While it may be great to some people, it's a **** shoot. With the challenge ratings being as low as they are, can they really afford to bring in a bunch of new people with no challenge experience who we haven't seen in a while? As we've all seen, a person can be one way on their RW season and completely different on the Challenges. BMP and MTV bring in the people they know will bring competition, or drama, or ***, or laughs. At this point, they're going for a sure thing versus the unknown. Can't say I blame them.
Well the sure thing hasn't been working. Because despite them bringing in the same **** people who apparently brings the drama. The ratings still haven't been what they once were. I see what they are doing. But at the same time though they have to figure that maybe people are tired of the same ol, same ol. I mean these challenges have gotten predictable and repetitive over the years. Maybe they should take a chance on the unknown...Nothing else seems to be working.
I hope we get another challenge this year after Battle of the Exes, but some of depends on if the Real World will continue.

I just think it would suck if those roommates won't have the opportunity to be on a challenge.

Can't really blame them for that when they only have 1 show on contract. The challenges have gotten predictable because they let JEK control the game too much. Outside of Wes/CT no one has opposed them at all.

I did see online that RW is having casting parties still so I guess they are all set to start on the fall film season of that.
I think you're confusing Brittini with Brianna...
Sure enough... I blame the bad combination of football and booze.

Because I don't remember any other part of the season when the ratings did well enough for them to want to renew it. And your second part...I agree whole hartedly and that's why I would like an entire cast made up of Rookies so we don't have that problem.

Episodes 6,8,9, and 10 (Finale) all had over 1.9 million viewers which is higher than the season premiere. The ratings really picked up at the mid season point. If they keep that momentum for the entire season (unlikely) then they could possibly get a 2 show contract where they could experiment with some changes.
I was just listening to the Brandon podcast with Mark, and they had a girl caller and she came on swearing and I was like *** is up with this weirdo, and she's like you guys know me, then I realized its Laurel but they couldn't figure it out right away, Mark thought she was Emilee, kinda sad that I recognized her voice before they did..

The problem with a brand new cast is that most of the new challenge fans don't watch the real world and would be like "Who are these people, Johnny isn't on this? I'm not watching." That's why BMP needs a gradual transition to a new focus of people.

Team A gets the teepee; Team B gets the houseboat; Team C gets the Cave etc.

But if was just 30 people. I would have 15 of them be Newbies/Rookies. Just so that It would be an even number of Old and New.

Cara, Jaz, Laurel, and Camilla have all gotten pretty good air time. They just seem to be lacking new strong male characters.

I actually think it is a noble thing to do, but am skeptical they will achieve great success.
Unsure if anyone read this great article on Grantland by David Jacoby on Battle of the Exes. Really good, plus a PER on each challenger. I really want another team challenge. I feel like the newbies will never win in these pair challenges.
When will we might get for season 23? any ideas molds(if its renewed)?

It's never gonna happen. The BMP people would NEVER do a challenge where the other people were getting hundreds of thousands of dollars while they're only getting 4-5 figures.
Tell that to Priscilla who probably got paid pennies compared to Mark.
And your basis for that would be? obviously the fee would vary depending on how long you were there and would exclude prizes, but week for week it should be the same from what I read.
And your basis for that would be? obviously the fee would vary depending on how long you were there and would exclude prizes, but week for week it should be the same from what I read.
This has been discussed to death, but... Priscilla, as a rookie, gets paid weekly. Mark, as a veteran, gets a flat fee for his appearance. So yes, Mark would have been paid much more than Priscilla this season.

Katie said in a recent interview that they used to be paid differently depending on who you are but now everybody gets paid the same appearance fee to make it more fair. She was talking about "Cutthroat" and how everybody was paid the same.

If I was BMP I would pay them different amounts based on how much they mean to the show and how easy it was to get them to come back.
Cara Maria answered a question on formspring a few weeks ago. She said everyone gets paid the same per week.
