I think Sydney and Road Rules were supposed to balance out the vets. An OG RW San Diego team was almost cast with Robin, Cameran, Brad, and Randy. I don't recall what happened with them or Road Rules. Sydney I think made it to the intro with TJ and then got pulled, if I remember correctly Road Rules was supposed to replace them but Katie (maybe?) couldn't leave last minute. Fresh Meat was the only one ready and willing to fly out last second.
They used something medical to pull Isaac so they removed Sydney. Apparently it was fake too since he was cleared, Sydney would have been insanely interesting with the dynamics that season. Production messed up BIG time

They were trying to get rid of Team Sydney (and did). They told Isaac it was his heart, I believe he said he went back to his PCP who did his testing and said there was nothing wrong and he didnt understand why they said that. And then I believe it was Kellyanne also said once she was told it was because of her. Just very sus situation overall.
I hope Sydney was paid for their time. I hope Eddie & piggy were too.... Lauren also i guess, to be consistent

I just KNOW road rules would've tried to get rid of piggy too. Maybe Katie would've had another friend (since she got along with Kendal and Timmy, but they still threw challenges)

I rewatched The Ruins a few years ago and knowing everything I know now and at my age, that was a difficult watch in regards to Tonya's episodes. I don't understand how that was allowed to go for as long as it did.

Ashley was interested in doing the challenges until a couple years after... maybe it was Callie and by that point Ashley declined.

I think they were short a team hence the 4/4/2 team composition in the finale. They definitely intended in having one more team IMO
