The Challenge: Rivals II - CT & Wes

Wes and CT have one of the most infamous rivalries in Challenge history. Their tumultuous past dates all the way back to The Duel, and most recently flared up on Rivals when Wes tried to take CT out of the game. "I'm paired with someone who's threatened my family's life, who I've gotten in screaming matches with in four or five different countries, that I legitimately am scared of," Wes explains. However, these two savvy players understand they'll need to keep the peace in order to bring home a win. CT promises, "We may not be the best of friends now, and we may not be the best of friends in the end, but we both want to win. We're gonna give everyone a run for their money." Ever the bad-boy Romeo, CT ends up romancing his ex, Diem, but also cozies up to several other girls in the house for political purposes. Wes may finally have a pit bull for a partner, but can he keep him on his leash? Or will CT's impulsive personality send this power team packing?
Yay
My favorite male team.
Yeah the funny thing is I think a skinnier Wes will help the team because a bunch of those day challenges appear to involve one partner holding the other in some capacity.
This is gonna be a team to watch. I'll root for them only because I want to see CT actually win a challenge.
they look like they just got out of bed, and CT is probably the biggest dude on there by far, just saw frank's pic and he looks tiny next to CT
CT is probably the biggest dude on there by far
Zach would be his biggest competition.
My CT admiration has waned tremendously since the Duel, but I do LOVE Wes. Besides, this is one of the few genuine rivalries so I am anxious to see this team perform. Hoping for another Wes win.
I would like to see them win, but there's just no way they'll beat Johnny and Frank in a final. They're great at missions, but CT smokes and Wes said he barely runs. Predictions: 2nd place
I cannot wait to see how these guys do in the challenge; it'll be interesting to see how Wes handles CT and his ways.
I would love to see them all the way to the end but I almost want to see them not winning. Competition wise this is the best team so they should be number 1.

Predictions: 2nd place
That is unless the final has more obstacles that have to deal with Strength. And I seriously hope it does too because BOTS2 final was basically a marathon with 3-4 obstacles. Imagine if the Final incorporated obstacles like those seen in Tough Mudder and Spartan Races? That would make any challenge a lot more brutal.
This is the team to beat. The Challenge is theirs to lose. Simple as that. I agree we need to see a Final that has more obstacles like Tough Mudder and Spartan
Despite Wes looking incredibly light, he's done enough of these to know what he's physically capable of. Even on Battle of the Seasons, the Austin team didn't do too bad in the first Challenge solely because of their experience - which plays a part in things. CT's hopefully kicked the cigs (probably not), and hopefully he can win this thing.
I watched the CT/Wes tirade from Rivals, and I have to say, that I admire how cool Wes handled the situation. This should be an interesting duo...I can't seem to help that I am a fan of both of them.

He was confident CT wanted to be there and wouldn't start swinging at him. He just wanted to get him riled up.
My favorite quote from Wes was during the Reunion: "He said he would fly to Kansas and kill my family!" - Wes (on CT)
Team Redemption is what this pair should be called because the last time these 2 were seen on a challenge it was on a sour note and the last time either of these guys were in a final they were both defeated by Johnny Bananas. This challenge is a chance for both men to gain redemption for years CT has been considered one of the best competitors in Challenge history but he's never gotten that W at the end and as for Wes he started out on a hot streak winning 8 elimination rounds in a row and winning the 1st ever individual challenge but since then he's been on a downward spiral in Challenges only making it to the finals once in 5 challenges since his Duel 1 victory.
This is one of the few teams that I'm generally interested in. I wonder if Wes actually wants to win this time, and I have no idea how the alliances will work this season. Also, this is 1 of the only true rivals on this season.
Wes said on twitter that he's weighing in at 160lbs...just 20-25lbs heavier than Adam K. and that's not good lol but as a poster above said, Wes has enough experience to know what's physically capable of doing and wouldn't come onto a challenge if he knew he stood no chance if he were to make it to a final.
All I Need This Challenge!!!
Please don't jump down my back. I know it is unrealistic to draw conclusions from a trailer but, what happened to CT. On the last two challenges I saw him on, (Rivals and BOTE) he was a much calmer and relaxed Ct. In the preview it seemed as if he was fighting a lot. What has happened since then? I wonder what, if anything is going on?

That is an intentional edit by producers from hundreds of hours of footage. Since CT has the highest Q rating of any RW cast member, it's not a surprise that MTV would want a trailer that has "reach" with a particular demographic proclivity toward alpha male violence. They probably could have made a trailer of people chilling by the pool, or peacefully asleep, or quietly "enjoying" each others' company and people would be wondering how there could be a challenge with no drama. I guarantee I could make that kind of trailer without having yet seeing any footage from the season. [See, no "jumping down your back, just a quiet explanation of how trailers can serve a particular purpose by having a particular focus. :) ]

First, I thought you meant IQ:D For me, it's still a surprise how little Wes has been shown on this trailer. He must have a high Q score, too.

Here's a good link to "Q" Ratings 101: Q Score - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Its true all of the CT fights look like from the same night (the first night)Ty/Frank/Marlon, CT is even wearing that tank top in the pool with Marlon (why is he fully clothed in a pool?) and when grabbing Ty. The green shirt was also on the 1st night cause hes seen with Diem who is wearing her challenge picsclothes, CT had a busy 1st day, the fight with Johnny seems to be some other time, but those fights were literally the whole trailer, makes me think did nothing else happen all season??? lol
dont know if thats a spoiler so i'll just say it is
These are just observations made on the trailer. It's not a spoiler.
johnny and ct would have been a good team for rivals 2
johnny and ct would have been a good team for rivals 2
There is no way the could get away with putting ct and johnny as rivals on a team specially since on the last season they were together on the worked together on must of it.

I wonder what, if anything is going on?
CT & Ty have butted heads a couple of times in the past so it was only inevitable that a physical altercation was going to happen between the two if they kept getting cast together. Ty likes to run his mouth. The fight with Frank started because Frank tried pulling the same crap with him that he pulled with Zach and Alton in the past. Get in somebody's face and play tough for the cameras because he knew neither one was going to do anything to him. Once CT started to get physical with Frank and push him around the kitchen like a crash test dummy, Frank wanted no part of him, just like when Wes got him worked up on Rivals 1 and then soon regretted it.
There is no way the could get away with putting ct and johnny as rivals on a team specially since on the last season they were together on the worked together on must of it.
I'm sorry, but I believe MTV gets away with just about anything it wants to do, as the have so often demonstrated elsewhere in the forum over the years. The reason is that they have the power...and wield it as they choose, irrespective of any viewer opinions to the contrary.
