I have a feeling San Diego and Cancun is running the show. Zach is good friends with CJ and Frank is good friends Jaz and Derek. So they must have had a plan to stick together going in to this challenge.
I agree, definitely see them having an alliance. I just hope this challenge doesn't turn into a Frank and 'everybody hates me' show. I wouldn't mind if SD were to win it, the reason I don't want them to is because of Frank, but if he is more mellow on the challenge that might change my mind. I like Sam and Ashley, don't mind Zach.
Can we please get rid of Fresh Meat or San Diego next? Lol
If you're not a fan of the fresh meat team, I think you will soon be pleasantly surprised.
They could do a no elimination ep 1; ep2 a challenge no elimination; ep3 elimination then next challenge; a no elimination change of location; and a two part finals and stretch some space into the season with 4 going home. Or they could do 4 go home until they are down to 3 teams and then they split into pairs with only one pair from each remaining season going on to the finals. That could buy you up to three extra episodes depending on how they did the face-offs (but probably they would all be in the same episode for a gain of 1).

I'm about 70-30 on whether it is quads or pairs.
20/80 here

Yeah I undertand how an elimination every other episde would go down, but it just wouldnt work. It worked with a 30 minute episodes, but not hour episodes. They would have way too much filler time of absolutely nothing. The most boring episodes on Rivals/Exes was the ones that didnt end in eliminations and were TBC episodes because it was all boring filler drama that didnt matter at all.
Could you imagine the non elimination episodes. Drama leading up to a challenge, challenge, and then....nothing.

The scenario I was getting at was they could have the previous week's elimination at the beginning of the episode then the challenge with the next elimination at the beginning of the next episode. There would only be a week or two without both, there would be room to stretch the season some, and the weekly cliffhanger if you will might keep people watching week to week so ratings would be more stable.

This part is what would bother me the most if they decided to go with that. I mean in the past it worked but not anymore.

Have you seen The Ruins-present? They have done this before. And I seriously doubt each elimination would even be that interesting to begin with so therefore I think they should just do their own thing like what have for the past.
Whoo! I like those kind of spoilers too. So the new kids are gone. Don't really have an opinion on them because I know nothing about them obviously as competitors and I don't really care to see their season.
Go Cancun and Vegas! And those crazy New Orleans kids are still there maybe. I'm rooting for Brooklyn to go because I just don't like that cast. And Fresh Meat because Camilla's presence brings the casting down a few notches. I want a Real World cast to win.

A new kid is gone. There is no proof of the other three.

I wouldn't get too excited just yet. Pride oft cometh before the fall. There are other yet unconfirmed spoilers out there.
From the looks of the spoilers, my guess would be 4 pairs gets sent in to the elimination round ( 2 couples at the bottom and 2 couples voted in). And 2 out of the 4 get sent home. I could be totally off with this theory.

Recheck the spoiler thread...
Wow that's surprising. I expected Brandon and Cara Maria to do very well
A lot depends on the nature of the Challenges and of the eliminations and we really don't know anything about the competition aspects yet. For instance, if they have gone back to eating weird ****, pretty much anybody could be vulnerable.
I really hope it's teams of 4, I know signs seem to be pointing to pairs but please no!! If it were I'd rather have same gender which it doesn't look like it would be. I like having more than 2 champions crowned.
Does anyone know how often in the past that filming has stopped before 5-6 weeks?
I'm thinking they are competing on challenges as teams of four but when it comes to eliminations, the pair competing is either nominated by their own team or by the challenge winner/rest of the cast.
Ooh. Thanks molds. Personally I hope that it is teams of 4 because I am over the partner thing. Maybe they will compete as seasons a d then eliminations are different.
Jemmye and Preston. I'm laughing just picturing them on a challenge. Not even due to their abilities but their personalities.
Can't wait to see if the return of Alton or the debut of Thor will dominate in a big way.
As I will say until after the challenge is aired, go Cancun and Vegas
Looks like Camila drew the short or in this case, the fat end of the stick being partnered with Big Easy in the Fresh Meat group. Can't wait how to see how that pairing between her and Cara Maria went down.

Rivals took about a month. I knew that Paula had won as of March 6th, and the cast didn't depart for Costa Rica until February 3rd-4th.
I'm pretty sure that the pairs were chosen by the cast not the producers because for obvious reasons, the producers would put Knight and Jemmye together as a pair, but since it's Jemmye and Preston, I'm sure they picked to be partners themselves. Also, with Cara Maria and Brandon, Cara Maria wouldn't pick Big Easy over Brandon, and Brandon has known Cara Maria longer than he has known Camila. So I'm pretty sure they picked the pairings themselves.
Wow a lot of new spoilers today. Thanks molds!
I'm getting more and more interested about the format with each new spoiler. I'm hoping molds is right in her prediction of pairs within a team. Rooting for Knight/McKenzie if thats the case.
So as of right now, the only full teams that are still there (or rather, that there is no confirmation of them being eliminated) are SD, Cancun, Brooklyn, and Vegas. Actually that's more than I thought.
I wonder if they did get to pick their own partner for the challenge. Without knowing much, it looks like that could definitely be a possibility since Trey and Laura appear to have been partners, and something definitely went on with them during their season. Plus Jemmye and Preston, which would make sense because of the Knight/Jemmye breakup. Very interesting.

Alright thanks!
Well out of opposite *** pairs and teams of 4 I am praying it turns out to be teams of 4. But of course as a big fan of the challenges I will watch no matter what the format turns out to be.
I could see this starting off like Cutthroat where they have to do a race and the top 16 are automatically paired with the other from their season. or They throw in Team NOLA and they have to choose their partner and go 2 on 2 in elimination.

It would actually be pretty interesting if it the two paired teams from one season had to battle against each other. Although I guess once there was only one pair left from that season it would make that more difficult haha.
I was thinking the format could be:
Compete in the missions as a team of four.
The 2 teams that are picked to go in the elimination then divide in pairs (2 vs 2, 2 vs 2).
The two pairs that win their elimination round then combine together to make a team of four.
If they were competing in missions as pairs then why would they have 4 cast members from each season? There has to be a reason why the wanted 4 people from each season.

I agree, and I suggested something similar as a format back before we knew any eliminations. I suspect they compete in the missions as a foursome, but the two losing teams (however that is determined) each must nominate a male and female to go into elimination against a male/female from the other team (not pre-determined). The pair that loses goes home, and their remaining teammates compete in the next mission as a twosome. If the cast has a say in either of the teams going into elimination, I could see the benefit of going after different seasons each week (as appears to the be the case, other than Austin), as foursomes that stay intact throughout would probably have an edge in the finals, so it may be better to eliminate half of each team vs. all of one team.

Imagine having a list of people you know are going, seeing a trend, forming pre-game alliances based on this trend to benefit you and your team, and then getting to the location and realizing that you're actually competing against the people you thought you'd be competing with.
I can totally see MTV wanting people to think one thing and then dropping a bomb on them. It'd completely **** some of their games up.
