planning to sleep with, son? Davis?
Locals, crew... the list of opportunities is endless...

And he didn't have to read the vevmo spoiler thread! These people all do their research before a challenge. Heck, JEK were hard at working building there alliances weeks before they left for Costa Rica.
When did this guy get so cut/huge? Did you see his "confessional" in episode 3 when he is talking about being scared and didn't jump on the zipline? Holy ****!
I'm pretty sure he takes steroids....he was so skinny on D1 and G3 and his random outbursts on the Cutthroat reunion don't help his case.
The kid's not on steroids. If you are consistently working hard in the gym and eating like a pig, you're going to put on mass... consuming more calories than you burn = increase in bodyweight. Being 205 or 210 pounds for somebody who is 6'1" and works out regularly isn't anything odd or out of the ordinary. It was also something like 3 years between challenges for him too, plenty of time to put on the weight that he's gotten up to. It's the people that balloon up in short periods of time that you should raise your eyebrows at for steroid use like Danny on Inferno 3 or Wes anytime he's on a show. Wes' arms and shoulders look noticably smaller in pictures when he's not on a challenge or when he does interview shows for MTV about challenges than when he's filming challenges.
Locals, crew... the list of opportunities is endless...
What? Really?
Hope townie is right about Tyler not taking steroids, because I'm just starting to like him recently and it's hard not to judge 'roid-heads. :\
townie is right about Tyler...we hadn't seen him in like 3 years, so he could definitely get that big and cut in that time, after all isn't he like a personal trainer too? But I disagree with you about Danny....he did get BIG in Inferno 3, but the "big" that he got, looked like a lot of weight gainers, and possibly creatine or NO. Joey from hollywood is steroid big and that was totally different than Danny.
Road Rules' Danny on The Gauntlet 2 is another good example. Not only was he ridiculously bulged up but his roid rage outbursts were off the charts.
Tyler went from 1 of the most decent people on cutthroat to 1 of the biggest ********** on rivals.
