I personally don't think mercenaries were needed for this season but I think it makes sense to make the eliminations around each of their expertise
Not really, it's actually a very embarrassing look to have your main cast get continously embarrassed in eliminations by mercenaries Skye's klan. It makes your cast look pathetic and weak and the casuals are just gonna complain about casting these losers over vets even more. Production intentionally got a weak cast for this to have their friends look good. It's so stupid.
