If Faking it is consider a hit and got a second season with those ratings, then the challenge is a hit on MTV standard right now lol plus it's cheaper to make than scrip it shows.
By the way good thing about the challenge that is the one with the most competition, but it has been consistent through the entire season unlike Catfish/16 & Pregant, Awkward and Faking it that go up and down every week by a lot.
So hopefully this means that we still have another season of The Challenge in store for us? If it's the third-highest rated show on MTV, I can't see them wanting to cancel it.

Yes, but it's pretty incosistent last week it got .8 then this week it got a 1.3.

Did you see the ratings for Duck Dynasty's premiere from Wednesday. It got a 1.8 in the demo, which is still pretty good, but last season's premiere garner above a 3.0 in the demo, which is a huge fall. I have never understand the appeal with that show, I have tried to watch it, but I can't get through one episode.

It will be interesting to see how the final does (ratings-wise) given that there will be no CT and it appears to be no competition and forgone conclusion on the female side at least.

If the lack of CT lowers ratings, MTV may as well drop all plans for season 26. [B][U]No single person should make or break the show[/U][/B], but then again, it's MTV and BMP's fault for making him the center of attention season after season.

You hate him because fans love him? He didn't do anything, didn't had an storyline and was hardly shown this season...But he still is the only cast member that have been trending either in the USA or worldwide in almost every episode. Last night he was trending for the entire hour of the show.
I agree with no one has to break or make a season. But at the end in real life some people are more likable and charismatics than other. A lot of fans seems yo dislike Theresa.

Haha the CT & Bananas, Poor Zach and Yes CT was trending in the US though, but I've never seen #thechallengefreeagents trending in Canada before, so that has to be good?
I'm contemplating on not watching the final as well. Production really ****ed up this time. I would be fine if CT lost in a REAL climatic elimination like an endurance or physical one, but puzzles? Meanwhile Riley is on the sidelines in the final without even proving anything? Pathetic.

I have a feeling that last night's episode will do fairly well in ratings due to the twitter trends and the TBC from last week's episode. That being said, I don't think the finale will do that great. I keep seeing people being discouraged about who was eliminated and who made the finals(with it being predictable). All I gotta say is don't hate the players, hate the game. I'll still watch the finale, just to compare it with Rivals 1 and Exes finale in terms of brutality.

Haha I use to think that it could matter but not really. I have seen crazy twitter trends and **** ratings and I have seen no twitter mentions, yet high ratings.
It also seems like a lot of episodes that have a big build up the week before always fall flat for some reason ratigns wise. You would think people would tune in for he to be continued but it seems like it may turn people off. Maybe if they did the to be continued with the CT/Johnny matchup it would have been more intriguing.
Maybe if they would have put all of the competitors in that last puzzle elimination, or given us a good old physical/endurance elimination then things would be a lot better. Production dropped the ball.
