Emily Baily never tried to be mean. She wasn't mean for shits and giggles she was cutthroat to win money. People either disliked her or liked her. She took out her competition and started from the bottom (her & Rachel lost first in Sergeant Says) and made it to the top because she was a solid competitor. I think she was hot smart and physical. Always really liked Emily. I also really liked Veronica!
The fact that MTV/BMP hardly even acknowledges her existence is just.....when is the last time Emily appeared in ANY capacity on MTV, even just a 2-second shot?
I'm loving Invasion so far but the format still annoys me. They need to stop making shit up along as they go like they did with Bloodlines/Invasion. They should go back to having a great format that's consistent from beginning to end like they did with the other challenges before Bloodlines. I think that Ruins/Fresh Meat/Cutthroat had the most amazing formats.

Agreed.
The Ruins had so much potential if they cast some great guys like Greg from Hollywood, Scott from Brooklyn, CT, etc. Imagine Greg sending someone like Evan or Johnny home **** ah it makes me sad thinking about what could've been )=

That's what makes me mad about that season. It could've been one **** of a season if the challenger teams was strong and united. Could've been a good back and forth and I bet JEK wouldn't have had as much power as they did.
The Challengers team was so awful. Who in their right mind from production thought that team with Casey and Shauvon and other weak links stood any chance against the Champions?
Also the Challengers team voting in Brianna over Casey still ****** me off. They sealed their fate with that decision. Disappointing that Brad made that underhand deal with JEK.

Don't even get me started with that **** Brianna is one of my fav RW girls of all time and they did her so ******* dirty smh even Kim voted her into the ruins instead of Casey. I was so heated. Wasn't it said that Brianna actually beat Susie but it was rigged for Susie to win?
In a perfect world, the Challengers team should have been:Brad, CT, Scott, Greg or Will, Cohutta, Dave, IsaacKellyAnne, Sarah, Aneesa, Ruthie, Diem, Brittini or Brianna, Kim
just remove Cohutta and Kimberly, and keep Greg/Will/Brittini/Brianna.

If that was the team I bet you Brad doesn't make that deal..or he probably still does as he was desperate to win one at that point.

yeah Greg and Will together on a challenge would have been everything. Wish they were on Rivals.

Yeah. They could've replaced Davis/Tyrie..Or Evan/Nehemiah.
There was so many good names from Hollywood - New Orleans 2 era that were snubbed because of Fresh Meat and Camila and all the tired regulars from that era.

I agree with some of this
The Challengers should have kept Brad, Danny, Adam K, Cohutta, Chet, Sarah, Kimberly, KellyAnne & Brianna...can't even blame them for Diem. Dunbar, Nick, Shavuon and Casey were the issues because you needed a solid team to compete against Champions. Even Dunbar was understandable. The girls needed two of Aneesa, Ruthie & Jenn and they badly needed CT. Will/Greg/Scott/Dave...none of that changes anything. The issue wasn't characters it was the level of competition. Kimberly, KellyAnne & Sarah all competed well. Brianna was worth a shot. Diem could have been solid if she wanted to be there. But Casey & Shauvon in this format doesn't work--though I'm sure production was thinking the Champion girls weren't stacked...only Evelyn was elite...so they thought it would create balance. Casey being there forever was the main problem. The format was great though.
Like others have said...The Ruins & Cutthroat had the best format. The Duel was solid because if you got sent in you got to pick your opponent. Free Agents would have been infinitely better if everyone that didn't win safety was eligible to be voted in and sent to the draw. Fresh Meat was solid. Bloodlines and Invasion were set up poorly as they tried to be too creative.

I think people overstate how good that era could have been. Kimberly, Brittini and Brianna are about it from Hollywood. Will & Greg don't work. Dave could have been relevant but the ***** quit. We basically saw everyone from Cancun that could have done anything. I know people like Bronne but let's me real. More CJ would have been good. I'm not convinced DC had people that truly wanted to do a challenge. NOLA should have been introduced before Seasons. That was the issue IMO...though I think Ashlee could have been very impressive.
You don't know if Will or Greg for sure wouldnt work out though. And so what if Dave quit? Look at the season he was on I'd quit too if I were him.
Unless you're Coral, if you quit you're probably not coming back. Even Coral hasn't been back though I'm sure they'd take her. People just want every black male to be on the show. Greg couldn't follow the rules on his show. He wasn't going to be on The Challenge. Will's best known for dating Janelle. Enough said. Dave was the only guy on that cast that had potential to be on The Challenge more than once or twice. Now, I'd teak Will or Greg over Nick Brown but I highly doubt Will was interested and Greg probably wasn't considered.
Personalities matter far more on team challenges like Cutthroat, The Gauntlet and The Inferno. But with the Duel and even The Ruins (because of Champs vs. Challengers) competition mattered greatly. This is why I miss big team challenges because weak competitors (see Katie) could still be relevant. And they could also surprise us. With pairs & individual formats they're simply wasting a space.
You put Will or Greg on a season like Cutthroat then I'm sold. On The Ruins or a Duel...no.
The fact that the challengers chose Brianna to go in over Casey in the 1/207999 missions they won proves that's they deserve to enjoy every loss they got
Great article. That look Emily gives Veronica while shes standing up there is iconic! Take note, people. That is a true queen.
Yep. None of these little girls now can measure up to the what Emily was back then.
Emily Baily never tried to be mean. She wasn't mean for shits and giggles she was cutthroat to win money. People either disliked her or liked her. Emily is the O.G. She invented the game and would've loved to see her on more challenges and in elimination rounds.
The fact that MTV/BMP hardly even acknowledges her existence is just.....when is the last time Emily appeared in ANY capacity on MTV, even just a 2-second shot?
Emily ended her challenge run too early. Right when the golden era was born.
I'd say she was apart of the golden era honestly. IMO Road Rules All-Stars-Gauntlet was the golden era of this show.

It's depressing when you think about it.
I think that extreme challenge is one of the worst seasons ever
I agree with some of this

I kinda want to see baya but she definitely wouldn't make the cast even if shewasn't completely over reality TV
