I guess she is bringing in viewers to RW: PDX. But it will only take her making one wrong misstep on Challenge for a couple of cast to try and put her teeth down her throat.
Of course, this will all change if the City of Portland decides to take BMP & MTV to task for things that have happened.
RW Portland averaged about 1M viewers before Nia appeared and has averaged about the same, even for the heavily hyped "fight" episodes. Tell me she is worth their angst in dealing with her, especially if it is true that she was looking for (or even just talking about) finding some hood rats to dish out her revenge of crew and cast. Imagine that you are the insurance underwriter who learns of this and must decide on the coverage rates for any challenge in which she appears. That she is a liability would be a significant understatement.

Fair enough. I do not have the background you do so I do not know enough about the insurance aspect.
However, I am interested to hear if Portland follows up on what you were suggesting might happen.

I think I've asked the right questions of the obvious local people. Thus far, the consensus seems to be that it's best at midnight on Wednesday to forget it ever happened. It's just generally an embarrassment to community leaders. In one instance, I asked about Nia's reported effort to recruit "gangsters" to back her up vis-a-vis crew and cast. The immediate response to my question, "Sorry, I have to take an important phone call." Click... The Oregonian may have something more to say on this in their Wednesday edition, but they're not talking in advance of publication.
With the laxness on fighting, I can imagine Nia and Tina getting within arm's reach. Of course, if Nia annoyed Wes, he play mind games and show her that she hardly wins her game of manipulation. Hell, after seeing it, I wouldn't be surprised if Aneesa uppercut Nia. Or Camila or Jemmye or .... Heaven forbid she got Emily pissed off.
I would LOVE to see Nia get in Aneesa's face. That would be magic.

Are you missing the words "try to" in the first sentence above? ;)
I find Nia to a very distasteful woman and her attempts for drama to be pathetic. I don't understand why people are so gungho to see her on a challenge. Drama for drama's sake doesn't always bring viewers(as we have seen on the Portland Season) and her grabbing weapons to back her fighting style is a recipe for someone to get seriously injured.

Perhaps because we would like to see her tangle with someone who would not only knock her down off of her pedestal. But as V1man said above, the chances are slim as she is most likely an insurance liability.
I see where you're coming from. :boxing: But her total lack of insight into her own actions where blame is concerned tells me a lot about her character or lack thereof. Needless to say, that isn't an overriding requirement for challenge competitors, though. It will be interesting to see how Bird and Jessica interact in this environment. I could see Jessica being like leading a sheep to slaughter.
LMAO, well for someone everyone can't stand, you all talk about Nia a lot more than people who like her do...
Personally, I'm doing my best to make her 15 minutes memorable -- before her name is relegated to the dustbin of reality TV history... :devilish: when she may join Ana and Jessica, but at least neither of them is pretentious in the absurd.
Enough about Bird/Jessica and Averey/Nia....the cast member I really wanna see compete in the future is DAISY.
Oh hell no! I'd see her being totally obnoxious, starting petty drama for camera-time.... Frank 2.0 ;)
So i came back to this site once I saw the preview for the next season up! I'm still keeping my distnace....I don't want to be spoiled but I wanted to comment on this thread.
For some reason I really have liked the Portland cast. I was sad Avery wasn't on this challenge...but I think Jessica / Ana is an interesting pairing...especially because in the latest episode they seem to have become friends by default again. I hope they make it past the first couple of episodes...but I don't see them lasting long sadly. If it was a different set up, like maybe a group challenge, i'd say they'd have more of a shot. I hope they last for a few episodes! And go Bird for slapping CT!!! :D
nia said she was too busy with her book and she couldnt do it(spreecast).
Understandable. I imagine marketing an imaginary book must be though...

If I could give an award for "Post of the Week," this would be the hands-down winner.
Nia is still trying to make people believe she is writing a book? Saying that you turned down a publishing deal for 1.3 million dollars is not a good way to make it believable. She is a delusional, chronic liar.

Perhaps she thinks she can make more than that by self-publishing. For that to happen, she probably needs way more than a paltry 1M viewers for tonight's witching hour of her final 15 minutes of fame.

Her marketing plot will be selling the book at nightclubs during the playoffs of the 4 major sports.

Thugwrestling, Bongpassing.. what other two of her major sports am I missing?

Nice, V1man. ... Lamptossing and smacktalking.
Actually, I was referencing the major sports: football, baseball, basketball, and hockey. If she actually had a book written and printed up, it would not surprise me to see her show up with a truckful of them in Miami right now.
8 pages of Nia talk.
It's only three pages for me. You can adjust your page settings.
Actually, I think it is a compliment to Ana and Jessica there are so few comments intent upon degrading them. Nia's arrogance simply invites the rampant negativity.

Does it being 3 pages change the fact that is totally off-topic?
Regardless, this is to discuss Ana and Jess on the Challenge, not to bash Nia, who apparently no one gives a **** about, yet everyone loves to talk about her.
i ratter see avery and nia on rivals 2 and i thought jessica and anastasia squashed there beef
That hardly matters to MTV.
