Main Character this season is Kai Anderson (Evan Peters). He's a mix of 6 cult leaders, including Charles Manson.

And, shockingly, a Trump supporter...who saw that coming?

Yessssss queen AB in the directors seat but it's still not enough

Kathy Bates also directed an episode/will direct an episode.

********* KVM has me rolling rn

RM's thoughts on AHS: Cult- "It was really about trying to understand: Why are people voting for X or Y candidate? What are they feeling? Why are they feeling belittled or disenfranchised or upset with the patriarchal system?" Murphy said. Our feeling is that everybody lost their shit after the election—Republican, Democrat—and everybody's still losing their shit, and nobody's really figured out from either side where to put those feelings," he said. “There is no real discussion. Everybody's still at each other's throats, you're either on one side or you're on the other. The season really is not about Trump, it's not about Clinton. It's about somebody who has the wherewithal to put their finger up in the wind and see that that's what's happening and is using that to rise up and form power, and using people's vulnerabilities about how they're afraid and don't know where to turn, and they feel like the world is on fire.”

If he tryna get a third political party in the mix, I'm here for it. But we don't need to do this tonight.

So Angela and Kathy won't be on it, but were involved? That sucks. I just assumed they were busy and couldn't make it... Kathy should be on every episode of every season. With a hammer, breaking peoples feet.

RM also said he has faith Jessica Lange will be back someday.

LOL--AGENDA

And don't think I didn't see all you **** acting like Hotel wasn't a good season. 1. After Freak Show, which was a complete ******* JOKE, I needed something like Hotel. At least it was rooted in horror and really wasn't a bad season. And 2. I hate Lady Gaga, but y'all really can't act like she didn't SLAY that season. She was incredible and didn't she like win awards for that or get nominated? And 3. She didn't get fired from AHS after Hotel cuz she was in the first 6 episodes of Roanoke so *peacemoji*

Bye if you want to argue that Hotel wasn't bad.

Hotel made me ashamed to be an AHS fan.

I loved Gaga. And yeah, she won a golden globe i think. Wasn't that the one she won after hitting Leo di caprio? lol

LOL--AGENDA

Im not familiar with RM or his other works, so I can't speak for the past, but a show called American Horror Story was bound to have a political theme. So idg ur point there.

And you're saying that he's like super liberal, but it doesn't even seem like this season is gonna have a crazy liberal theme either, and he even says it's not. It's a separate entity that forms power. If you can't go right-wing and you can't go left wing, you can only go center- which is not liberal it's something new entirely. So I'm not following you.

1. Murder House

2. Roanoke

3. Asylum

4. Hotel

5. Coven

6. Freak Show

like y'all can exit my thread.

Yes *****. Leo was laughing when she was walking up to the stage and he tapped his shoulder to get by so she could go up and get the award lol.

Bye if you want to argue that Hotel wasn't bad.

exactly. Nothing to argue the proof is in what we all saw which was trash

I mean @ the end of the day only Roanoke, Murder House, and Asylum are worth a ****. The others don't count

To each their own, if you like Hotel that's great.  All the dudes looked the same, I don't even understand what the point was (was there one?) and as bad as Freak Show was (you're not wrong, it was) Hotel wasn't better--or at least not much better.  I actually thought Gaga was solid.

Can you show me how Iris and Liz Taylor were trash???? Two of my favorite characters in the entire series. Goodbye!

I just loved Hotel's theme and Gaga was perfect.

1. Murder House2. Roanoke3. Asylum4. Hotel5. Coven6. Freak Showlike y'all can exit my thread.

I'm fine with this.  We agree that Coven wasn't that good.

We can all agree that Asylum was the best season, although i'm with kvm on the alien part, still don't understand what that was.

Murder House is #1 for me but that's because I prefer the location to be the focus.  I didn't feel as though Bliarcliff was really the "focus".  Lily Rabe was amazing in season 2 though.  Best performance of any actor on any season IMO

Not being an ***...what was the theme of Hotel?  I think that's why I didn't like it--I can't even answer that question

Vampires

If the theme of Hotel was about Lisa Lam, or at least something related to that, i think it would have been better.

Maybe that's why I didn't really like it--no real interesting in vampires.

Ok y'all, rewatch Hotel keeping in mind that the theme is about finding your niche in the world and feeling acceptance from yourself. Coming to terms with the bitter reality that life isn't always how you perceive it should be or will be.

Give it another chance, keeping that in mind and it's really an incredible season. Liz Taylor's arc is awesome. I love how their story ended.

Sorry I fell asleep

Okay--this is why I hated it--lol
